    Just found your recipe. I was going to experiment with making a no-churn ice cream with cream cheese until I saw your recipe. It was perfect. I mashed he strawberries into small pieces and mixed them with the jam. I also added vanilla paste and a pinch of salt. I put it in a springform pan, and it's in the freezer now. I'll cut it into wedges like a cake. I also made plain vanilla bean no-churn ice cream. I'm going to a dinner party tomorrow afternoon after church, and I know the strawberry cheesecake ice cream will be the hit of the evening. Thank you for all your recipes. You are amazing!

    Just returned from my dinner party. Eight people attended, and they ALL agreed that this ice cream was delicious. Thank you again. Will make it again for another dinner party on August 28.

    omg! your recipe is a combo of a couple different recipes i use, and to see it in ice cream form is amazing! so NOW, im going to take this base, put it over shortbread crust, layer it, and add shortcake crumbs( like the ones on ice cream bars,) and call it shortbread ice cream cake! thanx for inspiring me!

    This looks incredible Noreen!!! What other flavor variations do you think would work...my boys aren't huge strawberry fans (although, I WILL be making this version for my husband and me as is, for sure!) Maybe chocolate or caramel or oreo.... How would you substitute... BTW, I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and I am HOOKED, lol... I wait everyday to see what you will come up with next...while also systematically going through the archives as well :-) You are wonderful!

Hard to be a young person these days!!, anyway, wanted to share!...also, I used seedless raspberry jam, instead of the strawberry, for two reasons, one, I had it, and two, I forgot to get strawberry jam at store and was too lazy to go back! lol, in the end, it was wonderful!!!...love your vids! so easy to follow

    If Rick loves strawberry cheesecake flavor, he should try the strawberry cheesecake blizzard at dairy queen! I think he'll love it

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  10 років тому +3

      He has had that before, however Dairy Queen does not agree with any of us. We always get stomach aches when we have it so we have resolved not to go there anymore because they use questionable ingredients in their mix.

      @typsom 10 років тому +1

      Noreen's Kitchen just noticed this in the top comments. I have this exact same problem and people think I'm just faking. But I'm not... their "ice cream" causes me a lot of stomach pain. problem is, I have DQ so infrequently that I remember what it does to me only after the pain's started

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  10 років тому +5

      Fredde jpg No, you're not faking! It is in the last 5 years I'd say that this started happening. I have the proverbial iron gut and not much bothers me stomach wise, but when Rick complains that it bothers him there really is something to it. Both my girls began to complain also. DQ used to be a summer time treat. The shops here are only open during the summer. We went once last summer and then stopped. Haven't had a problem since. When we have a craving for a treat from somewhere out, we go to Sonic. It is cheaper and they have more shakes than you could ever try in a whole summer anyway. Mind you, we don't do this very often, but when we do we now run by Sonic. My favorite is a small pineapple shake with extra pineapple. YUM!

    • @typsom
      @typsom 10 років тому

      i love anything pineapple haha. we dont have sonic up here sadly. It's good to know I'm not the only one with that intolerance
      it started for me ages ago. i think i was 11 and the cramping lasted for a solid 24 hours

    • @Yourlocalpsycem
      @Yourlocalpsycem 10 років тому +2

      Blueberry topping is easy. Take fresh or frozen berries, put them in a saucepan with sugar to taste, and a bit of water, boil for a few minutes, and you have topping. Can I also suggest blueberries and maple syrup, equal amounts, boiled in a saucepan, for about 5 minutes. Amazing!!! Hot or cold, I love this!

      I had to make some changes to the infrastructure of my site. I removed an unnecessary SSL certificate that would only be necessary if I were taking payments. That protects your personal information as well as your banking information. When I started the site two years ago, I didn't know any better and they sold me a $70.00 application that I did not need. So I cancelled it. As a result the whole site needs to be what they call "Re-propagated" or reset into a non SSL mode. It should be up and available in a couple of hours barring any further problems. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    noreen u use one cup of stawberry preserves and 1 cup of fresh srawberries,at the end of your video u said its better to leave fresh strawberries out.I had cancer surgery & hemmoraged so that caused me to lose all my vitamins my dr. got them all back up but my D he has me on 100 units of vitamin D weekly,I cant drink milk it churns my stomach,but I have been going to fastfood places for strawberry shakes I can hold them down & they are yummy but getting expensive.So my question is if I leave out the cup of whole strwbies should I use 2 cups of strawberry preserves?I would luv a vid on just plain ol' strawberry ice cream,but I know your a busy wife & mom,your the only channel I really watch anymore LOVE IT!! ice cream will help boost my vitamin D says my doctor.To add more or not PLEASE HELP Im lost without your channel.TELL BACON MAN I said hello,love his new channel also,have a very BLESSED day,Rachel k

      Just use the one cup of preserves. Two cups is going to be way too much. It will be fine.

    I only have 1 cup of heavy whipping cream :( would it work?

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  8 років тому

      No, sorry. Using less will end with disaster.

      +Noreen's Kitchen For real or just sarcasm? 😂

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  8 років тому

      No sarcasm. If you only use one cup of heavy cream it will not turn out right and you will waste all those other ingredients.

      +Noreen's Kitchen Thank you for your help and for that great recipe! I made half of the recipe and it tastes (unfrozen) soooo delicious, cant wait to try it tomorrow!

      Awesome! Halving was a better way to go, that way you get the full impact of the recipe. This is delicious before freezing in a dangerous way but even more so after freezing! Hope you enjoy it!

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  9 років тому

      No. Because this is a no churn version you really need to stick with the recipe and use the condensed milk
