Thanks for this video. After I done the latest Nvidia update I logged into wow and I had 8fps. I know nothing about computers other than turning it on, playing a game then turning it off. With ur help I am back to 60-100fps
just want to add that when i disabled my Vsync the GPU worked alot harder, and my fans was on higher speed. then after i enabled it and using ur settings, the fans are sooo quiet :D Just wanted to add that if anyone else is having trouble with the fan speed/noise. Im on a laptot and extern monitor..
I always disable V-sync and manually put a fps limit using RivaTurner, you'll see less sparks on your framerate and your game will run more smooth. V-sync with triple buffering adds a bit of delay in the game.
Be careful with some of the game settings. every wow expansion likes to feature some must-avoid affects that are basically invisible at very low settings.
Offset undervolt / PBO2 undervolt is more worth in most cases until things possibly changes in the future. Most CPUs are pushed so hard now anyway, that lowering the voltage dynamically usually helps with temps and maintain high boost.
instead of the render scale at 98%, make this macro: /run local o = GetCVarBool("ResampleAlwaysSharpen"); SetCVar("ResampleAlwaysSharpen", not o); print("Sharpening is now " .. (o and "off" or "on")) it will turn sharpening on and off at a higher render scale and output the difference.
this was a good vid. update dropped today and i went from 180 fps on a 2060 super to about 35. This vid got me back up to the same range again. much thanks!

The render scale aloud me to make the game look WAY better with more frames because I could reduce the other settings and not tank the games quality, im using a 1080p 144hz monitor that doesn’t have any of the fancy features. I upscaled almost to the max and got more frames, went from 98-160.
I have the rtx 4080 super and an amd 7950x3d, i tried cranking up everything to max but the framerate is not that good, wow still needs a lot of optimization.

You’re incorrect about gsync window vs full screen. Been talked about for years. When a game is launched that doesn’t have a true full screen it will still be detected as such because it’s a game. On nvidia post and Reddit. Otherwise good video but pretty low settings for a 4090. I have 5120x1440 240hz 49 inch monitor and I can make wow crawl on some settings.
I want my game to look the best it can with the best FPS possible. Right now I have it on 8 or 9 and as long as I’m not in valdrakken or raid I get well over 100 fps with my 2080. It dips to maybe 60-80 in raid or valdrakken
As of 10.2 render scale is bugged in DF if you set it to 98% you get -70 fps compared to prev patches, do not do what this video says on the render scale, its outdated.
What is that program you are using to check updates on your amd cpu? I have a 3900x CPU and a 3080ti plus 4 16gig Dominator Platinum and only get like 25-30 fps idk why
yo today i played dragonflight all day no issue i closed the game took a break came back start game again and saw my gpu at 40 42 c 45 c ramping super fast for no reason when i normaly play the game at 38-40c , i was seing the gpu voltage going up for no reason at all the gpu usage was at 10 % . nothing in the background i was like wtf why voltage goes to 1v 83 wats no reason . so i restart game and fixed the issue any idéa where that bug come from ?

The thing is that I have mbp 14 M1 Pro 512/16, before the release of the war within prepatch on general settings-4 everything was 120-190 fps, but now they added some advanced graphics settings, and apparently broke something. The temperature of the components was 75-80 before, and now up to 95! And fps drops to 30-40! Do you think certain settings will help or will they fix it themselves?

OFC, change that cpu to 5800x3d, and your fps will be double than now. i did that with 6800xt and for example in valdrakken i had 40 fps drops now now 80+ always on max settings.

this guide is more "how to make your game look not as good" where do people come up with this stuff. I can increase my FPS all day by turning off a ton of in-game features too! But these are by far not the "best PC settings"

the thing is, if u put all on max even with 4090 sometimes there are fps drops where we dont want..

You will see better input lag reduction by capping framerate if your gpu is maxed out than using the low latency modes. It's mostly placebo effect.

went into the raid, running a 280ti and a i9 and i dropped to 25fps xD. did your tweaks and running now 90ish fps on full grps in raid

i have a 4080 suprim x i9-13900k 64gb ddr5 2 tb 980 pro etc and gives me 80 fps just like alot of players... i doubt this is in our end in wow

go for 1440p not much fps difference to 1080 but graphics will look like is 4k, becouse 1440p to 4k in wow u cant see the difference at all.

i got the same problem, but when im watching some streamers they got likje 177 fps in raids lol
