@CdotJ2607 Because it was. The game was developed in three seperate development silos. There was the PS2 silo, the Wii silo, and the X-Box PS3 silo. The PS2 and Wii silo collaborated since the two had lower graphical capabilities than the X-Station 360 version, but the Wii version was independent because of motion controls. As a result, the levels in the WiiS2 version are much smaller, and also, less complex, while the ones on the X-Station 360 version are much larger.
@NikkeiDS The wi version is a lower-res version of this, and was not made by sonic team, it was made by dimps so the levels are completely different, some people consider the wii/ps2 version a completely different sonic game then the Xbox360/PS3 version.
"WHOOOO! Feel'n good...!" Bullcrap! Srsly, how could anyone feel good about playing this stage! My strategy for COMPLETING this stage involved playing Windmille Isle act 2 umteen times untill I had about 30 lives. Finished the game with 6 to spare :) But completing this stage with no deaths... you are a legend!
What are you talking about StarmanPhantom? Sonic ran in a straight line in SA 1 & 2's action stages too. Exploration mainly happened in Sonic Adventure's adventure fields.
@ddrmaxman Colors Wii does NOT use the Hedgehog Engine. The HE is a graphics engine designed to perform high speed gameplay while uploading HD-quality graphics rapidly. The Wii is an Standard Definition-only console and is much weaker. The HE is in Unleashed and Generations (PS3/360) only.
@SweaterSwagg No, I actually preferred the Wii version to this. No crappy hub missions, no flying missions, and the werehog was a little more palatable. Werehog control was better and the camera was better as well. I eventually just sold the PS3 version, I couldn't take all of the nonsense it had.
@Piposaru025 I just thought about it because I forgot Sonic Heroes in included in the Dreamcast era in Generations, but you can also replace Final Egg with Final Fortress for the Dreamcast Era
@lyokomaster7 both systems have different capabilities, which is somehow ironic since the gameplay seen in sonic colors, only for wii, looks similar to the gameplay of the 360 version of sonic unleashed.
@TheBm1999 Don't forget the fact that 360s are prone to FREEZING upon form change. Trust me - it happened to me, but about 20 minutes later, it FINALLY became responsive again. Until....
@DieAggroZwillinge This dude's trippin'. Wii version of Eggmanland is like 360 version of Jungle Joyride Day Act 1. Somewhat difficult, but easy to beat with memorization. Not near the realm of impossibility like Eggmanland 360, which can be insane even with skill and memorization. Some plays I can go without dying once and do it under 10 minutes (hot dog vendor missions require no dying) and sometimes I can't pass it without dying 10 times. My death average for this stage is much lower now :D
I had to do this place around 3 times before I completed it...managed to get a B-Rank even though it took me 60 minutes...will attempt it again another time For now, nice work :)
@tsangpogorge I agree on everypoint except one: How is the Werehog's comb at repetitive when there's 35 moves? The enemies on the other hand, do get repetitive and boring in my opinion. Most are rather generic, too.
@Prid13 No problem. As for which version is better, that's up to opinion ( in my opinion it's the 360 version). I'm still a little confused though about what you meant with the werehog. Can you please explain a little?
I think it will still give me some nightmares, as I want to try to finish it deathless, as I want to be able to get the achievements associated with it (Doing all three Don Fachio's missions and getting his hot dog for the "Hungry, hungry hedgehog" achievement).
Yeah I know a few people who like the werehog bits! I dunno, it's very love it or hate it, I couldn't wait to get them out the way to be back on the day levels!
All I need is to beat this on the hotdog mission at least once in order to get the "Hungry Hungry Hedgehog" trophy. I am having the hardest time doing so as I can't seem to make it through without doing at least once(More like 10 plus). Hopefully some practice and wacthing this video multiple times will help.
@alflores95 I didn't die, when I uploaded this video to youtube they made the quality horrible, thus making the video seem like I started over, there is one more issue with your statement, if i did die my score would have been reset, same goes for my rings, it's almost impossible to get the same score and even if I did died I wouldn't take all that time to get the same score, it would be pointless.
You know, it's hard to tell whether it's day or night in Eggmanland. The only indication would be whether Sonic is a Hedgehog or a Werehog at the time.
@raveouse I spent 3 hours doing that same thing. 3 times I made it across by swerving only to mess up the QT once and falling off twice. I didn't even know until I looked on youtube that I could jump the sled.
