First Age Galadriel Now while the city of Gondolin was building in secret, Finrod Felagund wrought in the deep places of Nargothrond; but Galadriel his sister dwelt, as has been told, in Thingol’s realm in Doriath. And at times Melian and Galadriel would speak together of Valinor and the bliss of old; but beyond the dark hour of the death of the Trees Galadriel would not go, but ever fell silent. And on a time Melian said: ‘There is some woe that lies upon you and your kin. That I can see in you, but all else is hidden from me; for by no vision or thought can I perceive anything that passed or passes in the West: a shadow lies over all the land of Aman, and reaches far out over the sea. Why will you not tell me more?’ ‘For that woe is past,’ said Galadriel; ‘and I would take what joy is here left, untroubled by memory. And maybe there is woe enough yet to come, though still hope may seem bright.’ Then Melian looked in her eyes, and said: ‘I believe not that the Noldor came forth as messengers of the Valar, as was said at first: not though they came in the very hour of our need. For they speak never of the Valar, nor have their high lords brought any message to Thingol, whether from Manwë, or Ulmo, or even from Olwë the King’s brother, and his own folk that went over the sea. For what cause, Galadriel, were the high people of the Noldor driven forth as exiles from Aman? Or what evil lies on the sons of Fëanor that they are so haughty and so fell? Do I not strike near the truth?’ ‘Near,’ said Galadriel; ‘save that we were not driven forth, but came of our own will, and against that of the Valar. And through great peril and in despite of the Valar for this purpose we came: to take vengeance upon Morgoth, and regain what he stole.’ Then Galadriel spoke to Melian of the Silmarils, and of the slaying of King Finwë at Formenos; but still she said no word of the Oath, nor of the Kinslaying, nor of the burning of the ships at Losgar. But Melian said: ‘Now much you tell me, and yet more I perceive. The face twitch gets me every time. That got by everyone? The director, the producer, the show runners, the people on doing the editing? They are all like "Oh yeah, that stays in". Wow.
Right here. This scene. This dialog. The face this actress makes and tone she takes to someone who is one of her closest friends, an ally who eventually becomes her son-in-law. Just wow Amazon. I expected dog shit and you still disappointed. Just amazing, awe inspiring really.
Hey, she’s seen a lot. She spent 1000 years looking for Sauron. Granted, she then randomly bumped into him in the middle of the ocean, but ELROND HASN’T SEEN WHAT SHE’S SEEN.
She is talking about her script for the rings of power. She is probably the only soul that has read it, since not even the writers know wtf is happening.
Their ability to miss the point never fails to amaze me. The criticism is not that an Elf cannot do what she does, simply that it is not Galadriels character. Her powers were wisdom, incredible insight and perception to the point of mind reading and foresight, able to read people, making her exceptionally important as a voice and leader. She was able to see through Saurons powerful disguises, and never fully trusted Saruman, seeing his flaws and lust for power, which is why she always preferred the council and friendship of Gandalf. She saw him as the true leader of the Istari wizards which did of course eventually come to be. The issue is that Amazon have utterly failed to see what made Galadriel so interesting, wise and powerful, and instead turned her into some Xena knock off. Tolkien's Galadriel is arguably even more egoistical than this portrayal. In the First and the Second age, she was stubborn and power-hungry, rebelling and saying no to the Valar themselves. Galadriel herself claims that she yearns for power and wants to be mighty and rule for power's sake. Tolkien also describes her fighting fiercely against Fëanor, back when she was still called Nerwen, or "Man-maiden". She was very much a fighter, once. You are biased, because you've only seen a snippet of a matured wise woman in the movies. It took her thousands of years to get there. If Hugo Weaving Elrond says "I have seen my share", you assume he means battles. And he has. When this Elrond says "I have seen my share", you think, "Of what? Micropenises?"
People who have actually seen things, will generally not speak this way, precisely because they have seen what they have seen and know that talk is cheap
The line is perfectly fine by me. It is the delivery that bothers me. She is not saying it like she wants to assert gravity of the situation, she is saying it like she wants to show off and demand respect. And that just misses the mark.
It's funny since Elrond is technically Galadriel's (soon to be) son in law. She acts like an angry mom who's demanding her kid to clean his fucking room. It makes perfect sense if you consider this show a family drama.
@@wzx6x6z6w It makes me cringe that they turned Elrond into a soft, beta looking dude who comes off more emotional than stern and intelligent. Like seriously, this is not Elrond. It would make more sense if he was a completely different character.
Cuz she was writen to show off and boast and bash anyone into submision. The very core of her charater missed the mark. So ofc the lines and even more the way the actors did it comes off as a meme worthy.
People ask: "How could they make this show that bad?" Well, the showrunners are 2 proteges of Jar Jar Abrams & Alex Kurtzman, who´s only big credit on IMDB is that godawful Star Trek: Beyond movie. Allegedly, they worked on a number of episodes of Kurtzman´s Star Trek Discovery & Picard shows, uncredited. I think this explains it pretty much.
Its almost comical how different and, frankly, *inferior* her take on Galadriel is compared to Cate Blanchetts. I can't bring myself to believe that these are supposed to be the same character.
Neither have we. Oh well, we have seen a huge pile of helmets she must have collected and stacked up for days. Elrond should have seen that. He would have been proud.

And some twitches that should not have been forgotten were remembered. The twitch became history, the twitch became legendary. It never became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the twitch passed down in all the memes.
😂😂😂😂
Bravo 😂😂😂
I think she had an itch on her face and couldn't scratch for some reason...yeah that's it
You just have not seen what she has seen
@@javierlopez9789 i have seen my share.
