I'm sorry Shanon for the behavior of an ignorant person who make you feel sad. However this kind of behavior can be expected in a country which was in war for more than 4 decades. Be brave as you were before dont take it too much on heart just forget it.

There are assholes in every society who can ruin someone’s day. Afghan culture does not dictate that men should treat women negatively, nor does the religion of Islam (especially if they are guests). If someone prefers not to engage in conversation with a woman, they may simply ignore her presence or consult a male relative or companion instead. I hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable!

Islam is the reason for all of this. The hostility that this Ideology creates towards women is why behavior like this exist.

Don't lie please. He was behaving like a piece of sh**t and most of the Kaliban (Kalb means dog in Arabic btw) behave in this same way. When the US and NATO were in Afghanistan, Afghans from the neighboring countries were coming back to the country in their millions especially during the fist five years of the US presence when the Kaliban had not started making the country insecure.
If we have a referendum today, I bet that 95% of Afghan people would vote to bring back the US troops and get rid of the current oppressive regime. Seven million people fleeing the country in three years since the take over of the country by the Kaliban tells a lot.

This comment is for Alan & Shannon, and those who’ve already commented/will comment in the future about the micro-problem of women not being allowed to talk in certain circumstances in Afghanistan. Again, this is a micro-problem. It is a piece of certain parts of Islamic culture, still found in many places today, but is millennia old. Wilst traveling to places like Kabul/Afghanistan as a tourist, it is the tourist’s responsibility to understand, and abide by the local customs and culture that is set in place…to respect it, though you may not agree with it based off of your own personal values, ethics, or beliefs. It’s like the wrestler “The Rock” is famous for saying: ‘Know your role, and shut your mouth.”
What should be focused on instead is the macro-problem that places like Kabul/Afghanistan, and other places/countries have endured: the philosophy of Western Imperialism, where which the main goal is cultural gen.cide, then control that place/area/country/region by inserting permanent, Western military installations, or fund other groups to do the West’s bidding. That’s what we’re trying to do in Iran, what we’ve done in countless other countries, why we are fighting for Ukraine, and it’s all being done for $, or Western global dominance/hegemony through the continuation of the USD fiat monetary system, aka the maintaining of our global reserve currency dominance.
Furthermore, at 1:56 just ask yourself, doesn’t it seem funny that the US/the global West supported Al-Q with food, equipment, weaponry etc., to again, do the West’s bidding and take over Afghanistan? Fast forward to the 1 minute 56 mark of this video and beyond, and ONLY 5 years later Al-Q is named by the West as the ones who orchestrated nine ll?! Why would the same group that was being fed by the West, suddenly turn around and bite the hand that is feeding them?? Seriously, think about that. All of the suspects supplied to us by the media (which is bought and paid for by the US government/special interest groups that pay the US government) were supposedly members of Al-Q. Al-Q leader O. B. Laden is known to be a see eye A operative at one point in his life, essentially then a double agent, working for the US government, and subsequently given the title of the leader of Al-Q. Those aforementioned nine ll suspects were manufactured propaganda of the West, just like weapons of mass deestruktion were “in, and possessed by Iraq,” and that lie, that manipulation was forced upon the world, in order to justify the US’s invasion of Iraq…why, for oil, which at this point in the comment we know is for control of the $, which = power. The end.

also some talebans are orphan, because they lost their parents and USA+NATO killed hundreds of thousands of people.
they have built a very harsh mind because of 43 years of war.
also they are little bit extremist they justify their pagan cultural practices by using Islamic teaching with their own translation.
there is taliban's who are agree with womens going to University. then there is others who don't agree.

Your fake story/ lies, "Hazaras," can not hoodwing people anymore. I have many nonPashtun friends from Afghanistan who are very happy with the new Afghan government now. They say, "Afghanistan is a very safe country for everyone now".
War ended in Afghanistan. People are not dying anymore in Afghanistan because of the war.
But Some "Hazaras," and Kulabians, "Tajiks," who do not call themselves Afghans want to bring war to Afghanistan again. Hazaras who are supported by Iran and Pakistan want to break Afghanistan, want to create Hazaristan. Kulabians, "Tajiks," who are supported by Pakistan and Tajikistan want give Afghanistan's land to Tajikistan. They are both separatist groups.
The Fatemiyoun Army: Hazaras Crusaders in Syria
Loyal proxy groups, like the Fatemiyoun Hazaras Army, provide Tehran, "Iran," with a cost-effective means to confront its stronger foes with Hazaras.
      To non-violance, non-separatist Afghan Hazaras, Afghan Tajiks ❤ 🫶✌️

@@Alan_and_Shannon There is no doubt that the people of Afghanistan are hospitable, they consider anyone who visits their country as their guest and they treat them very kindly and even many of them take foreign tourists to their homes and treat them like a guest. Dear, they welcome them, but I mean the overwhelming majority of the people of Afghanistan, and there may be a very small number of bad people in Afghanistan, just like anywhere in the world, who want to abuse foreigners or deceive them and take their money. They steal, this is a natural thing, but the story of the Taliban is different. They are really a violent, fanatical, ethnic, and criminal group, and the reason they behave well with foreign tourists is because they need to be recognized by the countries of the world. They try to behave well with foreign tourists in order to show a good and beautiful face of themselves to the world, but their behavior with the people of Afghanistan, especially the non-Pashtun ethnic groups of Afghanistan, and especially the Hazaras, is very bad and violent and discriminatory, and the people also because of the environment The repression and terror created by the Taliban cannot tell the truth to foreign tourists because they are afraid of the Taliban's punishment and revenge, and the Taliban have committed and continue to commit many crimes, oppression, and discrimination against the Hazara people, such as genocides. killings and usurping the areas and lands of their villages in different provinces and regions of Afghanistan, as well as destroying their houses on various pretexts, such as non-standard or usurped or state ownership of their lands, as well as destroying and destroying the crops and products of the Hazara people by The Pashtun nomads who, with the support of the Taliban, sent their large herds of goats, sheep and camels to the Hazara areas in order to graze and destroy the Hazaras, which is the result of their one-year hard work, under the pretext of grazing their flocks in the mountains and plains, as well as the coercion of the Taliban. A lot of money by Taliban continues from Hazaras under different pretexts, as well as harassing Hazaras under the pretext of having or hiding weapons and taking money and extorting money from them under the same pretext. are doing that it is impossible to really say or write all those atrocities, crimes and discriminations in this ambush and in this short text, and also these oppressions against the Tajik and Wazik ethnic groups continue by the Taliban, who themselves are (99) percent Pashtuns. The end with a smaller scale is milder and the oppression and discrimination against the Hazaras is more severe because they are not only ethnically but also religiously different from the Taliban and follow the Shiite religion.
