“I think there was a little bit of realism”
You’ve keyed in on something very important about Jimmy. He has trouble with introspection exploring his feelings, but his true feelings often bubble to the surface when he’s pulling a scam. It’s like the only time he can be honest with himself is when he’s using it as part of a scam
Wow. After multiple watches of this series, I hadn't noticed that. Good point. Interesting.
Or when he starts to feel real emotions he gets scared and turns them into an act where he can manage
"My parents are dead. My brother, my brother is dead. I have no wife. If I die tonight!".....
I feel like when he first starts crying it is genuine and then he immediately gets angry that Chuck put him in this situation and he flips it on a dime back at him
"If you're this motivated, nothing is going to stop you except for yourself." That's the whole show, there.
He finessed me too in this scene lol, Jimmy is so easy to root for and like but so so dangerous with how easily and casually he manipulates
he is never easy to root for 😂the manipulative ones are the worst
I love the fact that Pryce has some kind of high-tech quadruple-locking system but didn't even reinforce the back door at all 😂
😂😂😂😂
Nacho's situation is basically crazy 8s fault. He mentioned Nacho's dad's business in front of Hector, and the same day he presses Nacho to use his father's trucks.
Good catch.
Awesome catch! Crazy how that karma just hits without making it known.
I think Mike's reason for changing his mind on that job was hearing how she never got closure when her husband went missing.
He was reminded of the innocent civilian that found the truck driver. The civilian that Nacho told Mike that Hector shot in the face and was buried in the desert. No closure for that family either, and Mike feels a measure of guilt about that situation.
A "measure" iykwim
Man, these last episodes from season 3 are FIRE...!
It's like watching a car wreck... You can't look away but you also can't help but cringe...
I've always felt like towards the end, he was genuinely crying at first because of how up shit creek he currently is. But then he accidentally blabs about Chuck's breakdown and, remembering his anger at Chuck and realizing he can use that to bring Chuck up shit creek along with him, uses fake tears and continues rubbing it in. My point is, not everything Jimmy does is an act.
lol Saul really does get you. I think most of us got schemed by him a good few times throughout this show
"innate money" is hilarious
Lmao we were all there with Jimmy's breakdown at the end. I believed every word, but in a moment he pulled it back and got us the same way Saul only knows how to do.
16:12 with the twins here .. we have officially 7 people that have been in both Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia LOLOL .. idc they exist in the same universe
Who's all the Sunny actors? I know about the 2 Sklar brothers, the main film student guy in BCS (he was in Sunny S2E1, wheelchair guy), Uncle Jack Kelly, Splooge (he was in Sunny S6E10, the guy who wipes down the loads), The Waiter, Huell and Ryan McPoyle. So that's 8, who else am I missing?
@@arnodk2852 well I can’t say cause it’s all the way in S16
Jimmy is the guy you root for, but then there are moments where you’re just like “He’s getting one over a bunch of people right now.” Also, I really love how Jimmy make the commercials with the film crew. They do a great job together and it’s always interesting to see what they’ll do together. And the Nacho storyline continues to get more and more interesting and how Mike will get involved with this due to the whole pill situation. It’s amazing to see so many of these things get connected or reconnected after awhile. Great reaction James, I hope you’re doing well. Take care and have a great day!
I love how much you appreciate the female characters in this universe.
Great writing and brilliant acting!
@@JamesVSCinema Don't forget the blond hair and the feet!
@@MamadNobarifiring squad for you
@@MamadNobarideath by acid bath
@@MamadNobarilantern cast out of you!!!
There should be an anime series just about Mike doing stuff with Kailey, teaching her and the audience how to do things like how to make a sprinkler from a garden hose, just very cute and wholesome. But the B plot is Mike trying to keep his secret life secret, usually by taking care of cartel members like it’s Loony Tunes lmao. I think it has potential!
spy x family?
I am not alone when I say Howard Hamlin is a good man. Also, I just noticed how much foreshadowing is in this episode.
Jimmy's stage direction is always on point.
"They don't teach you that in filmschool." James, have you heard of Werner Herzog's film classes? If I remember correctly, he taught how to pick a lock or forge a foreign filming permit.
Dang, I need to take that man's classes
Saul would win over Nightcrawler guy. The reason being Saul can connect more with people and actually pull them to his side. The Nightcrawler dude creeps everyone out. One interaction with him and you can already tell he's way off.
Pretty great comment!
seriously lol Lou Bloom is constantly sabotaging himself because he is socially inept and completely self serving
Not to spoil anything but: You'll love the episode when Jimmy's yellow car takes its final ride.
not spoiled dw! yeah it was the end of an era
Mike, Nacho, and Jesse are like the holy trinity in terms of “moral criminal” types in the BB/BCS universe. If it was just them and none of their crazy bosses/partners, they’d all be CHILLIN’ and making a ton of money.
If they had a show of just Mike fixing stuff around people's houses, I would watch that.
3:30 funny you said this , knowing the final scene of the series
"...blessed with innate money." LMFAO. I will be using that phrase on the regular for the rest of my life. Rest assured, i will quote you warmly and accurately, James ;)
Hahaha by all means!
15:47 these comedic twins were in Always Sunny as DJ´s in "The Gang dance their asses off"
But Black Dynamite..I sell crack to the community!

Much love!
Donuts don't wear alligator shoes!
The Kevin Costner, bit , was referenced in Breaking Bad, as Saul said he pulled scam by pretending to be Kevin Costner! 😂
11:05 Definitely an unintended joke, but it made me chuckle anyways.
Jimmy messing with Chucks insurance will become one of the most important things in the Breaking Bad Universe.
Remember this Scene!
Kim/Rhea Seehorn is 100% the best! The sleeping edits are incredible this season too!
Its getting better and better. Thanks.
The previous episode was the second time we hear him use Saul Goodman not the first. He used that name and explained it once back in the first season
Who else watched Cheap Seats on ESPN 2? Loved that show.
Black Dynamite quotes will make me giggle no matter when they’re said
LMFAO
Seeing "Colin Robinson" (Mark Proksch) being anything other than an Energy Vampire feels weird.
Did you do the tv show ‘Firefly’ and the movie ‘Serenity’?
Did you recognize the store owners dj fat mike and squirrelly D from “The gang dances their asses off” in always Sunny?!
man how are you on season 3 and still refer to him as Saul 😅
happens g
A good lie will be loosely based on the truth. His feelings were real, but what he was doing with him was an act.
Love the Fargo easter eggs on this channel :)
The lid or cap from the bottle of rare booze, ...please remember that cap. ✌️
15:54 if I heard right Jimmy said "50% off"
There are a few photos (movie covers) where I thought it was Odenkirk, but it was Costner. It isn’t a complete lie
Let's go!!
Regarding walls: no spoiler here but, wait until you see the last shot of the show...
i enjoyed how james clicked on to it1 im glad he enjoyed the series too!
There's a reason they call him Slipping Jimmy
Hey Bro your profile photo is so fucking epic
Got some Tom Sawyer vibes in that mundane Mike scene
Hope nothing bad happens 🫢😬
Menace 2 Society is the best movie for you to react.
Its great to be able to rewatch such a good show trough someone else's eyes. Learned a lot through your commentary
