The frame rate is that way because the graphics are so good and so detailed. But when I played this stage, I NEVER died because of frame rate. This is a really fun stage, my second favorite day stage right behind Rooftop Run.
This stage really tricked me up. But the one who really f*cked me is Eggmanland. Wait , now I remember that in this stage , there have some lag because of the AWESOME Graphisms. Well , too much great that even the XBOX 360 can't handle it. XD
Elliot Urbanoff No, both games are 60 fps, but because of tech limitations back that time, the game is pushed over the fucking line and goes down to 30 fps and even lag sometimes. SEGA forgot how much the games graphics filled in hardware, and so, instead of locking it to 30 fps and making the game a lot more controlable, they tried to push it.....did not work as you can see ._.
@@kaobunn Generations had a very cliche story, and the animations are a little off compared to Unleashed. Frontiers feels and plays stiff af, and don't even get me started on the lack of replayability that Frontiers offers (don't get me wrong, Frontiers' strong points, like the boss battles, are dope af, just not as good as Unleashed overall). I haven't played SA1 or SA2, but I CAN say that if what you're comparing both of these games are mainly the level design or the gameplay aspects... bro... you're just dead wrong... again.
Honestly I didn't find the level all that difficult...course that was after watching this vid several times. These vids are the perfect training tool for learning how to S-Rank everything. What really hits home for me with this game is what a joyful adrenaline blur the daytime stages are once you know how to run them properly. I haven't enjoyed a Sonic game this much since S3&K on the Genesis.
Jesus it wasn't that bad. Every console game has slow downs like these if enough is being rendered at a time on screen. If it doesn't it's because it has oversimplified, subpar visuals.
@cbonde10 sonic runs fast, like Dash the fact that he destroys robots in a forest and at 1:50 do you remember in the movie when Dash ran over the sea? (bad english, sorry)
Great run. I got an S rank as well! This level can be frustrating - one wrong move on those water portions and you're history. But I love this level. It's just gorgeous.
wow you got hella lucky at the end when you did the drift then jump to get to the goal. Great Job the hotdog mission for Eggmanland was extra hard tho... dying's such a payne
This level reminds me of both the Angel Island and Marble Garden zones from Sonic 3. Music reminds me of an obscure trance piece called "Tropikal Breeze". (You can find it on here if you search for it...) And does anyone else find it odd how the supposedly "stronger" Sonic's werehog form has to pound away at those big robots to kill them, while in hedgehog form he just slices through them like butter?
My only problem is that the controls sometimes don't lock into 2D mode when I get to the 2D section, causing me to fall into the background or walk off the path towards the screen. It just started doing this. Before I was blasting through it no problem :/
Ha OMG I finally found that last moon medal. Im gonna be nice and post them up cuz this is annoying to get 1). at the beginning of the level to the left boardwalk (accessible by rings), 2). right after the second checkpoint, 3). after the second checkpoint not the 1st chain of rings but at the second move to your left side for the moon medal and a shortcut, 4). after 4th checkpoint in the water near a chain of rings........
5.) on the 1st large island at the water run but you have to move at the back of the island by boosting there 6). 2nd water run accessing loop from springs 7.) at the tricky springs that turn upside down, there is a ledge in the middle, jump there to get it.
Hah, that actually sounds pretty cool. Speeding through Metropolis Zone and Flying Battery...There's something about running through industrial stages that just seem plain awesome to me.
Holding Boost for the majority of the game isn't the only thing you do; you also have to dodge, home, jump, and sidestep as well. And as for Generations, taking the higher path in every stage always allows you to skip portions, and even then there are still sections of platforming. The only stages where you hold the X button almost entirely are Green Hill and Speed Highway; all other stages (big examples being Crisis City, Sky Sanctuary and Seaside Hill especially) include plenty of platforming.
YOU took what I said and multiplied it times 10. The level is quite playable, in fact. The slow down is noticeable for maybe 2-5 seconds on stretch of land that requires NO turning, (when you enter the jungle). most of the level runs fine.
I have the game, and I love the Werehog stages just like the Daytime ones. Even if some of them are difficult (Empire City Night), atleast you're not beating the game in a day. I enjoy the battling, it doesnt get me bored. The music fits, the background is gorgeous and the furry Werehog does Kartwheel attacks xD
What made this level so much harder for me was for some reason the framerate was extremely choppy and inconsistent, especially on the running on water parts.
The game for all versions was originally going to be Sonic Adventure 3, then it was changed to Sonic World Adventure, then to Sonic Unleashed. It is still officially called Sonic World Adventure in Japan and has that name on their box art of the game.
Framerate was pretty bad at times (the actual level, not your video), but looking back at this, the level was really good and the only laggy parts were the water drifting bits.
The visuals look awsome, even in the standard youtube quality is looks simply amazing, I just got to the level but i need like 24 sun medals to play it so it looks like im not gonna be able to play it for a while :(. do you think that this level has better graphics than chun-an because they both look amazing.
we need more games like this that showcase sonic's true speed.it maybe just a taste of his speed but its waaaay faster than everything else he has on the market.
Hey, even though it's been 3 weeks, but I think can help you. The reason why everyone doesn't complain with Mario is because there's always a new twist of how you get star than just getting them. While for Sonic it's the same thing when you go back to the stage.( not counting acts ) Basicly you just go for the goal. ( which I don't have a problem with .) Hope that kinda this helps.
@MizzyRi Because they took out the part where you use Rings as your Speed Boost. Now you have to use those fuck Alians and run out of them so damn fast when you don't want to let go of the boost butten.
Man, once I got 901 rings in a successful run of this level, got completely owned around the part with the spikey spinning things, shows the importance of slowing DOWN before you attack them, and checking after every homing attack.
I personally agree, the speed boost can only be used in short bursts, the levels are usually way shorter, worse graphics, and the entire thing feels a bit slower. Im starting to get fed up myself, every time a game is released on all systems the wii owners seem to get the short end of the stick. Im trying to get a 360 this christmas...
@noiz87 :) It's also got the BEST music in the game too. ... Damn, I gotta go play this game's level again later today on my home theatre system. Heck, ANYTIME you perfect run this level with spectators, they are ALWAYS watching in awe - especially girls! LOVE IT!!

