I had the Santa Fe passenger train as a kid Mine was different gauge - HO 2 track Huge train and interesting on the power Just saw the real locomotive engine at the Sacramento Train Museum Made a video if interested thanks for the memories and cheers🤠👍
I’ve run 9 Lionel AC motors on F3’s power by KW transformer. Also used ZW with good results. I have no idea of current draw but I ran out of rail cars to pull. The limiting issue was the 027 curves and cars tipping over & couplers letting loose.😊 nice consist but i would think the AC and DC motors would fight each other.
Beautiful train!
Thank you Roger, I appreciate your remarks.

Wow, that's an impressive Super Chief. Good to see vintage Lionel in the mix.
Jim, I purchased that vintage Super Chief set over 25 years ago from an old Lionel Service Dealer and I was thrilled. Thank you very much. -Steve
That was a lot of power, Steve, six motors draw a several amps!
You're right Joey, it's a power hog. It's not something I would often run lashed up, but I wanted to try it. Thank you. -Steve

Very cool Steve! what’s that speaker doing in the passenger car?
I installed an MRC Sound card in one of the cars so use the Aluminum cars on other trains that don't have sound.
Thank you for commenting, -Steve