Galadriel: I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time...like tears in rain... Time to die…💀
So we all wonder... what has she seen then? Because she don't have any battle scars all over her face and body if she have seen what she says she has seen. Or maybe she just visited Chicago on a weekend?
Elves heal fast,
@@danielandrews1801 they dont heal all wounds
@@Elmo914 yes. the wounds within dont heal but simple things like scars heal
@@danielandrews1801 While certainly possible, I just don't recall Galadrial being in intense battles in the lore, correct me if I'm wrong.
@@Elmo914 Oh. This isn't based on the lore because they weren't allowed to use that material so IDK if this battle even happened.
She's so courageous and brave to put down any opposition before it can make its case. *Sniff* (wipes a tear) So brave.
She’s right, I’ve not seen Rings of Power. I will never see what she has seen.
Elrond: "I've seen Rings of Power"
Galadriel: 😶
"An arguement's not the same as contradiction!" "It can be."
Even Elrond couldnt raise his voice without offending Giailiadriaieil
Is it bad that I literally only clicked on this video to read the funny meme comments? 😄
Also, beautifully done, video's author: overlaying a high transparency image of The Emperor from Star Wars onto Galadriel at 00:07 😂. So fitting, character-wise, but also so delightful in how subtle-yet-unsubtle the overlay is (you definitely see something there, but have to rewatch to know/confirm what you saw). Kinda reminds me of Fight Club when he splices inappropriate moments into wholesome movies lol (I get the feeling that mighta been your inspiration here 😜)
What is bad is your incorrect use of the word ‘literally’.
Amazon did the impossible. They turned two elves into a fairy and an orc.
Am not!
Are too!
Am not!
Are too!
Basically she did not see anything.
Intersectional Galadriel has about as much personality as a lemon.
Galadriel probably haven't seen what we fans have seen either..
She has seen two girls one cup.
These youngsters have not seen what we've seen.
@@XarkoCZ
You have not seen Googlehammer
If Hugo Weaving Elrond says "I have seen my share", you assume he means battles. And he has.
When this Elrond says "I have seen my share", you think, "Of what? Micropenises?"
Galadriel has not seen a penis in 2000 years.
😂
Cut him some slacks. The guy playing younger Elrond act better than Guyladriel.
hahahaha

What? Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion? Tell me, dammit!
There is a tempest in me. But I took some Gaviscon, all better now.
Love that long pause and blank expression to make his words sound more thoughtful
lol this show is like a treasure of memes that keeps on giving
You have not seen what i have seen
I have seen my fair share
You have not seen what i have seen
I hav..
THERE IS A TEMPEST IN ME
The memes from this show just don't disappoint.
I AM THE TEMPEST THAT IS APPROACHING!
Signs of Narcissism #1: "YOU have not seen, what I HAVE SEEN."
Could've said " you have not seen Sauron " or something along those lines but no..
This was the best they could come up with?
Ole razor lips has seen more than the rest of us.
More people come to see this one meme on youtube than they do for the actual show.
Isn't that the dude who played young Ned Stark?
Galadriel is so cringy
her brother is probably cringing in elf afterlife right now
People who have actually seen things, will generally not speak this way, precisely because they have seen what they have seen and know that talk is cheap
Preach it!
That Elronds face in the end says it all.
Why does the actress who played young Galadriel look like she has a stroke?
Do not forget she's also his future mother-in-law 🤣
Careful there RoP Galadriel, you almost showed more than one facial expression
The line is perfectly fine by me. It is the delivery that bothers me. She is not saying it like she wants to assert gravity of the situation, she is saying it like she wants to show off and demand respect. And that just misses the mark.
The line is not bad in of itself because it's been used in thousands of other shows/movies... to the point of cliche.
Lol she's exhausting to him
Right up there with “I am Good”… inspiring quotes from a brilliant show
Nothing compares to “give me the meat, and give it to me raw”.
Galadriel hasn't seen what we have seen.
"You have not seen what I have seen... and the seen is always right!"
Hahahahah was looking for this thank you truly amazing acting
I, when I looked at the Rings of Power:
"You have not seen, what i have seen."
How dare Elrond even talk back to his mother-in-law.
She's a single lady this time. No daughter
Has Galadriel seen Sauron's ring plan destroyed and ridiculed in the season 2 premier as I have seen?
YOU HAVE NOT
Frankly... Amazon did to LotR what Germany did to Poland in 1939...
People ask: "How could they make this show that bad?"
Well, the showrunners are 2 proteges of Jar Jar Abrams & Alex Kurtzman, who´s only big credit on IMDB is that godawful Star Trek: Beyond movie. Allegedly, they worked on a number of episodes of Kurtzman´s Star Trek Discovery & Picard shows, uncredited.
I think this explains it pretty much.
I'm crying.
Sauron's Eye: I see you.
Guyladriel: You have not seen what I've seen.
The amount of filming and acting that was done here was outstanding! Truly a directed movie with actors!
Joke? It sucked.
When someone asked you "How's the Rings of Powers show?"
They answer with a frightened face: "You have not seen what I have seen."
This is not Galadriel, it's a creation more evil than Morgott, it's called uruk-femi-bitch.
Its almost comical how different and, frankly, *inferior* her take on Galadriel is compared to Cate Blanchetts. I can't bring myself to believe that these are supposed to be the same character.
Elrond has seen more shitty things than Garadriel.
Neither have we. Oh well, we have seen a huge pile of helmets she must have collected and stacked up for days. Elrond should have seen that. He would have been proud.
Galadriel: You have not seen what I've seen.
Elrond: I have seen my share.
Galadriel: You have not seen what I've seen.
Elrond: Are you fucking Sauron with that big ass eye??
Its not her fault. She is the one that has to act that ridiculous script.
So much money and they couldnt hire someone that could add a little quality writing.
