      Agreed, I watched it the night it aired, and it was obvious he was a much respected and loved member of the WWE family. Nobody at the time gave any indication that they thought of him as the kind of guy who would have done what he did. Honestly, it must have been even worse for them after the truth was fully known, that their good friend and coworker that they thought they knew, suddenly becoming a monster.

    Here's a morbid thought on that last one. Since it was Owen Hart who botched a piledriver on Steve Austin BEFORE Owen's death at Over The Edge, the morbid thought is, its kind a shocking in a way, that nobody ever mentioned that maybe Steve Austin had something to do with Owen's fall/accident. I only say this because lest not forget it was Owen who cut Austin's in ring career short by botching up that piledriver back in the day. All I'm saying is, its a bit of a morbid thought that nobody tried to tie Austin's name into Owen's tragic fall, because that would have the makings of a Sam Clancy novel of someone seeking revenge for cutting a career short like Owen did Austin. Not saying Austin had anything to do with this, just saying its a morbid thought that nobody had ever thought about this or tried to tie Austin's name into that tragic night, if that makes any hope you understand kind of sense thing. Just saying. PS, And even though I wasn't a Owen Hart fan, he sure didn't deserve to go out like that. He was an amazing in ring talent. Just saying. RIP Owen Hart. We miss you.

      @@phantom8926 So true. All I meant was, I was kind a shocked that this wasn't brought up before & if it was, I never heard about it. When I watched some of the videos of Owen's tragic demise, it just hit me a few days ago that why or perhaps DID anyone else besides me ever thought that Austin might of had a hand in Owen's death? Myself, I highly doubt Austin ever did, but ya gotta admit, that since Owen did in fact cut Austin's in ring career short, this would really of made a lot of sense for Austin wanting to get back at Owen even though Austin never did. Or maybe Austin wanted to just injure Owen but it went too far as Owen died that night. But this is just speculation of course, & like I said, I highly doubt Austin had anything to do with this tragic event. Or perhaps maybe Vince McMahon had something to do with it, because of the Montreal screw job where Bret Hart decked Vince in the back after the screw job was complete & just before Bret went to WCW. Who's to say? Myself, IMHO Owen had a tragic accident due to the poor rigging of that contraption he was rigged in. Just saying.

    The Wrestlemania XIX Storyline with Triple H vs Booker T would have worked PERFECTLY if Booker T beat Triple H. If the heel just lost at the biggest moment of the year and Booker T became World Champion, it would probably be brushed aside as trying to hard or even vindicated as heat. Instead it was too much for NO realistic payoff.

    • @SupraViperhead
      @SupraViperhead 2 роки тому +10

      That was probably the original plan, but then Goldberg signed with WWE shortly before WrestleMania and WWE decided it would be best for Goldberg to beat Triple H for the title instead of Booker T; whether that was because they didn't Goldberg to take the belt off of another Babyface or they didn't want two WCW guys fighting for the Big Gold Belt...or maybe a bit of both. Hindsight is 2020 and looking at what went down after WrestleMania XIX, it's hard to imagine what the title match stories would've been had Booker T won.
      It would've been a great ending to the story that was being told, but there have to be stories that follow and it was better for Goldberg to end the long title reign of a heel than the short title reign of a face.

      Do you not remember 9/11 and the attitude of the entire country. What he said was simply what others were saying. Hell GW comment that "they will hear you" was an obvious threat. So no I see nothing wrong saying that the country responsible for the attacks would be turned into a parking lot. It's called an emotional response to seeing your fellow citizens murdered in an attack from a foreign enemy. You people are too soft for the real world if you feel his comments were racist or over the top.

      @@paulfavazza8119 The attitude of the entire country echoing that sentiment isn't the slam-dunk defence that you think it is. Yes, there is something DEEPLY wrong with saying that an entire country full of people, the majority of whom are innocent, should be killed in retaliation for the actions of a minority of it's citizens. People aren't soft for finding people salivating at the chance to kill in retaliation a bit distasteful, the people expressing that sentiment are blood-thirsty and inhuman. It's the exact same sick attitudes that those terrorists held. Emotional responses are often over the top and apologised for in the aftermath...again, that's not the slam-dunk defence you think it is.

    10. It would've been better had what Bradshaw said actually happened. Instead, they got rewarded.
    9. She agreed to do that interview. Didn't have to.
    8. Benoit isn't the only one to do the things he did or anything similar, and yet he's the only one that gets the cancellation treatment.
    7. Again, she agreed to do that and besides, don't a lot of people pay to watch others do that that they themselves put out there for people to see and pay for? not any different, but still stupid and unnecessary.
    6. Booker and Sharmell obviously knew about it beforehand and okay'ed it. When a Caucasian uses that word, it's actually mocking the mispronunciation of the technical term originally used for people of that culture. It's even used in the names of legal organizations and businesses.
    5. Again, he's not the only one guilty of that stuff and yet, he gets picked out.
    4. Everybody who gets involved in that "anti-bullying" stuff are complete hypocrites. It's just people being people. Get over it.
    3. That was another example of "let's make the white guy look like a big, bad devil because that's what all white people are!" line of hypocritical racism.
    2. That's why it's important to wait on doing specials like that. I never understood how they could get an entire production completed in such a short amount of time. do it later. I'm still mad at Benoit though for ruining a storyline that was actually intriguing.
    1. Blue Blazer was such a dumb gimmick. Really unnecessary.
