yep and you pretty have to buy Most wanted to get a Z-95 or a rebel Z-95 proxy. They could have trimmed some plastic of the party bus to make a z-95 the things so big it never stays on a full game you have to take it off its base;

Really appreciate how you focus on both the fun and competitive factor. So many guides focus strictly on competitive so it’s nice to have a different look at all the ships.
I got into X-Wing a month ago and already have a Scum fleet of 11 ships and the Hound's Tooth was the first ship I bought. It reminds me of a block of flats (apartment block) with a couple of clunky wings at the back. In the games I've played with it my opponents have always tried their hardest to avoid it. It has the intimidation factor!
Hey. Think it would be awesome for you to update these what to buy videos for 2.0. I know you did a small one including the core, but think you could expand on lists etc.. for new players would be cool.

We also appreciate your advice on flying what is fun for you, which is why we want to get Vader and the Tie Advanced next even though it is not quite the best, especially without the Raider upgrades. I appreciate your videos. My 14 year old and I just got into X Wing last summer. I wish they would give you the option of buying new, updated cards. We ignore all the errata right now because we are too new to try to figure it all out and just play for fun.
I had similar thoughts, as I also recently began playing with my son. What we moved to is to not play with the cards, just play with the printoff from the squad builder we use (xwing-builder.co.uk). It has the benefit of having all the updated errata wording, and a bigger benefit to us is quicker setup. Just one sheet vs searching for a bunch of cards. The site even has a printoff option where it looks like images of the cards, it you still want to card feel and artwork.
Glad to hear you are enjoying the game! Ignoring the Errata is fine for now, but before you decide to go to tournaments you'll want to brush up on it all! Play together! Great bonding experience!
Right now it's one of my favorite ships to fly (next to the Protectorate). I never thought I would fly Prince Xizor, but I've been loving him with Push the Limit, both titles, Autothrusters, and avanced sensors.Extremely agile, almost impossible to predict, and decent PS of 7. If you're willing to spend even more points on him, Advanced Proton Torpedoes + Glitterstim is a brutal close range combo. :) I like to fly him alongside Kath Scarlet with Expertise, HLC, Engine upgrade, and "Gonk" to regen from Xizor's ability.
The last tournament I went to only had 1 bomb in all 16 players. Which was a seismic charge on a Decimator. There was also a kylo's shuttle that had daredevil and engine upgrade that did very well.

It was really helpful, I'm just coming back to the hobby after a few years and wanted to play scum, I just really needed a current perspective as I haven't played since the B-wing was new. I'm really looking forward to all the new ships and crazy tactics I can try.
Scum is currently my favorite faction because starvipers with their new title are my favorite thing to fly. I like Guri with Intesity, both titles Adv sensors and Pulse ray shield. Shes such a fun ship to play with and im flying her alongside Talonbane and the Kimogila so the people I have played kinda ignore her and focus on the bigger guys which lets her get behind them. Then she just dances around their arcs whenever they try to turn around to get her.
I love running 4 heavy sycks with mangler cannons. Glass cannons for sure but when it works boy does it work. Taking big ships off the board in two turns is great haha
I'm primarily a Rebel player with just enough Imperial to be able to set up an acceptable list with a few options. I'm thinking about getting at least Most Wanted (since I already have an HWK and a Firespray) and maybe Guns for Hire. that is a lot of ships and options for a very reasonable price. The only thing holding me back from Guns for Hire is maybe wanting to get the Tie Silencer to make my imperials way more robust. Darn gaming on a budget, lol.
I totally agree with the fun factor part. I generally play First Order but I am anxious to try out scum and intend to get Hounds tooth and punishing one for the sake of how cool they are