@SacredBlackKnight Yeah, this level is ridiculous, I thought they shoulda split it into about 3 acts. I thought that once you land on the other side of those statues at 5:48 that woulda been a good place to end the first act.
this makes me wonder, if eggman ( or anyone evil for that matter) doesnt want sonic ( or any hero) to ruin his plans. then why actually build a way to get to him?
@Prid13 The level is long as hell because Eggmanland is HUGE! My geuss is that they wanted it to feel big and long like the whole base. The one in the Wii version is small by comparizon. As for the werehog, I honestly can't understand why people hate him and his levels so much. I sometimes perfer playing them to Sonic's levels.
Yeah. I was playing it at my friends house and we got to here. We barely scraped a B rank. It sucks how on this version you are forced to go werehog while you are speeding along.
@Prid13 What do you mean there's no werehog in it and it's short? Did you actually play the level? It's the LONGEST level in the game and you have to play as BOTH Sonic and the werehog. I also don't see how having the werehog would make it bad.
@tsangpogorge There is, and it allows you for running attacks, actually. Precision platforming? You mean like the little platforming in the day stages? That's rather nerve wrecking and tedious. Limited exploration? Can you give mean example of what you find as more spacious exploration? Rarely die, but when I do, I don't mind fighting the enemies again. That's part of the fun of a beat 'em up.
I still havnt maxed out my werehogs stats. Im just afraid that maxing out the hedgehogs speed will give me no reaction time. If I get one of this mission's hotdogs, I'll be happy!
I actually like this stage... well... when I'm not trying to do a hi-score run or a speed-run. But I can do a no-death S-Rank run of this stage almost time I want, and have enjoy doing it too. However, I think that comes from practicing the stage often.
@vgman94 exactly my thoughts ireally enjoyed the platforming on the night stages but the combat got too repetitive. the day stages are really frustrating to begin with too many cheap deaths but an absolute joy later on
@NMFlemzy True, Colors kinda showed that people hate challenge(I'm not saying it's a bad game, but man is it too freaking easy). We need more stuff like this level nowadays, gamers have gone softies and can't enjoy a fair challenge. This stage was brilliant, hard and many pathways to explore. I hope we get something as great as this level for Generations, I want something that will give me a hard time on it for many tries, and that I can be proud of finishing.
This level really shows you how weak the Werehog is. Sonic takes out those Eggman badnicks in one hit, turns into WereSonic, and has to hit them over and over to kill them lol.
@zeldaking320 So am I the only one who likes the night stages?Day stages...yeah they are good, but so are the night stages.I just love beating the living crap out of stuff.
Hey buddy, how you're jumping the wall of the parties: 4:31 to 4:40 4:44 to 4:47 Cause I'm still a part of the game you have to get some shoes to go, and I can not spend it. Thanks in advance.
I guess you can say it's an OCD. I just do it to see if I can improve my skills and dot better at what the game throws at me. Also, I know it can be done, so I encourage myself to go for it. You don't get nothing in some games for getting high ranks, but I feel proud getting them anyway.
@CirxMaxer I think of something better: An Eggman's Stages DLC for Generations including: Classic Era: Death Egg Zone Dreamcast Era: Final Egg Modern Era: Eggmanland Now there's a DLC I would buy
Jeez... I hate hard levels like this... I always say I'm never gonna play them again, but the harder they are the more I feel like getting better at it then eventually they become my best stages. Except this, haven't gotten past the first night transformation yet. =D Lost all my lives in the first minute so now I'm running around collecting more so that I can waist them all here again.
The move is called "Earth Shaker" and In my Opinion is on of the greatest moves ever, I'm not sure when you get it but it's around level 23-27
I love the idea of switching off between night and day to finish this Zone all in one go. It's pretty epic.
The entry of the level should have a sign exclaiming "Welcome To Hell!".
Thank you soooo much for this. I absolutley hate this level and this will help me out alot!
"WHOOOO! Feel'n good...!" Bullcrap! Srsly, how could anyone feel good about playing this stage!
My strategy for COMPLETING this stage involved playing Windmille Isle act 2 umteen times untill I had about 30 lives. Finished the game with 6 to spare :)
But completing this stage with no deaths... you are a legend!
Your a god at this level, I can't even start saying how many times I cursed at this level lol awesome job!
