Word "old" should not be used as a negative critique! Yes we are old fucks compared to new generation of kids, but you forgot that the word "old" is an equiualent to word "experienced". You have more wisdom, be proud on that.
Newer generations will also grow older and so will those who follow. Even trends and values will. At least we grew up with some of the latter two still around to experience and bring along as memories.
SIDNIFY, you crazy bastard. Not only you took one my favorite JJ2 soundtracks to remix, but you also took the weakest part of the original song (imho) and turned it into powerful sequence and you made me love this remix so much. Bless you and thank you for all that jazz.
I've been listening to this non-stop, probably my favorite of the tribute album. Labratory in general was my favorite track of the game and this made it better.
I had never heard of Jazz Jackrabbit before; I stumbled upon this track in another video and had to look it up. Are you a wizard? Because this is absolute sorcery. Can't stop listening, phenomenal work.
This has made my year. I waited so long for the official soundtrack to be released on Spotify in the UK then it got me searching remixes and I discovered this. So so good. Playing 2 player split screen on the same keyboard, good memories
I’ve listened to the entire amazing soundtrack and this is by far the best track: incredible beat and drum fills, dreamy synth, virtuoso guitar, all giving it an edgy mix while maintaining the original spirit, to sum up: it reminds me of Dream Theatre in their progressive metal phase. Thank you guys for making this masterpiece!
@@zero-ej6rt what experts ? the kind of music in that game is called "mod music". There are similarities with midi, but midi is just the data for the notes to play that is then sent to a music synth of any kind. Mod music comes with the instruments recordings to play. So midi will sound different in function of which synth you used to play it while mod will sound the same on anything.
@@zero-ej6rt Like if windows 10's midi player was the only thing that could play midi -_- For example, play Doom 1 on a computer with a sound card that has a Yamaha OPL3, then hook up a Roland SC55. It'll sound different. Then hook up a Yamaha MU80, it'll sound different again, hook up any kind of midi instrument and IT WILL sound different. The notes will be the same, but the sound they make will be different.
Awesome, pure bliss from a track that I still remember from playing as a child and whose soundtrack likely influenced my musical tastes forever. Thank you.
The 'Labratory Level' is my favorite track from all of the Jazz Jack Rabbit soundtrack (Including this '20th Anniversary' album :)). Stunning, epic remix, SIDNIFY-quality. I love it!
Playing Devil's advocate here: some would say a 1990's 2D platformer with a spunky anthropomorphic protagonist that gained a side kick in the sequel on a quest to save a princess may be taking inspiration from a couple sources that MANY others already pulled from. But i will agree, JJ2 is miles better than anything else Epic ever did and honestly did the 90's trend i mentioned better than almost anyone.
@@irisheagleg_5490 As someone whose only experience with Jazz Jackrabbit is trying it out on Classic Reload about a year ago, it's basically an inferior copy of Duke Nukem 2 spliced with a *very* inferior copy of Sonic the Hedgehog. The music is its only redeeming feature.
@@purplecowadoom I'll have to disagree too. Jazz was much more like a cross between Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man. It was certainly superior to the first Sonic the Hedgehog and JJ2 was a really fun multiplayer with plenty of polish. Best 90s plat-former on the PC, IMO.
God damn. Playing this level because you're stuck using a shareware version of the game and you wanna play with your friend or just fucking about in general. Love this song, keep doing this, I wanna see Tubelectric and that Wonderland song next. You're awesome!
Nice. I'm currently into two channels when it comes to Jazz Jackrabbit music tributes. Sidnify and Allan Zax. I love both equally. And I love the fact that everyone here and there love Jazz Jackrabbit and Alexander Brandon's music! Between Sidnify and Alan Zax I cherry pick my favorites. For example Sidnify in my opinion has the best "Tubelectric" remix and Alan Zax has the best "Laboratory Level" remix. I really can't choose between you guys! You're all awesome with such enthusiasm for this great title!
Very cool remix, it could be very fun to see some kind of crossover with Sonic and re-using the coolest musics from this other game. The original version of this track alone made the demo experience fantastic back in the days, indeed.
I can't believe that I heard of Jazz Jackrabbit way (2019), such good games and the best part, the soundtrack, it's catchy, it's amazing, the compositors are such genius, from the franchises I played like Mario, Sonic, Megaman, Metroid, Bomberman, this one is being a very enjoyable experience even if I was only able to get the second game. SIDNIFY, i'm looking foward for your next remixes, specially if you're going to remix either Jazz Belmont or Jazz be Dawned themes.
Due to soley consuming Sidnify remixes, I am lead to believe that Jazz Jackrabbit ( having never played it ) has the greatest soundtrack ever committed to earshot.
This game deserves a remaster!
Epic has infinity money now from Fortnite so they really ought to.
More like a remake 😁

Its okay! Age doesn't make one a fossil... only rapid burial under extreme pressure. Which may not be any better... :)
You're not a fossil, you're just old enough to have great taste in music.

This comment hits home in ways that most people will never know. You levelled up. It’s time to claim your crown, little fossil.
