HAND MADE exhaust, how did I do it let's find out #ATC #HONDA #PROTOTYPE

A few weeks ago, while in attendance at the vintage Wheeler palooza in upstate New York.Yes, the real upstate new york.I got a lot of compliments and kind words about an exhaust I fabricated myself while I don't consider myself a skilled Fabricator nor do I have any engineering experience.I figured I'd show you what I did cause it didn't take much....it was mentally exhausting to fit up the pie...

I miss ATVs I had 2 of them ... They should have never had them stop making 3 wheel bikes
@JamesHamilton-lb8qt if they had we would all have new ones
I’ve got a lead on two NOS Dunlops for the 82-84 big reds, still has the original packaging. He’s asking $500 per tire, what do you think about that?
@Coreyb83 that's probably going rate I don't know that I would pay that... but a guy doing a correct restoration probably would.... I always said collectively as buyers we need to say no... but now if you don't "overpay," someone else will

Now that you're the angry connoisseur of NOS ATC tires I have something you might want to add to your collection. Never installed OHTSU Pro Wedge 22x11.0x8.

@southeastvintagecyclerescue "angry connoisseur".... sounds like I'm a dinosaur hahhahahahah
@@tricycleguy2657 it's a long story. It's actually in one of my videos about a year and a half ago. I had no idea what it was at the time. Guy just threw it in the deal we'd already made. I think it would be at a much better home in your dungeon. I'll never do anything with it.

@@southeastvintagecyclerescue hahhahaaah you're too much hahahahhah
Nice score. I'd say for someone who only wants to display the tires the stickers add value. If they're going on a trike resotoration I'd say no value added for stickers.
@@southeastvintagecyclerescue thats simular to what I thought
@@tricycleguy2657 simular is good 🙂
@@southeastvintagecyclerescue realistically to go purchase a restored ATC the cost most of the time prohibits the ride. Would be pretty incredible to have stickers on tires sitting in a showroom on a restored bike. That's the other side of the coin 🪙
@@TorqueYork interesting idea. I would argue the brand new ATC's in the showroom didn't have stickers on the tires 🙂
@@southeastvintagecyclerescue Yeah I have no idea there. A guy would assume there was some somewhere that had stickers on tires in a showroom. Especially knowing these came from a dealer.
really cool! and id also say worth more with the sticker like how parts are worth more with original packaging. so to me itd make sense for it to be worth more. or slightly atleast.
@kollinspencer847 that's what everyone is saying.. I guess that's all the original packaging that tires had
Love it! Definitely worth more with the stickers, they contribute significantly tot he history and documentation. I believe the P/V and Pro Vector discrepancy existed only up until Honda and Ohtsu formed a partnership/agreement on/about 1985/86. There's a story in one of the magazines (I'll have to find it) that goes into detail on this. I seem to remember that Honda could not use "Pro Vector' as part of the new agreement so tires prior to 1985 were all labelled Pro Vector as Ohtsu owned exclusive rights. After the agreement, tires started to be printed P/V as replacements and many of the 'from the factory' models still had Pro Vectors on them through early 1986 to include the 350X and ATC250R. Some say 1986 350X's only had P/V but I don't believe that to be accurate as some very early off the assembly line examples did have Pro Vectors to the best of my knowledge.
@MacWorthVintageATVs thanks for the info. I want to read that article I never really thought that the sticker would be important to me an NOS tire stands on its own but so far the consensus is that the stickers increase desirability
nice score !!
@mikepalmgren8185 what's you opinion? With or without the sticker?
Nice..I'd say worth more with stickers

First time I've seen stickers.
@Crxpert1 I've seen them before but I'm always searching
Wow, what a haul! I feel like they’re worth a bit more with the sticker but who am I!
@@Coreyb83 I think that ads value but not 2,3, times more
@coreyb83 Exactly worth quite a bit more
@@tricycleguy2657 question for you around titles. I don’t have titles or any paperwork for my 83 & 84 Big Reds, the original owners are deceased. There is a guy that could get the machines Tennessee titles and then sign over to me. It’s not cheap but is there any value in doing that? Backdoor way to get a title I guess. Thanks
@Coreyb83 I'm no expert on titles and laws around it.. usually you can get a little more money when selling with a title... original certificate of origin to me are better then titles.. It does prove you own them but I have many without titles... not sure if it's worth all the hassle
@@tricycleguy2657 do you know how to get a copy of this certificate of origin? I’ve done a little bit of research and it says the original dealer would need to request it.

The only welding I've ever done is mig. It's super hot, I always blow through on thin stuff. So it really is an art to torch welding. Kudos man!!
@dennisbrooks186 I highly suggest trying with a torch once you get it....all forms of welding make more sense and are less intimidating
Mad respect that you are torch welding. I learned to weld back in the 80's when you were a young little angry pup with an Oxy/Acetylene torch setup. Sometimes I'd even use a metal clothes hanger as my filler rod when supplies were running low. Eventually graduated to a stick (arc) welder and finally MIG. Learning to TIG is on my bucket list. I'm not a great welder but I'm better than Preston. 🙂
@southeastvintagecyclerescue I'm a '92 model gas welding was long over till I popped out.. I can stick weld but "stick" it sure does many a coat hanger was sacrificed in the home shop to make repairs I can mig but it's almost too easy I like both hands in unison making stacked dimes..... they say torch and tig are very simular, ha simular
@@tricycleguy2657 I had you pegged as an older model. That's a compliment BTW based on your passion for the old trikes. Don't get mad! Agree torch and tig definitely require "simular" skills with both hands and a foot in the mix. 🙂
@southeastvintagecyclerescue hahah a clear and accurate record must be maintained I'm 32... I read a lot of literature that's where the "passion " comes from
