No.3 strikes me hard. I mean, I know there's one tile of space between road and building, but using fences and trees to fill up the space is simply amazing
Regarding number 3, you can have up to two spaces, you can also do this by converting the main road to a dirt road, then place a dirt road next to the main dirt road to create the two spaces, pop you building down, then delete the spacer dirt road, this can also be used to achieve a single space when using 4 lane/6 Lane vanilla roads.
// \ \ // \\ // V ====== l l ll ll Ths is a example. at intersections, cars turning left always collide with cars turning from the opposite direction. so that this does not happen, the crossings must not be in a straight line. You understand me
I like to draw a t intersection and place a busy building, freight train station, at the top of the t. Then delete the t top. It becomes a drive way where they drive in and out. Hope this makes sense
Sometimes it is very hard to get ferry, and fishing docks to sit well and not raise the ground under the attached roads when you put them down. If you put a length of road down first and then snap the dock onto it they will sit perfectly. This is especially troublesome when putting them close to sea walls. Seaweed and algae docks are often put down very close together and putting a short piece of road down first to join each consecutive dock works extremely well.
Mmmmm, love that vanilla AI driving on No.1. Make the ramp and the through traffic uses it for a pointless couple of lane changes. Gotta have me Ctrl + Shift click with traffic manager to keep them out of the damn way. Though also watching people cut across from the middle lane to exit might just make it more realistic.
There's a commercial building that is just a carpark so you spawn in a bunch of those and make them historical and then you'll get actual functioning carparks ingame
As a sub I watch all your vids. Even tho I'm heavily into the mods and assets now (45 GB RAM on game load!) every once in awhile I'll take a few week break from the game and then I'll forget some of the default distances for asset placements, etc. The train station hack is a nice trick.
@@CRemy-pk1fh Ha! no. Ryzen5/B550/64GB-3800DDR4. I play at 3440x1440 resolution with a 12GB GPU because, yes it will go over 8 GB VRAM occasionally with textures and other eye candy turned up.
I just realized the right of way set back when downgrading your road. Thanks for finishing my thought on how to take advantage of that. Im using mods but still makes it easy to get that space right.
I saw someone do this with zoning when they built a minor road, upgraded up a wide road, let zoning build up the street, then converted the street back into a minor road
Super helpful tutorial! Thanks! 💛 While watching the cargo station part, I'm thinking how do you mange the high volume of traffic in front of it? Could you give us some ideas next time?
The best (and only...) way is to make the road one-way, so that the trucks will drive the lane on the same side of the road where the station is located. (With some mods, you also have single lane roads.) This way the trucks will all come from one direction and turn in the station. The outgoing trucks will exit the station a bit further down the road and drive away the opposite end of the road. They never hinder each others entering or exiting the station itself. Some people plan a two-way road perpendicular (at 90 deg angle) to the station entry point. Also here the entry and exit traffic will not conflict with each other. (But in my opinion, this is not very realistic visually...)
i love your videos! i watched you since 2019! and i started to comment this when this had no views and no likes and 0 comments! ;) and keep up the good job! your videos are always the best! btw can you give me a shoutout?
For parking I wasted 3 hours of my life waiting for the game to finally fill the empty space with "Edison Hyper Charger" at the end it looks very good, but you need a lot of time to make it...
No.1, just use Node Controller Renewal, it will be way easier to make it and it will be way smoother. No.4 there is an asset in workshop, called Parking Lot Road....
Vanilla games are beautiful cause people get really creative with their assets, you definetly own the 🥇 place!
Haha thanks buddy😌
We just have no choice, if play on console...
I wasn't half as creative as this guy when I used ti play vanilla and I'm still not close with mods so....
I'm feel bad for console player
@@mr.pradana1273 well, you shouldn't. For some people, vanilla is actually enough
No.3 strikes me hard. I mean, I know there's one tile of space between road and building, but using fences and trees to fill up the space is simply amazing
Yeah, I knew about it but with fences, trees and bushes that look beautifull
I love these kind of videos no mods just vanilla assets
it actually reflect your creativity..
That "more spaces" trick is especially pretty, thank you!
The highway is soooooo useful for none mods players.😇
Yes it looks pretty decent imo
@@imperatur it's very useful indeed. Really love your all series. Just waiting for the POV hahaha.
You can basically get your whole highway network aligned with equal spacing by planing with a dirt road. So useful indeed
It's actually one of the first step to solve traffic is to have dedicated lane for exit.

No doubt,These tips are extremely helpful for any player, thanks for sharing ❤️👍
Thanks for watching bro:)
That train station tip alone in #5 was worth the price of admission! Thanks!
1:30 Lane Mathematics! First thing i learned from Biffa, really useful, realistic and functional.
This was amazing! I use all of these on a daily basis when building cities!
Imagine how talented he’ll be ten years from now
The Easy Train Station alignment was beautiful. 👏🏾👍🏾
A hack is to put the avenues at an angle different from 90 or 180, so the cars do not cross to turn left
Can you explain a bit more?

@@redmosjr408 You're talking about cars from opposite ends having enough room in the intersection to turn left at the same time?
@@machr293 yes, when the traffic light changes the cars get in the way

finally!! :) glad to see you back for the small tips :)

A tip I like is CURVE YOUR ROADS! Makes it more realistic and its easy with the road guidelines!
ooooo. i personally use the farm fence as the "metal" guardrails on like mountain roads and stuff, and zoo fence for the "concrete" highway barriers
That train station trick is brilliant man🙌🏼
I seriously love these hacks
this is probably my favorite series ( amongst the others on your channel ) as these small hacks really help to improve the city a lot
You can make a short bridge whit out pilars by making first a ordinery road and then lowering the ground so you can upgrade the road to bridge
more like this please!!
I don’t know any more tricks😔
Excellent vanilla hacks, that's what I'm talking about!
He is now a video producing machine
tried doing the 1st without dlc's took way longer but it didnt turn out so bad
i dont know modding shit so i dont play with dlc's
love your tutorials!
Altough I don’t play cities skylines I your videos explain great!
Me too
That’s awesome to hear:)
Wow, #3 and #5 blew my mind. Thank you!
Realistic highway ramp is 31u (250m), because 1u=8m.

u also may connect the suspended rail track with monorail line directly..
You can make street corners and roundabout entries and exits more gradual and highway ramp transitions even more gradual by extending nodes.
Thank you, very useful
I wish there was a lane manager in vanilla game, it SUUUUCKS when all cars use 1 lane when there are more and cause traffic jams
I feel the struggle!
Nice! Thank you.
I love your tutorials so much 👍😃

For the number 2 you can use highways with sound isolation
N. 3 is really good!
I always had this question for some time why you never use steam train station they look good in vanilla
Of course you can also use asset manager to make car parks.

It is all about Mathematics
The highway ones clears the clutter
You know what else is good for guard rails? The built in guard rails
Amazing 🤩!!
You can also use a L shape road off the train track if you want to set your station further from the mainline :)
I use Node controller to align roads intersections. Using a road is by far a better solution.
Node controller should've been officially included in the vanilla game, along with Network Multitool and Traffic Manager.
My son will love city skylines!
