Thank You for the video! i hope to visit them myself someday. would you mind sharing, now that you been there a couple of months, what would you change in the Van to make it better for an Alaska roadtrip? for sure the air compressor came in handy!
Glad you enjoyed the video! That’s a hard one.. perhaps a parking brake but that’s my own fault for not fixing it before the trip. I’m prepared for mechanical breakdowns and “obviously” flat tires. I have the air compressor and plugs and an overwhelming amount of spare tires. My van is set up pretty well for a bare bones campervan. You can do this trip with an suv with a sleeping pad and jet boil and suffer more or a class a rv and suffer less. As long as I don’t have constant mechanical issues my suffer level remains fairly low haha.
@@Sebastianstonum haha! its a vanagon, a little suffering comes with it. but seeing this is your 3rd engine type that you put in, i'm relieved i'm not seeing you have engine related issues. and it has you to take care of it. should be solid! When the time comes, i'm doing it in my diesel Vanagon. Thanks!
@@pyronitro if I have any sort of engine related issues I will drive straight off a cliff! Haha the diesel is nice. If I were to put it into words I’d say the subaru swap makes the van feel somewhat modern and the tdi makes it feel somewhat like a tank. It’s not smooth or quiet but it’s reliable and the power is there. 300+ miles out of the vanagon fuel tank isn’t so bad either.
That's a wild channel. My Gosh ! Thank you for sharing these incredible adventures with us !
Thanks for watching!
Thanks again for the video and I as well would love to see Alaska maybe soon will be waiting for your next video even if there short we love them
Glad you enjoyed it! Working on the next one now and it’s going to be good!!

@@Sebastianstonum nope. not bad at all. do you have a tune on your TDI ?
Those washboard roads will leave you with shaken baby syndrome.
One of the worst roads I’ve ever been on!
