Love this series! Would love to hear about the distance range or something to that nature. Would be cool to see Brody, Trevor and a newer player throw them to see what they do at each level.
Appreciate what you guys are doing with this channel, but it would be nice to see a little more depth to your review. I would like to see you throwing comparable discs so we can see how it sits against others that are more common. Would also like to see the disc thrown by a variety of people so we can see our own flights based on skill. It would help set this channel apart from all other reviews.
Alot of people love the a3, but the a2 is the beefiest approach disc out in my opinion. I’ve thrown several, and no matter what I’d is consistently more overstable than any zone or anything else I’ve thrown
@@LordoftheEagles I have a Stego and I think it's more accurate to call it a very overstable putter than a midrange. I wouldn't dream of using it at greater distances because it's anti-aerodynamic and fights so hard to get to the ground, but I think it's an option to use more as an approach disc, to get around some corners, dump hard at the end, and stay put.
This was an awesome and helpful review! I would love to see you guys track the flight with a circle or an arrow so it doesn’t get lost in the sky (the white disc did not stand out in the clouds!). It doesn’t have to be a follow flight or anything but just something to help us track it in the sky! Keep up the great work!
I would like to see that comparison myself I’ve been thrown in Pig for a while and I’m looking for something a little more stable because mines getting broken in
I love these, and throw both the proto and first run. I wish they would make a lucid-x run of them though. They beat in fast, and lucid-x would hold its intended flight longer.
looks exactly like my neutron entropy flight would like to feel the thumb track on this disc might be a replacement if it had better feel for my forehand.
#suggestion - The Boss distance drive Just pick the weight that’s most comfortable and test it for me. I love em but I wanna know how stable or over stable they are.
You guys please try the Prodiscus Premium Troija. That thing is os af. Ffs it is barely throwable but since it is a slower disc it definately has its uses.
I couldn't get past the cheap feel of the disc to buy one and try. I like thumb tracs but these felt like a nova or atlas and I didn't care to throw it based off that.
The A1 is more stable and also has a more aggressive fade. This new Slammer is more comparable to an A2. I'd say my A1 is like a slow Tilt by Discmania.
This one and the ones I've seen Ricky throw are very overstable. I got one recently with a purple rim that is stable, but not nearly as much as this. It flies a lot like my Zone. Its also very soft plastic, so its not great in areas like mine with a lot of rocks and hard dirt. It dings up fast.
Crazy that I’ve thrown a slammer for years and everyone used to make fun of me “JuSt gEt A PiG”. Now Ricky throws his name on one now everyone wants it. people are a joke
Yepp. I had one until I beat it in too much and was gifted a zone and wasn't wanting to buy any new discs, got so much shit from people and now the same ones have it. Fanboys gonna fanboy
@@martinboyzdad the disc golf community is low key a joke lol. It’s sad to see. It’s just plastic who gives a damn lol 🤷♂️. A beat up one sounds pretty nice though 🤔
It is not only in disc golf. Popular people in social media have a massive impact on what clothes or something else sells. They are not being paid millions for nothing. The same goes for Ricky, Paul, Eagle and few others. They get paid because people buys discs that they advertise. I don't remember, but might have done that when I was a lot younger, but I stopped doing that a long time ago. I have never been "idolizing" person, but I know many that are. They dump the whole bag and buy new discs if their idol changes a sponsor. By the way, this Ricky's Slammer is not the same Slammer that you have thrown. This is more overstable version of it. I have discs in my bag that most recreational players have never heard of. But people who buys their idols' discs pays their salaries and it helps to grow the sport. Whether that is a good thing or not is another story. It has pros and cons.
@@kimmomatikainen1843 I know they differ and theret just tickles me the wrong way how people I was regularly taking money from on the course always talked shit about a disc I used and now they have all done a bag dump and throw Ricky or Simon/Eagle everything without any change in their game, continued to take their money with that free Zone too. It's just senselessly throwing money away because they have been tricked into a signature disc will make them better without actually putting in the work to get better. I could take a pile of old beaters my 5 and 3 year old are learning to play with and beat them