What are you talking about StarmanPhantom? Sonic ran in a straight line in SA 1 & 2's action stages too. Exploration mainly happened in Sonic Adventure's adventure fields.
You playing this and triumphing has given me the confidence to play this again and do as good as you thanx ^v^
This level is the grand dad of mother fucking hard levels man you deserve a medal for doing so well in this torture
The move Earthshaker is in the Wii version too. The controls are "L-R-L-R LR together" In other words 4 left-right combos then both hands together.
@1stkirbyever The PS2-Wii version was made by Sonic Team, with the help of Dimps on the Daytime stages
@SweaterSwagg No, I actually preferred the Wii version to this. No crappy hub missions, no flying missions, and the werehog was a little more palatable. Werehog control was better and the camera was better as well. I eventually just sold the PS3 version, I couldn't take all of the nonsense it had.

when i saw that Eggmanland was in this game, I was like "Dude! Finally Eggman is able to build it!!"
wow just wow u have major skills cus this lvl killed me so many times XD u the man man XD
Did anyone notice that the triangles Werehog Sonic picked up were very similar to the triangles for the Wisp Speed Power ups in Sonic Colors?
@TheBm1999 Don't forget the fact that 360s are prone to FREEZING upon form change. Trust me - it happened to me, but about 20 minutes later, it FINALLY became responsive again. Until....

My death average for this stage is much lower now :D
The only challenging part in this game. I love it. Takes me back to the old days, when games really tested your skills and patience.
I had to do this place around 3 times before I completed it...managed to get a B-Rank even though it took me 60 minutes...will attempt it again another time
For now, nice work :)
@tsangpogorge I agree on everypoint except one: How is the Werehog's comb at repetitive when there's 35 moves? The enemies on the other hand, do get repetitive and boring in my opinion. Most are rather generic, too.
@SweaterSwagg
I dunno. Eggmanland in the Wii version isn't exactly forgiving.
@HermanAnimation "So am I the only one who likes the night stages?"
yup, pretty much
9:30, you were probably like "OH SHI-" xD
Man, this stage is always EVIL.
And it's in VHS quality?! Awesome!
I really like this level because it has both day and night time gameplay.
Said no one ever.
@Prid13 No problem. As for which version is better, that's up to opinion ( in my opinion it's the 360 version). I'm still a little confused though about what you meant with the werehog. Can you please explain a little?

I like how they combined a day and night stage into one.
@CdotJ2607 As MarkoKenova said.. And the release date is about half year or so sooner.
This is with out a doubt...the best looking Sonic game ever. I hope they keep the "hedgehog engine" for future Sonic games.
Eggman must've had a lousy childhood to have such an amusement park fetish throughout the Sonic series.
If eggmanland 360 stage is a mixture of day and night stages should we call it a daight stage now?
as much as i know there is a record somewhere hidden after the first werehog part running with sonic in 2d
woo! crisis city half pipe at 5:08! dude you are some kinda beast
You must be a god at this game to accomplish this. I died at least thirty times before I finished this stage. I was lucky enough to get a B.
@6:43, is that the Egg Bishop robot from Sonic Heroes?
i like the fact that you can change between sonic and the werehog at big points in the level i think they should do more levels like that
When I grow up i want my Company's HQ to be almost exactly like Eggmanland from PS3+Xbox 360+Wii all rolled into one
@brolinvids
i dont know if thats entirely true
sonic colors is made in a similar fashion to this
In my oppinion, the dreamcast had the best ORIGINAL controller as the the 360 used the dreamcast controller layout on the xbox and xbox360.
Imagine this level in Sonic Generations.
...Well, this IS Eggman's dream come true, so it must have all it can to be up to par.
@alflores95

Don't know as of yet. I highly guessing a mixup.
Nice combo at 1:05 - 1:07.
Which buttons did you press?
This level is the epitome of HARDNESS LIKE BATTLETOADS.
That's what can happen when you perform well on every main stage in this game, including bosses.
Isn't it better to max the abilities of both hedgehog and werehog before even doing that stage?
@Prid13 The level is long as hell because Eggmanland is HUGE! My geuss is that they wanted it to feel big and long like the whole base. The one in the Wii version is small by comparizon. As for the werehog, I honestly can't understand why people hate him and his levels so much. I sometimes perfer playing them to Sonic's levels.
I dont understand, why is it that daytime sonic can kill a robot with one homing attack, but werehog sonic has to kill it like, 5-10 times to kill it?
