Cool to see you crushing the A2. When I switched over to prodigy, I immediately fell in love, it's a point and shoot disc. Underrated for sure in the overstable approach convo.

The A2 is like the firebird of approach discs. Super great feel, super overstable. Really consistent. Great speed control. It’s not as fast as a mid and not as slow as a putter even like a harp. Digs well. And then you can get it in 300 (base) plastic and it is similar but not as beefy and sticks better. And then they have the pa1 in 400 which is great for the slower overstable putter upshots (I use the pa3 in 400 and it flies the same but feels better to me because I putt with it.) Also, between the zone, harp, and tactic, they are similar but their wing shape is all pretty different. It’s interesting and i’m glad there is variety
I use a Star or Pro Shark both ~175 grams for my main approach disc as well as for driving putter and windy day putter, a #2 Upshot in Prostyle from Lighting for the slightly US approach shot, currently from 2005 a 166 gram one only but have a fairly new from 2020 175 gram for the neutral shot slot the Pro Shark currently has. When the Pro Shark ends up US, I will get the max weight #2 Upshot in prostyle a go for my neutral slot, the disc is due to weight and use that next tick more neutral then the older disc due to both weight and use.

I love my pig more than any approach disc. It grab the grass and dirt better than the rest! I do find myself throwing my zone off the tee more often, though. Speaking about zones, I like that yellow 5x claw you got! Super nice!
Great vid. Results seemed right on with what I've tried and experienced with those discs. It makes sense to use the most popular discs; however, I'd take a Tomb, Rhyno, Chief, or Spider over the Zone any day. Perhaps the A2 needs more consideration.
This is sick thanks. Personally I'm obsessed with avair X3 have three in the bag. I tease my friends and tell them they have this new innovative technology from Innova "basket hunting" patent pending cause Everytime I throw an avair 3 even if it's a bad release it finds a way to give me a put lmao
Great vid. Personally I use A2, Justice and Jokeri and on my seriously handicapped forehand Justice has best flutter resistance where even though A2 is more over stable when release and spin are good it may be disappointing at times when throwing headwind with less that premium forehand. I would appreciate video with tips on how to throw different angles with forehand and preserve spin on the disc and good release. For me hyzer release is mostly good but flat or anhyzer flutters like crazy which makes discs fall out of the sky and even more so when trying to get some torque to get distance.
The Wysocki Pig (if you can get it) is a flatter top Pig. Much better for forehand throws, but difficult to get. I'm primarily RHFH and just cannot throw the R-Pro Pig very well, but the Wysocki Pig is great...just difficult to find, so I've gone to the DGA Breaker for that spot in my bag.
I've been using the aviarX3 for a while. I have one in Star and one in Luster. The luster is very similar to the zone, just doesn't go as far (one less speed and glide), but the star is straight but can only handle so much power. After this video I compared aviarX3 and zone and I immediately bought a z zone and a rubber blend zone. Thanks man!

Any opinion on what the best plastic is? I was thinking of getting an esp, beats in grippy and is somewhat middle of the way in terms of stability from what I've seen.
Thanks, I'm glad it's useful! Zone is great, I have two, both in Z plastic. I haven't really tried esp but I know people like it. Probably can't go wrong with any plastic
Would love to see a similar video for Overstable drivers! Theyre all so similar (like these slower approach discs) but the feel, torque resistance, and overstability would be great to have reviewed all together like this.
As someone who throws the same zone you should try a Dynamic Disc Justice if you’re looking for an overstable mid. I have a 750 A2 as well and the Justice is the most fun disc I’ve thrown in a while. The flex lines you can throw with that thing are obscene. I like it too because I can throw it in a lighter weight and still get the overstable finish I want without putting as much strain on my arm (I throw it in 167 and it’s still straight beef).
I bag both an aviarx3 and a razor caw tactic. I love the aviarx3 more for backhand. It's too deep for me for forehands, that's why I have the tactic. But for backhand approaches I actually really like the deeper rim. I seem to get a bit cleaner release with the x3 than the tactic when throwing backhand.
Enjoyed the video. I have a power forehand, 350+, but I tend to turn my wrist over and and experience shoulder and elbow pain when throwing a lot of them. Video on how to correctly throw a power forehand?
Maybe at some point, although there are other pros to look at that I would recommend for a good forehand over myself. Jeremy Koling and Eagle McMahon come to mind. Eagle has a really good video about forehand
Great video, but I’ve noticed that glide is also different between dinner of these discs. Maybe consider comparing that, as well as how they come out of a flex line for upshots. I cycle between a Zone and a Pig now, and I used to throw a Harp, and they do have subtle differences. The Pig also seems to sit better for me on the ground, whereas the Zone gives more skip, but that’s probably due to the plastic
If we're already subscribed and like your videos, what's the next best way to support you on tour? Big fan of your game and and your content. Keep up the hard work!

