Smashed it out of the Adelaide Oval. 100% nailed it.
Churchx50.Hahaha,love this man,well done Jimmy.🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
I was gonna mention the violent turf wars between Adelaide uni and Flinders, but how both of them will unite under one very specific condition: to mock Uni SA
I can't wait until you do Tassie, Jimmy. I'm born and bred Tassie, luckily both my parents were Victorians.
Show us ya map of Tassie and I'll show ya where I live! 🤣🤣🤣
So you’re a TasMANIAC but they’re TasWEGIANS. (I grew up in Tassie.)
@@DarkMatterZine yes a proud Tasmaniac! A good place to grow up.
@@maureenackerley8024 Shut up, Tasmaniac! _(unplugs mic)_
@@maureenackerley8024 I confess I’m a Taswegian: I was born to a Tasmanian parent overseas, lol.
@@DarkMatterZine where overseas?
Am from Adelaide. Can confirm this is 100% spot on.
Haha this is an amazing video, we need more videos on Adelaide and other states like this
I'm from Perth, I'm very excited to hear the next one!😀
Never been to Adelaide or heard of The Mall's Balls so I googled:
"The Spheres (affectionately titled the 'Mall's Balls' by locals) is Rundle Mall's most iconic artwork. Made from a pair of larger-than-life stainless steel spheres sitting one atop the other, the artwork measures just over 4 metres tall! " Yikes! Put's the balls on the Rockhampton Bull to shame (if they haven't been stolen again) 😂
I've lost count of the amount of times the Big Bull became the Big Ox.
Pretty hard to walk past them without giving them a slap, they make a satisfying 'bonggg' sound.
@@Roger__Wilco I thought they might.
They tried to move them once ….. we were all outraged and they put them back 😂
so niche i love it, dont forget rundle street and the fringe!
You forgot the PAAHSTIE! 😂😂
Forgot pie floater and fritz 😂
I moved to Adelaide from Sydney. I love the drive through bottle shop and the fact that no matter what you do, how wealthy or classy you are... you still drink Farmers Union Iced Coffee. I must say it is heaps good though.
There's a new lactose free Farmers Union coming out soon.
( iced coffee ).
@@runnyhunny786 Why?
Lol, yes first Adelaidian I spoke to I thought was from the UK when she said ‘darnce’ in a sentence lol
yeah, my husband is from victoria and I have been correcting his pronounciation for decades.. Not getting anywhere though. I keep saying "its the Queens english" and he looks at me as is I am completely crazy
@@debbieg9061 I had never noticed people from different states here in Aus had a slightly different accent and some different terminology. It’s all good. When friends moved to Queensland she was using words that were different here, I said, what are you talking about lol. A school bag is a port up there, our potato cakes she then call scallops etc lol. Yup, different states even slightly different accents and words. Who da thunked that ? 😂😂
So true about the drivers! And the rest!
P.S. Farmers Union Iced Coffee is the shiz
This is 100% spot on. Lolll
Upside of having family who grew up in SA- I can interpret without the subtitles
😂😂😂😂
"realise it's actually the river Torrens"
....
....
or some barrels.
Hilarious! I only visited Adelaide once for 3 days...it reminded me very much of Perth W.A. ..can't wait till you do W.A & Jimmy hope you have a great time in Perth. I reckon McGowan knows your coming ( the same weekend Albo is here) for your shows this Sun & Mon and he dropped many of the restrictions today just for you, so that you portray him in a good way!
When you said ,"CHURCH"! Its billions in there, I'm dead laughing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
You forgot the hilltop hoods.
Bahahhahha yes I always get asked where I’m from with my “accent” as I live in Melbourne now. And you got Adelaide 100% spot on 😅 but must admit I do have digs at Melbourne for stealing the Grand Prix...thanks Geoff!!
@BELZY02 Belinda H The "accent" is SO interesting. That we can still detect it, despite Australia being far more mobile and less parochial these days. Even your Ch7 Newsreaders are different (love them btw, far less performance). Do you think SA received more English or UK migrants than any other state ?? Some similarities to a Kiwi accent for me, not sure why.
@@comealongcomealong4480 hmmm something like that I think you’re right, and funny you mention NZ Im often asked if I’m a kiwi too 😆
@@comealongcomealong4480 i'm from SA and when I worked in Sydney they all thought I was from NZ
Loving this series! Here's a few ideas for Perth if you want. an inability to correctly merge, using the term 'hell' a lot (eg hell good) or the term hair lacky (so weird), really high kms on your car, confusion on how to pronounce the word quay, eating at Eamon Sullivans restaurant, girls go CUBing (clubbing with the intent to find a cashed up bogan), the only qantas lounge filled with people in high vis, and quokka selfies 😉
I used to live in a little town called Frances right on the south aussie border to victoria, and yet i stlill have a moderate to high hate of victorians, even though nearly half the town is in victoria. as an adelaidean, i can confirm you are correct
I used to live in Adelaide. Hubby and I agree that you nailed it.
Jimmy you brighten my day!
"the inability to get dinner after 8:30pm" is so fuckin' true and I hate it.
Moved to Adelaide 12years ago... Yup this is accurate! And even though I resisted the Heaps Good for the first few years, it now slips out now and then... 😂😳🤣
Another good one from the past - building an expressway & then realizing a few years later it might be a good idea to modify it so it became Two-Way!!!!😂⬆⬇🚘👍😂😂😂
Short video! Just like Adelaide! Scaryingly funny! And true!
I am in Adelaide from Melbourne for work, first time. I've experienced most of what said I. This video so far but lost it at "inability to get dinner past 830PM"
Mate, you need to check out "cafe de Villis" on South road, you can get a schnitty and chips 24/7 or a world famous Villis pie!
My cousin's from Adelaide and he always says "heaps good", without ever noticing.
This series is getting better and better! 😂😂😂
I haven’t lived in Adelaide since 1999. How is so much of this still true? 😂
all of it really, the only thing thats changed is that the suburbs have spread out a bit further north and south!!!
Well, you know our greatest ambassadors, the Hilltop Hoods, wrote a song about us and entitled it 1955… so not much has changed! (It’s ok though, we kinda like it this way)
It will always and forever be true
all of it. come here if you want great food, wine, entertainment and there are jobs. Housing is more affordable than some states. he was not joking with most of it. Its true.
About 10%.....the rest are lazy, tired stereotypes that haven't been relevant for 30 years.....
Not the big bird suit!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been living in Adelaide for over 15 years now ( originally from Queensland )
This was hilarious , so on point .
And I absolutely HATE the Crows/ Port debacle and the phrase “ Heaps Good”! It had to be a 99% bogan who came up with that one ☝️
By the way , honourable mention to the iconic Golden North , which is SA born and bred , palm oil and gluten free 😊
Those Heaps Good T-shirts with an SA outline have a lot to answer for.
😄
Lol! Dinner after 830! So true, last time we went, literally struggled to find some place to eat after 9pm.
hopefully things improved since.. if not uber eats or skycity
@@debbieg9061 It's not improved much. Maccas, Hungrys or KFC is about all you will get after 8:30pm. Where I live 8:30pm closures occur in the summer months and it's 7:30pm during winter lol.