Cause eggman land is imposible for me at least the time trial T_T
I like the medal collecting, there's such an insane amount of detail in the levels that you just don't appreciate unless you search every corner looking for the medals, and why people bitch about replaying the same level several times when it comes to Sonic but not Mario when his games make you do the exact same shit goes beyond me...
i remember watching the first sonic next gen game and thinking those "superspeed" sections were fast. Then i got this game and although it has a lot of shortcomings, it is the only sonic game that really felt "sonic", 2nd sonic rush

I forgot how amazing this game was. Beautiful, atmospheric levels that're extremely fun to replay.

Wait , now I remember that in this stage , there have some lag because of the AWESOME Graphisms. Well , too much great that even the XBOX 360 can't handle it. XD

It's in westopolis 😂
This music is PERFECT for a Sonic Riders game.
Wow, levels look so much cooler when played by people who know what they're doing. Well done here, this was really a treat!

This is my second most favorite stage in this game. Nice music, nice looking stage.
The first is Spagonia.
God, I just love the way the levels flow on the 360/PS3 version of this game.
Oh, and Adabat's theme blurred out at 1:27 = Badass.
@5B0YAKASHA5 Thanks!
Did not help with Eggmanland though. Took a whole day of practice to S rank it and beat the hot dog missions lol.
I love how the stage is based on South East Asia. Really looks and feels like home.
In Japan this game is called Sonic World Adventure so it makes sense
the Reason why was, this was only my second try on this level, so i had no idea about the rail shortcut until AFTER this run.
Welcome to the Salty Spitoon. How tough are ya?
How tough am I? I completed Jungle Joyride?
So?
At 10fps.
U-um right this way sir

These daytime levels on the Xbox 360 are by far the best Sonic has ever looked. Freakishly fast. I still get chills when I watch these videos.
Thats cool :) the great thing is that both the 2D and 3D style do one thing perfectly, which is create AWESOME speed and stages
I didn't watch this video since 2013

The werehog was added for the same reason Tails and Knouckles mission are in SA2. Variety