Good idea, but I don't believe that Brodie could throw them on camera because of his Discraft contract
Such a tool in my bag. Super reliable flight every time. Going to definitely pick up a spare because someone else needed mine 😉

Good constuctive advice, I agree with you :)
The review were they had Brodie throwing raptors compared to how the “average “ person throws it was really informative . Good advice Brotha !
What he said^^^
I think these reviews are fine. Short and to the point, not 45 minutes of 3 people throwing 4 or 5 similar discs.
Yeah I would like to see Brodie Trevor, hunter and maybe and sylas to throw the disc to see how it compares
Alot of people love the a3, but the a2 is the beefiest approach disc out in my opinion. I’ve thrown several, and no matter what I’d is consistently more overstable than any zone or anything else I’ve thrown
Ive got some Baobabs coming in think theyre comparable to all these
But have you tried a stego
@@justwondering1926 I have not. I mean drew gibson can only throw it like 100ft so Ill save my money

The a2 and a1 are definitely more overstable, it would be cool to see a video on those
A1 or the stego are definitely the most stable approach discs
I would love to see you guys try out Viking Discs. The Loki is very similar to this category of 4 speed overstable discs and I use it constantly lol
I feel like it's a missed opportunity to not compare it with a Pig. I mean, Ricky probably won't/can't do it himself.
ua-cam.com/video/oJm-wH-38lQ/v-deo.html
That's a slammer/pig comparison
I would like to see that comparison myself I’ve been thrown in Pig for a while and I’m looking for something a little more stable because mines getting broken in

How did you feel about the glide/air-time? One thing Ricky mentioned is that it goes X feet and hits the ground. How did you feel about that?
Isn't that every disc ever?
How is the flight compared to the mutant?
How exactly would this co pare to the razor claw 2? I feel like this would be more overstable but would be interesting to see.
Thanks for the review. Would you say it’s more overstable than the AGL baobab?
Absolutely not
No the baobab is like a TILT, same disc as the stego essntially, made in the same factory
looks exactly like my neutron entropy flight would like to feel the thumb track on this disc might be a replacement if it had better feel for my forehand.

What time is this thing dropping today, or is it tomorrow.

It is the Tilt of midranges. The Mutant has nothing on it. The Justice has nothing on it. It is unreal how OS it is
Try a metor plastic wild discs Angler! More overstable than that for sure
How far are you throwing these bud? I need a slower disc than a Harp or Justice for short (100-150) foot upshots
Flight looks just like the jarn. Might have to check one out.
Razor claw vs the Slammer?
Hey, foundation nation here, not much. just sitting here with my morning coffee.
Look at that man bear sockipig slammer!
kastaplast jarn is quite stable, you guys said you'd be doing more kasta :)
So kinda like the toro but with a thumb track
*Baobab has entered the chat*
I couldn't get past the cheap feel of the disc to buy one and try. I like thumb tracs but these felt like a nova or atlas and I didn't care to throw it based off that.
Gonna be reviewing the culprit too hopefully?
How would you compare it to the prodigy A1? That joker has never seen an anhyzer.

@@JamesNot007 Thanks! I bag the A1 and A2 so that's a good comparison for me to understand.
Try the AGL Baobab. Total beef cake

Not sure what happened there but my keyboard seizured and left out a part at the beginning
A more stable Harp? So are y’all saying it’s a straighter Harp? Or a more OVERstable Harp?
It's about as stable as the A2 from Prodigy.
Yea how has Trevor not thrown an A2.
30 degree hyzer =/= vertical
You clearly haven’t thrown an AGL Baobab if you think that this is super stable.
I don’t understand why Ricky uses this as an alternative to his pigs, it’s nothing like a pig…
173g lucid justice
This disc making you a chump
Very overstable...you mean STUPID overstable. Also I got one and it says 175 on the back but weighs 173 so don't believe what the printed weights say.
Disc is trash sorry
