Alex B Darius Rucker is a current black country star, Living Colour were a huge hit in the 90s as a rock outfit. Just as the majority of of hip hop artists aren't white, the opposite may be true of these other genres. As far as rock in general goes I think there is a huge acceptance of other races and styles, especially considering that many artists acknowledge that rock was birthed from the blues. I overall though think drawing colored lines through music simply dilutes it's meaning in general. I thoroughly enjoy Aesop Rock and Action Bronson, not because they are white, but because they are solid rappers.

Darius Rucker is a current black country star, Living Colour were a huge hit in the 90s as a rock outfit. Just as the majority of of hip hop artists aren't white, the opposite may be true of these other genres. As far as rock in general goes I think there is a huge acceptance of other races and styles, especially considering that many artists acknowledge that rock was birthed from the blues.
I overall though think drawing colored lines through music simply dilutes it's meaning in general. I thoroughly enjoy Aesop Rock and Action Bronson, not because they are white, but because they are solid rappers.
Those cases of a brown Rockstar or country singer are far and few between compared to the acceptance level in hip hop of different cultures and backgrounds. Facts are facts.