Yeah. I was playing it at my friends house and we got to here. We barely scraped a B rank. It sucks how on this version you are forced to go werehog while you are speeding along.
@MrNicholas1000ism I Have Seen Tons Of People Ask This; And The Reason Is Because The Wii And PS2 Could NOT Handle The Hedgehog Engine.
i heat EggmanLand damn so hard
good work dudde . that was close thanks to that pipe
@Prid13 What do you mean there's no werehog in it and it's short? Did you actually play the level? It's the LONGEST level in the game and you have to play as BOTH Sonic and the werehog. I also don't see how having the werehog would make it bad.

Eggman: Finally! Eggmanland is built! After all these years!
*Sonic destroys everything*
Eggman: AH $#!T! &*@$! ****! Dammit!
cant wait to do the hotdog missions on this level
I still havnt maxed out my werehogs stats. Im just afraid that maxing out the hedgehogs speed will give me no reaction time. If I get one of this mission's hotdogs, I'll be happy!
The stage of hell of all sonic games
OMG There is too much stuff going on in this level!! I think the writers of this game were on some serious crack when they designed this level!
@supersonicmario56 Yeah But Colors Still Doesn't Use The Hedgehog Engine.
I just noticed that there are two fenris wheels. Does Eggman really needs two?
Why oh why did the wii/ps2 version have to b completely different to the xbox/ps3 version
This level actually looks more fun than the one in the Wii/PS2 one.
I actually like this stage... well... when I'm not trying to do a hi-score run or a speed-run.
But I can do a no-death S-Rank run of this stage almost time I want, and have enjoy doing it too.
However, I think that comes from practicing the stage often.
hod did you do the attack combo with the werehog?
@vgman94 exactly my thoughts ireally enjoyed the platforming on the night stages but the combat got too repetitive. the day stages are really frustrating to begin with too many cheap deaths but an absolute joy later on
@NMFlemzy True, Colors kinda showed that people hate challenge(I'm not saying it's a bad game, but man is it too freaking easy). This level really shows you how weak the Werehog is. Sonic takes out those Eggman badnicks in one hit, turns into WereSonic, and has to hit them over and over to kill them lol.
Did anyone realize the fact that if Eggman didn't put any of those sandglasses, Sonic would be lost?
I actually love this stage, aside from the pipe platforming as the Werehog. It's very challenging, but also very fun.
So does this stage have higher percentage of rightfully earned difficulty compared to cheap deaths of Sonic 2006's End of the World stage?
Eggmanland shoudl've been remade and appeared in Sonic Generations....now that would've been a worthy challenge.
This is how Chemical Plant in Sonic Generations will look like.
@zeldaking320 So am I the only one who likes the night stages?Day stages...yeah they are good, but so are the night stages.I just love beating the living crap out of stuff.
Wii/PS2 Ranking is based on time.
PS3/360 Ranking is based on score.
This stage makes me rage!
Mix of Sonic and werehog in this level?
I shit you not, this level took me about an hour to go through the fist time I did it. It just seemed to go on and on and on!! O.O
@brunothehedgehog
if thats true, 2 question
WHO IS HIS MOM?
AND WHAT KIND OF JOB DOES SHE TAKE TO GIVE HIM THIS MONEY????
Hey buddy, how you're jumping the wall of the parties:
4:31 to 4:40
4:44 to 4:47
Cause I'm still a part of the game you have to get some shoes to go, and I can not spend it.
Thanks in advance.
I guess you can say it's an OCD. I just do it to see if I can improve my skills and dot better at what the game throws at me. Also, I know it can be done, so I encourage myself to go for it. You don't get nothing in some games for getting high ranks, but I feel proud getting them anyway.
i dont want to be a idiot but like SonicBallZ sayed how do you recor this with very good quality
which version of the game should i get wich one is better wii or ps3
WOULD SOMEONE PLZ ANSWER THIS U KNOW U GOT TO,
shouldnt his feet have been melted from grinding the rails with his shoes
Finally his dream came true xD after years, he finally have his little city xdxd
the eggmanland day theme is SO much better than the night one
@CirxMaxer I think of something better: An Eggman's Stages DLC for Generations including:
Classic Era: Death Egg Zone
Dreamcast Era: Final Egg
Modern Era: Eggmanland
Now there's a DLC I would buy
You and me both brother, and by the way, the werehogs moves looks cool.
