- This is part 3 in my C-log journey with my Canon EOS R5. This time I'm going through my experience both shooting and editing with the X-Rite Colorchecker Passport, and how it helps me achieve perfect color in my vidoes! To test it out, I went to Sunday in Brooklyn to see how they make their brand new Sweet and Sour Fried Chicken Sandwich!

Quick tip: the big grey card is most useful to setup the camera, for post it's a bit easier to just work with the grids. Also very important to make sure you get absolute values for the post, make sure you don't get any reflections from your key light(s) on the charts, to avoid reflections on the glossy deep black swatches!

Nice! You still shooting in 4KHQ exclusively? If yes, how is the heat management? Did the latest firmware help?
yup! No over heating issues! The new firmware def helped, especially with the recovery time. Im careful if i know im filming alot, maybe shutting it off asap when i cut camera, open the card door to help a little bit. But it hasnt effected any actual filming
I also really struggled getting clog looking right on my R5. My GH5 is super easy with Panasonic supplied LUT. Thanks for showing the process.
When i get it right, it looks fantastic, but its going to take a lot more practice for me to feel 100% comfortable