That's just tragic! I oddly enough did the same thing with all my MtG cards when I moved to a new state at the beginning of the year. I hadn't played it in years, but it still hurt.
the trick to the C-ROC is to fly more than one. you can field a decently loaded C-ROC for only 50 points, and a fully loaded one for about 60 points. a guy pulled out his Raider, fully loaded it up, with a Gozanti, and a few fighters to challenge me in an epic against my new Scum C-ROC. I fielded 3 C-ROC's and a Z-95 bug zapper swarm. I used my C-ROC's as battering rams against his fighters, while blasting his Gazonti with 3 heavy laser turrets, and battered his Raider with 8 concussion missiles from my Zappers, followed up with a zap or few. he got ATE UP. yes, it was a money investment to be sure. but it was a pretty sweet victory that shocked everyone. I have a dream of fielding 6 C-ROC's at once in a game. why? because in a 300 point Epic, you CAN. :) I think that is the problem with a Corvette class ship. it's 100 points just to put it in play, then another 50 points to outfit it. it's half your points, and it can become disabled in one GOOD HARD CONCENTRATED frontal assault, before it even gets to shoot. M3-A's are deceptively strong when you formation swarm with them with mangler cannons and concentrated fire. still have ZERO use for a Star Viper. if the title card wasent unique, and you could equip ALL of your Star Vipers with them, it would be a different story. they are just to crunchy. I can't say enough about how shiny the H6 bomber is. such an all around great ship. bombs, turret, a decent main gun, a decent dial, good action and upgrade bars, and lots of hull&shields. costly when fully loaded, but well worth it. extra munitions with proton bombs and trajectory simulator has been utterly devastating, especially when ships are clustered close enough to hit 2 or more with the bomb. love my Brobots. I myself have done the "field all four" in epic play. that "S loop" is amazing with that ship. and the ships stats, dial, upgrade&action bars make this one of the most versatile ships in the game. I hate jumpmasters. why? because they just plain suck, always have. I don't care what the Meta says. decent flying and sound combat tactics can destroy Dengaroo. firespray, firespray, firespray..... *sigh* :/ Boba sucks, Kath isent really any better. BUT, Emon, EMON has some serious potential with those bombs. cluster mines are amazing with Cad Bane forcing rerolls. pair him with an H6 Nym or a Y-wing Kavil with an autoblaster turret and it can be surprisingly effective. I love that my Scum is finally a true force to be reckoned with.
I have everything except the C roc , Kimogila, and Guns for Hire after hearing all of this im going to have to get these to the C roc i wasnt going to get but the M31A is one of my favorite ships to run along with the starprotectorate , or now with the guns for hire i will use the kirax thanks for the info keep up the good work and fly casual.
The sequel trilogy hasn't given us much in the way of new material for scum. Do you think we're likely to get more in episode IX? I bet Solo will bring in some new ships for scum, but mostly I feel like scum is missing out on a good platform for all of the new tech upgrades.

I saw a guy here who didn't know about the errata to the jumpmaster who was new to the game bought it to fly next to Boba then plays his first tourny finds out half his build is invalid and quit playing the game on the spot, he literally broke the ship in two and tossed it all in the trash.
Good list. There's a fine line between enjoyment and losing a lot especially in this game lol It's kind of bizarre they made Dengar's ship unintentionally meta badass to the point it's been Nerf'd so much and so heavily. either FFG never saw that coming or it was a giant trolling easter egg for players to figure out how to win win win with it before FFG had to pull the rug out from under them ; and it's not even a movie canon ship. the game should have been called Dengaroo instead of X-wing. can you name another game that has happened in? So FFG never reprinted cards have they? so for tourney's you have to print out a proxy from the FFG FAQ pdf is that correct? MTFBWY

I have taken a break from xwing for about a year or two, and I really am nervous about getting back into it if the pilot skill is removed to just resorting to guaranteed damage mechanics. I liked the game a lot when it relied more on maneuvering and shooting. I also think the turrets should all work like the ship that has to manually turn it's gun.
I have been using the Mist Hunter affectively with Zuckuss his ability is very good verses Rebles. Zuckuss with veteran instincts ,outlaw tech, mist hunter and tractor beam and FCS with. Capt. Nym or Talonbane with Veteran inst. kavil with TLT and veteran instincts or torani kulda with veteran instinct. with these ships I most likely will shoot first because my pilot skill will be 11/10 /9 no lower than 8 and with Fire control system on the mist hunter will make for some awesome squads
Firespray class ship. Also, he did say at the beginning that if you have the Firespray ship, it can be used as Scum. I can see why he didn't sat anything, but you're right. If he is gonna put something here he has done before(The Skurag Bomber that was in the Rebels Faction), then one should put a ship like the Firespray in this video.
Protectorate fighter is "middle of the road" !? Wow... Fenn Rau is the single best pilot available to the Scum player, hands down. At his PS, with a Push The Limit and the ability to boost AND barrel roll, there's no excuse in getting him bombed. Rolling 5 red dice at will and making maneuvers that would embarass even Soontir Fel is OBSCENE.
Last one should be jumpmaster, thanks to FFG abandoning their buisness model in favor of MLG style professional competitive play (blech) that expansion has became a Noob Trap with half of the cards unable to be equipped to the model.

btw... people need to stop hating on bombs. please understand that there are people out there who can't roll dice to save their lives. I am one of them. and when you can't roll a single evade in an entire game, when you are rolling 3 or more dice every time, it just sucks. I have to fly better than my opponent, and waste points on upgrades like Accuracy Correctors. I have to use Concussion Missiles with Guidance Chips to get any damage through. I am having to use range 1 autoblaster cannons and turrets. and of course, bombs. all of this to just plink away a damage or two, while I am HAMMERED with 3-4 damage every time I am shot at. people were designing their fleets with my bad dice rolls in mind!!! everyone had a big smile on their face, and bragged about how GREAT their "game" was while beating the crap out of people like me. now you all whine like spoiled crybabies because people like me have a way to FINALLY compete with you. deal with it. I have had to deal with dice for YEARS.

New player, I love playing with 2 starvipers because of their banked barrel rolls.
That does certainly make them less predictable than other ships! They are so much more fun now compared to how they used to be!

Why didn't you have Boba Fett's ship in your list? (I don't know the technical name of that ship)
