You have to remember, sag has rules about supporting strikes and she is involved with a sitcom at present. Whereas Ken isn’t a sag member so can do as he pleases.
Yeah, a picket line crosser. Not a fan.
People keep saying this, but the truth is that SAG specifically has contractual language that forbids striking if the guild itself has not authorized a strike. They’ve been sending out emails reminding members that they MUST continue to work during the WGA strike. So what Mayim is doing here takes real courage.
@@aekelly Nope. Ken is a producer of the show and as such he has to work, just like management when unions strike.
@@aekelly - Unions suck - Union allowed GE to take our jobs away and send work out of country - sooooo - just say no to the unions
@@enbym1793 - not real courage - just real stupid
She just proved that 2 hosts weren't needed. And Ken was the better choice between them.
Jennings isn’t a writer or member of the unions. People should focus on the objects in their own eyes.
That’s fine…she was not my choice to listen to! Happy Ken will be the HOST!
Any reason to get Ken back on, I'll take it😊.
Could not stand watching Jeopardy when she was on, she did not have a presence noteworthy of the show.
Oh big deal. Ken Jennings should be the host. Period.
Hey there! I came across your comment and I just had to reach out and say hi. Your perspective really caught my attention and I would love to get to know you better. Would you be interested in chatting sometime? Looking forward to hearing back from you!

That's what happened, but I like Mayim Bialik in everything I've seen her in, including Jeopardy.
Personally, I think Ken Jennings should be the only one to host Jeopardy, who has a deeper appreciation and respect for the game than Mayim Bialik, who doesn't show interaction with the players as does Ken.
Are we in the same universe Jennings let's his personal comments intrude on the game and I get the feeling he's a bit arrogant at times.I do like him and he should be co- host but not take over all hosting duties he's not good enough to fill Mr. Trebeck's shoes alone.
you can't even spell trebek correctly@@briankomlofske1920
@@briankomlofske1920 I agree. I stopped watching after Jennings took over. He comes across as self-centered. You can almost always tell when he knew the answer or not as a contestant answered. He is also horrible at foreign pronunciations. Dull personality as well.
Eh, both Jennings and Bialik Are snooty at times. A humble intellectual is not easy to find. Or one who is willing to put themselves in the limelight it's not easy to find. Like folks who would make a good president. Ones that would be really good aren't even considered. We don't even know who they are! Hopefully they're working behind the scenes trying to prevent us stupid humans from killing ourselves and destroying a planet

