As a fellow Vanagon driver/traveler and drone operator, It's nice to see that you respect and work with the regulations (that we don't want to be stricter), and that you mentioned that flying drones in national parks is illegal 🙂
I LOVE our public lands and I’m just trying to do my part. I always try and fly responsibly away from people and wildlife. I want to keep operating in the Gray areas of part 107 for as long as possible😂 Same goes with camping. Don’t piss off the locals and don’t give them a reason to throw up a no camping sign.

Thanks for vid it was great, can you elaborate a little bit about your engine and suspension? I have a 1987 2 Wheel Dr. with a Subi 2.5, GW lift, gas shocks, but always looking for other ideas.
Sure thing, it’s an ALH TDI out of a 2002 Jetta and the suspension is a mix between GW lift springs, spacers, fox and t3 tech shocks/uca’s and all Polly bushings with extended trailing arms in the rear
Patience or no patience, I did enjoy the wildlife photos! I giggle each time you drive by and hear the turbo whine! Just not a sound I expect to hear from our beloved Westys 😅
Thanks for this beautiful video. I have a 2wd tin top and I got it for free and for a good long while now have been trying to acquire a title for it which I finally did. I hope to perhaps get it going sometime later this year. Perhaps I can modify one of my numerous beetle transmissions to fit the 1.9 flat four however ultimately I would like to install my 24v snarling 3.6 VR6 or 12v VR6T. I love your TDI swap and have already done the same for my split window bus using an upside down Audi A4 transmission.

Thank you!! It’s a “snorkel” for my intake. The engine bay gets really dusty down dirt roads so having it up higher helps with cleaner air in theory

Congrats on getting the title issues sorted! That can be a pain. A vr6 swap would be freaking awesome!
