I have the same smoker, but with the glass door and same stand. I drilled a hole in each leg on the bottom and mounted four wheels. It’s much more mobile now. To clean it, I use vinegar and water spray and hose it out. It was easy to clean. I’ve made ribs and smoked salmon mostly. You are absolutely right about the LED readout being very dim. Otherwise, it’s a great little smoker.
How often do you need to add the wood chips? Is it as simple as watching for no smoke? Also will the stand work on an older (12 year?) Master built smoker?

THANK YOU AND MANY BLESSINGS TO U AND YOURS!!!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!
Hey Jon , I have the same smoker but instead of the leg option , I picked up 4 casters and now I can move it around . Cheers and Happy Smoking.
I wish I had seen this before ordering the legs. That's a great idea.
hello new subscriber of France, very good video thank you Pierre

Was there ever an answer? I had the same question. How often and how do you know when to add more chips?
On mine I add Chips ever 35 minutes in think the manual recommends every 30 to 45. Usually by the 45 minute mark you don't see any smoke.@@AdamL-w1z
Amazing, thank you!
You the best Dad!
can you smoke it in temp. 55-60 Celsius which is most desirable because I heard that it will not smoke below 80oC, ?
I think you may be correct. Temps that low would probably prevent the wood chips from burning enough to create smoke.
Do you add an extension cord to this? I was surprised at how short the cord is. Don't like having it up so close to the house.
I do use a heavy duty extension cord that I run from my shed.
@ Ok I'll do that, thanks! Currently running it for 3h to burn off any chemicals before I get to smoking!
New subscriber and thanks for the review. But, I gotta ask, a rope for a belt? 😳
Man, people really notice details. Not a rope. Actually a belt that resembles one. I’ve moved on from using it. It didn’t work that well.
Jon, Do they not recommend soaking your wood chips? Nice little smoker.
Some recipes do recommend soaking them. I think it’s an option but not required.
Can you use pellets?
I was given a big bag of pellets to try. I haven’t used them yet. I don’t see why they wouldn’t work though.
@@thelynnelife1893ok thank you
Rate the smoke taste of every meat you’ve cooked 1-10 .
Can you actually appreciate the taste of the wood 🪵 smoke?