she makes awkward look awkward.. Her delays in addressing the response of a contestant shows she is ill prepared..
Neither of them are as good as Alex And probably will never be
She is in over her head after all she is only a TV actress. Perhaps another Phd would help, but I doubt it.
Glad to see her go...she was arrogant to the contestants...Not Jeopardy class.
I never detected any arrogance from her on Jeopardy. Did you ever see Ken on Chase?
Good news i can start watching jeopardy again
I really like Ken Jennings. Wish he did it all the time.
I applaud Mayim's decision, but will be overjoyed to have Ken take over full-time!
I'm glad she's gone. I hope that she stays away. I don't watch Jeopardy when she's on.
Bialik is out of her depth hosting Jeopardy and I watch only when Jennings is hosting. Alex Trebek was the master, but Ken Jennings brings his own presence to the show and is a natural in the hosting role. Jennings full time: Yeah!
Too bad she isn't stepping away permanently.
She did. She's not coming back to Jeopardy.
She’s only missing the last week of tapings. Not a huge chunk of the season. Plus Ken is a producer of the show, a lot of studios are making producers work during the strike anyway or be suspended (aka, not paid).
He[s still a scab.
As if he needs the money. He is a scab.
But he isn't a scab.
@@kanoaikawach we disagree; crossing a fellow worker's picket line makes you a scab.
He can only be a scab if he was writing for the show. You guys clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.
Good for both of them.
Her short pauses before she tells a contestant they're correct or not are very annoying. Then she does cutoff contestants before their time ends.
Maybe the writers don't because she never seems to have ad libs that work.
I much prefer Jennings..
Mayim is an insufferable narcissist.
@@user-on3fg5gt2h Thanks for telling us about yourself. The topic is about Mayim B, however, not you and your mental problems with women.
@@athens31415 Typing your comment made you moist, didn't it? Let me guess, you don't need no man do you?
A scab is a replacement worker who does the work of someone who belongs to a union and is on strike. Jennings is clearly neither a union member nor a replacement worker, so he isn't actually a scab. Good on Mayim for being supportive of the writers, however, if she had chosen to continue her hosting duties, she wouldn't be a scab either. At the same time, there shouldn't be ill will to Jennings for continuing to do his job. After all the WGA isn't on strike because of Jeopardy.
I am not a big fan of her on the show, but I am now a bigger one. SOLIDARITY!
You don't have to be a union worker to be a scab. And your narrow definition no longer fits. If you are in a job where scab writers are used, you are also scabbing because you are supporting their use. So if the show is using scab writers, the other people supporting that use are also scabs.
A scab is someone who crosses a picket line. Jennings is doing so.
Totally agree.
@@sdigf3167 So, what you're saying is, if one union goes on strike, everyone else who works in that company should go on strike, union or not.
Let’s all hope she stays away for good
She makes a lot of errors. I really liked her on The BBT as Amy, but Amy Farrah Fowler and Jeopardy! don't mix. Mayim is too slow in deciding wether the question is right or wrong. It hurts! So I stopped watching when she hosts.
Good for Jennings. The union helps pay striking workers. If Jennings went on strike, those non union workers would not have any income. I have had friends threatened by unions to not cross the line. I have been violently threatened because I was a political candidate twice in the last couple of months and FascistBook did nothing.
The BTS staff are most probably all union members themselves, if they haven't joined the pickets then I'd say Jennings is doing the right thing by continuing and allowing them to continue to earn their living
Good for you Mayim, and good for you Ken. Both sides take courage. None of this will change the outcome. The strike is bigger than Jeopardy.
How ignorant are you
you're comparing a game to people's livelihoods
Don't be ridiculous
Actually, She invoked the Jeopardy! name multiple times while getting political, which is a no-no at Sony. She has even done Jeopardy style Q&A when discussing the Isreal-Palestine conflict on various platforms. So her "option" to continue to host was _not picked up_.
I am happy!!! I don't watch Jeopardy! when she hosts. I love watching every day!!
Nothing says outrage like an anonymous Twitter user. Real deep work there Looper.
🤣😅🤣
Ken Jennings is not a writer or an actor. He doesn't have any obligation to strike. He is not a scab.
It’s because SAG is about to go on strike soon as well. They want to support each other.
Personally this is the first good news I have heard about the show in a long time. M.B. has a way of breaking the pace of the show that is disturbing. Fire her and make K.J. the one and omly permanent host.
If that is the case they should take it off the air because no one compares to Alex Trebek
@@gawayne8510 Jennings does not try to compare himself to Trebek. He brings his own presence to the show and is a natural. Bialik is out of her depth,
@@kateyare4708
I can say the same thing about Jenny's as he has None of the natural charisma stage presence that Alex did
A lot of people I know can't stand her, we wont watch it if she is hosting.
In the beginning I was rooting for Lavar Burton to get the job.
I was unsure how Ken would do...and knew that Mayim was smart and talented enough.
I still wish Lavar had the job but Ken has really shown he should be the full time host.
Mayim not so much.
Lavar would make things awkward with his scary fucking laugh.
Lavar was an awful host lmao there’s no way he should’ve been host. In fact, had Mike Richards not turned out to be scum, I would’ve supported him being host over Lavar.
@@s_solus3089 He made a joke. Would hardly call him scum.
Lavar was one of the worst. He would have been a disaster.
Aaron Rogers should have been the pick. He was obviously inexperienced, and a little shaky at first, but I think, with a few weeks of episodes, he would have been phenomenal. He definitely had the most charisma of all the hosts who participated, after Alex's death.
Jennings isn't part of Hollywood so F everyone hating on him
Nuh-uh. The fans walked her off.
Good grief. Ken is a free agent. That's what I love about him. He's himself, not "Hollywood."
It’s not about Hollywood! It’s about writers and workers’ rights!
He's just plain dull.
Ken’s the most natural host. He sounds like he knows the answers. Her hosting style of looking to the judges after each response halted the flow or momentum of the game.
Ah so that’s why she sometimes takes a few seconds to confirm or deny the response
Ken sucks and uses a double standard with woman contestants. He's a p.o.s.
Then don't watch if it bothers you that much.
@@debwoodhall27 A lot of us stopped watching a long time ago whenever she's on.

Writers are absolutely *Essential* to the entertainment industry. In fact, the WGA strike is to make a point of that. The absence of writers is hobbling, even shutting down, a HUGE Number of productions. The *last* thing that is happening is eliminating jobs for writers! The union is striking for higher wages and a stable pay structure, fairer deals and contracts, and provisions about AI.
As a member of an entertainment industry union (Screen Actors Guild; SAG), herself, Mayim Bialik is showing solidarity with the WGA, by not crossing picket lines to go work
In the Land of Opportunity, Bialik is free to choose to support WGA in any way that she chooses. But: she is not risking anything, is she? She is still getting paid, her contract is still in effect, and she knows that her job will be there whenever she decides to return. That is not the case for everyday non-union people who walk out to support union strikes. So: meh. Limousine solidarity gets very little respect from me.
OMG I hope not, she needs to go back to her shitty sitcom and please never come back.
I agree with Mayim's decision and I agree with Ken's decision.
Even if the writer strike is over don't tell her! I never want her to come back🙏
Ken Jennings is a way better host.

