Him being that limited in the ring and on the mic held him back from being even greater but at the same time wwe knew who he was and his strengths and weaknesses when hiring him and still messed it up
Goldberg should’ve absolutely destroyed Triple H during their feud. I still absolutely say he should’ve absolutely won that Elimination Chamber Match at SummerSlam 2003.
The thing about his 03 run that became apparent to me over the years is that he was basically booked as the last minute replacement for Steve Austin. He carried on Steve Austin's fued with the Rock as the two had similar levels of star power and were often compared during the Attitude era. They needed to fill that top spot and Goldberg was the guy to do it. The problem came with the clash of styles with WWE wanting him to work longer matches, sell more, and put over guys more than he used to in WCW. You could tell he tried to play along but was increasingly more frustrated until he eventually checked out completely by the end. He reportedly even had a near fight with Triple H backstage which got him punished. When Goldberg was set to leave the company they basically substituted Austin in his place to finish his fued with Brock Lesnar (appearing on Smackdown to beat down Lesnar). I think this was a combination of his contract having a certain number of appearances left and not wanting to pay him for more dates, and the fact they didn't want to put him over any more than they had to (hence why he wasn't brought back and they pretended he never existed). The only reason he wasn't booked to lose to Lesnar at WM20 was the pure coincidence that Lesnar had even bigger heat with Vince for leaving to play American football. Had Lesnar not done that he would have beat Goldberg clean at Mania. As it was, they put over Austin by having him Stunner them both before they left which was an unceremonious exit and was telling of how they felt about Goldberg despite fans loving him.
Remember Adam Blampard (I think that’s how you spell it) from Whatculture? He had a video on how they should have booked Goldberg and it was absolutely genius. Book him only for ppv’s, make him unstoppable up until wrestlemania the following year or 2, sending off into the sunlight.

Ehh, overall, I feel Goldbergs career has been a success and positive. He was the hottest act in wrestling in the late 90s during the Monday night wars, which is the greatest wrestling boom ever. He brought an aura, intensity, and legitimacy in the ring that 99.9% of wrestlers just aren't able to do. Unless ya watched the rise of Goldberg in WCW in the late 90s, it's hard to explain to folks who didn't experience it just how big a deal Goldberg was. This video was is a copy and paste of many other channels who sh*t over Goldberg. Nothing new. Today's wrestling fandom is toxic and full of neck bearded nerds who feel to be a great wrestler you have to be a dean malinko or technical wizard in the ring. It's just simply not the case.. The absolute GOATs of wrestling coincidentally weren't ever really known for being technical masterminds in the ring. Rock, Austin, Hogan, Cena, Andre, Goldberg etc... they weren't the fanciest in the ring. But their aura, charisma, popularity, in ring PSYCHOLOGY is what set them apart from anyone else during their respective times.

I will say that McIntyre match is also pretty underrated I liked it, but that Roman match was kinda mid but honestly I wouldn't mind 1 more match putting over like bron breaker since he wants one that bad it can also leave him and wwe on good terms but ppl saying no it rlly doesn't make sense to me he just wants 1 more and he's already in the HOF just give him one
Wrestlingifs you the G.O.A.T videos fire 🔥
That world heavyweight championship looked great on him
Ngl we talk about heel cena we talk about Babyface roman but we don't talk enough about how booker t and Goldberg we're fumbled by wwe in the 2000s during the reign of terror
@WrestlinGifs you should make a video about the Shawn Michaels vs John Cena match from Raw in 2007, which was the longest match in the United Kingdom
The 2003 trips injury was a bad groin
Hhh suffered a groin injury not his quad
I kinda enjoyed Goldberg coming back only thing I hated was how they booked him to beat the Fiend🤦🏾♂️
I remember that elimination chamber match. I watched it like last year and thought it was stupid.
Pav my man hope you’re having a good day💯
The way you describe him is exactly how Brock Lesnar was booked.
Goldbergs return was perfect. Stop this. I watched his entire run in wwe and he definitely captured the aura he had in wcw and broight it to WWE...
Lmaoo alright bro
@@WrestlinGifs its a great idea for the video. They did things like this on wcw btw lol. Goldbergs run in wwe was magical. Great points, great video but you put things in fan's head like asif his run was trash. Not true at all
"Come back when you're 50 Bill"
Vince McMahon was trying to build an unbelievable house with Goldberg's career 👉(The building comes before the foundation) 👈
I know Goldberg beating Kevin Owens seemed like the wrong idea, but the fans were loud for it when they popped. And if you watch the fans in the front row, they all counted along for the 123.
5:18 Bring this animation back
I have to agree that, instead of stopping the HHH shit that EVERYONE was tired of, they made Goldberg part of the destruction of the company.
You can't blame the man.. and to be honest he should have gotten lawyered up for the 1st run with the company so he could keep the legacy alive.. but with triple h bangin, the bosses daughter, that didn't happen, and it became the triple h show.
