Astaroth - War Against Life [Full Demo - 1992]

Astaroth were a death metal band from Finland. They formed in 1988, recorded 4 demos, "War Against Life" being their 3rd one, and 1 EP.
The quality of this demo is undeniable, Finland always had a solid scene. They use short slow segments to hype up the next fast riff just to immediately afterwards go back to a mid-pace, catching everyone off guard. Its hard to do that and sound good, more often than not it just sounds like you can't keep up with the pace, but Astaroth managed to give it a nice twist and pull it off. Comparing it with other names from the same scene, maybe Convulse, early Lubricant or early Purtenance.
