This is so cool.. I got a new 1981 atc 200, and I recall Seeing a new 250R first batch . Was a mail in offer with my purchase and got a honda atc hat . Remember had the catalog that showed the 250R with the fairing and windshield, also the chevron tire option. Saw some of the first 250rs race in Florida with some using reversed Goodyear terra , and some using flat track rear tires. I later got an 81 250R . Was the funnest thing in sand ever and fast . I still wouldn't want one now in my 50s tooooo dangerous. Now into fatbikes and electric bikes And jeeps . Also had an fl250 That was fun but needed electric start
I drilled 4 new holes in a banshee wheel one time. Worked fine, just have to center it properly. That hub and wheel came on it so I would fix those ones. For the rear brakes you will have to measure the bolt to bolt mounting holes distance. And just search brake calipers with those spaces and start trying some out. See what happens.
I'm gonna start looking in the red book see what bike models had disc brakes and the look at line routing and bleeder placement and bolt pattern hopefully i come up with something,
If you have enough room on the wheel you could drill and install later model steel insert to use tapered lug nuts. I have some I could send you and some wheel studs that have a bigger spline area.
Thanks for the offer, but I think the center hole is too big and if I went big enough for steel tapered seats I would be into the center hole and I could weaken the wheel
I never looked up odyssey.... I usually hit partzilla for the diagrams and part numbers then hit ebay looking for the correct part number... these 250r hubs are '943' the 110 center code
Building show bikes aint cheap! Great start to a once in a lifetime journey!
Absolutely
Love it brother! Can't believe it's actually happening!! So cool!

For the clutch lever, you might be able to use a factory 80s-90s XR clutch lever like off of an xr100.
There's 2 part numbers on partzilla the one is slightly different then oem 81 250R the other appears to be a match
I really like your videos very cool
Thanks for watching

I dont want to drill a hub out bigger for those later studs I want to retain as much original stuff as possible
Really enjoying your videos on this. All harassment aside it's super cool! Please don't be mad at me. 😀
Who could mad at you.. you're the best camera guy I ever threw dirt on hahahaa😎

The ice racer in the pics on your other video kinda have the same pattern as the holes in your tires.
Yea, 2 and 3 screws per knob on some of them
