    Superb video again Pit-Stop. The Captur is imho the benchmark for B segment SUV's and the design is still da bomb (Dutch design). But, interior build quality is not on par anymore. The middle console is very wobbly and not free of rattles and sounds. Strange enough the Clio is of a much better build. Keep up the good work !!

      I agree with you about that middle console. On bad roads it makes awful sounds. It s a Reno, after all. PS I bought one for my wife. She is very pleased with it.

    Very nice and informative video.
    After owning 2011, 1.4 Dsg Octavia, I'm not sure I want my car to have robot for city driving.
    Other than that, the car looks very mature and elegant.

    Just bought the eTech hybrid. Excellent car. In the city it's more or less electric.

    Thank you so much for this fun and informative video! What are your thoughts on equipping the Captur with the 130 vs 150 HP 1.3 engine with dual clutch transmission? How do the engines fit with this car?

      @Pit-Stop  3 роки тому +1

      I will say the 1.3 is a brilliant engine (can't say anything for reliability because we don't get the cars for long enough), whether you get it in the 130 or 150 configuration. There's not a huge difference but it's there. The 130 will be a smidge more economical but both are good choices. The dual clutch is fine but quite annoying in stop-and-go traffic as it can be very abrupt.

      Both 150 and 130hp engines are technically the same. Same build, same components. The horsepower difference is mainly just software/tune. Don't know about you, but I don't think running more power on the same components is very nice for your reliability/longevity...

    Thanks, but what abut the suspension, handling and body roll?

    • @Pit-Stop
      @Pit-Stop  3 роки тому

      It's surprisingly stable in the corners, fun even. Not that much body roll. It's also reasonably comfortable, especially with the nicer seats. All of this is subjective, of course, so test drive yourself before considering a purchase!

    Do you think the TCE90 engine in this car is enough? 90 bhp...

    • @Pit-Stop
      @Pit-Stop  2 роки тому

      Truly depends on what you're looking for and how patient you are. For a Clio, sure. For a Captur? I would personally say it's a little bit underpowered. However, that's mainly if you'll be doing more highway driving. In the city, those 90hp should be quite enough.

    I'm not seeing this car advertised anywhere in South Africa. Just a bunch of older models and that's so sad. Lol

    Great car with "self reseting trip computer" Grrrrrrr, why Renault, why ?!?!? Is it so hard to solve it? Lots of space, pretty quiet driving, good consumption, exellent engine, and a few squicky sounds inside from I don't know where.....🤪🤣

    Very expensive in your country. I bought it with 1.3, manual, 130 HP, in the highest spec here în Romania (they called it Intens) with 17.500 euro.

      only 17500....very good

    • @Vroth
      @Vroth 2 роки тому

      Cred ca vorbesti prostii, Intens nu inseamna cea mai dotata, mai ai multe optionale de pus pe ea. Ajungi cu mult peste ce pret ai spus tu chiar si cu rabla, reducere dealer, reducere renault finance, etc.
      Nu mai vorbi prostii la cei din afara.

      @@Vroth are și extraoptiuni. Între timp prețurile au crescut cu cel puțin 20%. Eu am luat-o în iunie 2020 și era pe stoc. Preț special de lansare fiind printre primele livrate... In acest moment toate mașinile s-au scumpit, inclusiv din cauza penuriei de materiale prime. Nu are Bose și culorile portocalii din interior. Atât.