Nailed it with this one. I recently switched to the A2 from the zone, just cause I can get the A2 a little cheaper(broke life) and the adjustment wasn’t too hard but the A2 is really overstable.
I bag an A2 for normal approaches, if you really want to see overstable try the A1. It's like a Firebird in a 4 speed disc and I find uses all over the place for it
I bag his zone for straight to fade forehand shots and an A2 for flex shots. There is no better flex forehand disc than a 750 A2 imo. Release it on Anny and it will come back every time. Such a pretty flight from an extremely unique disc.
I use the star plastic for the aviar x3. It’s not really something I use for my forehand basically because of the feel of the disc in the hand. However, in my opinion the disc is great for accurate backhands, and it will hold the line and angle you release on with a late overstable finish.
@@EzraAderholdDG something great about disc golf is that there are so many different discs and approaches you can take to get the shot you really want. I play an all kasta bag except for the berg. Berg is like throwing a Grip AX4 full of discs at the basket imo! Its perfect for laying up from 35 feet!!!!
@@Speedeefeet I love it FH. BERG changed my life, I even use it for shorter drives, I can even go max power with the K1 plastic BERG without it turning over. My PB FH is 118 meters with a Kastaplast RASK 14 / 3 / 0 / 4
I love the A2. It's a great Zone clone without hurting your wallet as much. In 400 plastic they're more similar to a Zone. Flat ones are usually more OS than domey ones.
Try a Kea in Magma hard plastic for forehand. Atomic or cosmic for your backhands. Driver wise check out our Kotare, You will crush it. OTB should have some.

*between many of these discs
Fluid slammer! (nissan stadium event disc)
I'd love to see what Big Jerm thinks about this. He has a hard on for the AviarX3
He makes it work for sure! He's better than me lol
Let's go SPIN SOME DISCS. Love it. Print it. Run it.
🤣🤣
If we're already subscribed and like your videos, what's the next best way to support you on tour? Big fan of your game and and your content. Keep up the hard work!
Thanks for subbing! That's about it for now, hopefully when I get sponsored I can get a signature disc, that will be a good way then👍. Thanks for wanting to support me😁
@@EzraAderholdDG I'm sure it's only a matter of time before a sponsorship if you keep playing and growing like you are.
Hit me up if you're ever playing in Southern Oregon and I'll buy you a solid breakfast or a bag of beans 😂
@@christianmengel8354 hopefully man! Awesome, beans sounds great😂
Great video Ezra! Have you ever thrown a DD justice and if so how does it compare?
I can't quite remember if I've thrown a Justice or an Anvil
AviarX3 is a great backhand disc!
Great content, I would've enjoyed seeing the Justice instead of the Aviar X3 though. Thank you for the video :-)
Thanks! The Justice is great! I would say it's the most similar to the A2
Thanks! The Justice is great! I would say it's the most similar to the A2
i dont like how the pig feels but i have thrown it and it flew very nicely
The Zone was one of the most slept on discs until big name players started throwing them... I'm surprised the drone hasn't blew up as well.
I'm not a fan of the AviarX3 at all either, but Jerm makes that disc look absolutely $$$. Crazy haha
Sounds weird but Prodigy m1 is my go to, great hyzer spike approaches
Keep on spinning these videos
You are SO biased against that Aviar, which is actually refreshing considering how many people love it, it's nice to see someone who doesn't.
Honestly, just from our POV you threw the Pig the cleanest!!
The pig was decent, a bit more flutter than the zone, harp, and A2 for sure tho. Maybe the camera didn't do it justice🤷♂️
Ezra Aderhold yeah, the camera angle must have hidden the flutter. You parked that shot either way. Keep it up man!
@@RCSxMaverick right. That's the goal haha! Thanks!
I’m with you, I can’t stand the aviar x3. That vtech rim is the worst. I’m a big fan of the harp
Ok cool, yeah I didn't really try it back hand but it could definitely be good
@@EzraAderholdDG something great about disc golf is that there are so many different discs and approaches you can take to get the shot you really want.
It also takes so much time to learn all of the different aspects of the game, and I appreciate videos like yours because they help me learn so much that I wouldn’t know about the sport on my own. Keep it up! 👍
@@colemartin7320 definitely!! There is so much variety and creativity that sets it apart from other sports. I'm glad you like the videos!!
Try prodiscus jokeri my man!
You should try out an a4 in 750 the flatter the better. It's a really under rated disc imo!
Ok nice! I maybe will!
Dude.. u are Missing a great disc. Kastaplast BERG.
IDK if its a forehand approach disc per say, but I love the disc so much for backhand approaches and even putting.
I've tried to use a Berg for forehand approaches and it's just not the disc for forehand. Backhand is money all day
@@adamkinzinger2247 It's definitely the right disk for forehand I use it all the time and it works great.
I've found the domey A2's are way overstable
Yeah I really liked it and might even stick it in the bag!
A2 is definitely money 🔥
What i have seen that if person has only one Prodigy disc it for sure is A2.
How about the Innova Rat? I love it for flick approach!
Never tried one🤷♂️
I would have loved to see this done all in premium plastics
Try a Kea in Magma hard plastic for forehand. Atomic or cosmic for your backhands. Driver wise check out our Kotare, You will crush it. OTB should have some.
RPM Discs 👍🏼
Cool!! Thanks for the recommendation
I’d watch this man throw every disc in the warehouse
Haha that sounds tiring
That Zone is beautiful! If you ever get sick of it send it my way and It’ll live out a good life of hitting trees & bogeys! 😂
Haha sounds good!
Axiom envy needs to be on here!!!