Yessss!!!! I’d actually watch it.
Blaming the WGA strike as the reason behind her stepping away is the perfect out she needed. Ppl are turning off Jeopardy when she’s on. She’s just not up to the high standard set by Jennings. Now she can save face. I hope she’s done for good.
Nothing wrong with working and making an honest living
Nothing wrong with striking so you can get honest pay for honest work.
Tell that to the selfish union members
Jennings is the right choice. No regrets there.
Ken’s the best host
It’s a sad state when viewers find fault.I’m sure it isn’t an easy feat to be hosting knowing you are going to be faulted for any small or different gesture 3:27 3:27
If we go strictly on merit, Ken is about a ten times better host than Bialik. I wish he were the ONLY host, just we had with Alex. I am a writer myself, and I'm sympathetic, but we also have to think of the fans who need their daily fix.
I really like the show, always have. But wont watch when she is hosting...
Jeopardy is about the contestant, not the host.
I couldn't stand her on Jeopardy. I thought she was obnoxious. Jennings is light years better.
None of them will ever be as good as Alex was, sad he is gone though
I preferred Art Flemming myself. I was not a fan of Mayim, especially did not like how she recognized correct Questions - often after a short delay. And little excitement compared to Ken but honestly I just like the show and would probably watch a robot if one was host.
@Thommadura that is the future all gameshows be run by robots

Ken went from contestant to host. He wasn't in entertainment before Jeopardy. And if questions have already been written, why stop the show? Also, pay the writers more. Or make LA less expensive.
Jennings is good. He should be the permanent host.
I totally agree!
If in the event Mayim never returns, I think she should do another show on on ABC primetime. Maybe she could do a revival of "Monopoly" or a revival of "Headline Chasers". It go good running back to back with Jeopardy.
That’s ok. She is a great person and very smart, but as a host, she’s like a robot that ate a bunch of ice.
What a sweetheart you must be. I find her a good hostess as is Ken. Alex Trebek has tough shoes to fill so give them a break.
Yes! She is a robot, just trying to get through the show.
I so agree. She's got talent but not as a Jeopardy host. Why has she not just backed off!? Ken is a natural. And Ken was Alex's choice!
She may be smart but calling her a great person is a bit of a stretch. Have you ever watched her UA-cam channel? An extreme narcissist she is.
All this hog hoo hee,I've been watching jeopardy for close to 25 years,I like ken .
So you make it sound like she walked off the set during live taping🙄 everyone's aware of what she's doing. It's not like she just walked off without notice!! 🙄
It’s called clickbait. This video is actually refreshing in that it is about the topic that the title says. Basically, people get lured in by the title, and watch to the end - where they get disappointed. The presenter gets clicks and views; that’s what’s important.
I hope she is permanently gone
You can't fault the host that stayed tho, Mayim has a lengthy career of royalties she can still live off of, the other guy still needs to eat!!

His net worth for 2023 is estimated at 6 million dollars. Ken Jennings is far from poverty stricken. You’re right that $6 Million does look small compared to Mayim’s estimated net worth for 2023 of $25 Million, but he’s not in a desperate “guy still needs to eat” situation. She cuts people off too many times. Dave was cut off with the correct answers he just could not say it clear enough for her. But everyone else was ok with it except for her. I don’t like her hosting this show at all. It’s just not her thing. Ken is great and a few others from try outs were also great. Not taking Dave’s answer is appalling.

No one cares for all the unemployed not effected by the strike if no host shows up.
The strike would end sooner if nobody crossed the picket line.
@Dean Tuckerman so all 160 people pn set need to be jobless over writers strike ?? Umm no .
Years ago when Alex was healthy, a news feature was done on how early he came in daily to prep for all the day’s taping. You paying attention Mayim?
Wasn't that his only job I agree he will never be surpassed as host but Mayim was hired with full knowledge that she had other responsibilities beside her hosting Jeopardy I believe the hosting duties are a matter of opinion and both have strengths and weaknesses but Mayim seems friendlier to me.
I can't stand when she's hosting. The game goes slower, and she doesn't know most of questions gerself, so there's always a wait while she checks the answer or is told "yes" or "no" through her earpiece. And that GD pause she does (for effect I guess?) before she says l, "That's correct," on Double Jeopardy questiond is so f*ing annoying!!! Ken Jennings ALL THE TIME!

Even as someone who fully supports the writer's strike, the Jeopardy writers are seriously full of themselves with that quote. There is probably no show that would be easier to automate away the writers than Jeopardy.
AI could probably do it
So you think all the comments and small joke are spontaneous, that the writers only come up with obscure information and just write answers and the questions? You’re deluded friends.
