Some people love living on a lake. We had a cabin on a lake in north Wisconsin back in the 60s. It was great! Today id rather go to a lake than live on one, to noisy today unless the lake has restrictions. Otherwise its jet skiing, loud boats with louder people, but each to their own.
@AndrewMooersmainerealestate Absolutely! I'll get up early, pack a small morning meal, pour the hot coffee in a thermos, and head to a nearby lake (10) minutes away. Sit on my favorite spot on the shore and soak up the sounds. When the boats and people start arriving and the noise starts, l go to do a hike, or head to a quieter place. I chose Maine to get away from people. So please, don't bring too many here, it'll ruin the ambiance.
Nice property, much too large for me, but the sounds of the water lapping gently is awesome. I used to dream of a lakefront property but now, I have the dream of living in Maine with at least an acre or two, it doesn't need to be near a lake. Your words at the beginning of your video about sharing what we're looking for, gave me pause to think......what exactly I would like. No big home for me, I'm a single lady and after living in an RV for years, I know a big space gets easily filled up with things you really don't need so much. I'm looking for a nice place where my Aussies can run outside, a place where you can look up and see that beautiful Maine sky and see nature around you. It would be so nice to have a place to grow vegetables, too! A small cabin or shed would do nicely, nothing fancy. Yet, not too far isolated because I would love to go to church on Sunday and have a local store that isn't too far away. Oh, and of course, a place that I can afford! ha! I have good credit, but not alot of cash on hand. Sounds like an impossible dream, I know, but I also know that if it is the Lord's will, He will make a way. I've seen Him do impossible things time and again. Thanks, Andy for all your hard work bringing these videos. I enjoy them. God bless!
Thank you John! More like that, off grid simple ones coming up. Video, images collected on two yesterday to get processed and uploaded! Stay tuned! Visit www.mooersrealty.com ! 😀
One word. Waterfront. Lakefront. Have other smaller lakes and consider just a lot, building to keep the price point where you want it. Waterfront is rare, fun, never cheaply priced.
Nickerson Lake is 234 acres. To compare to another local one, Drews Lake up the road is 1057 acres. East Grand Lake is over 16,000 acres and 8th largest in Maine. This is a big lot but there is no average. One of the grand old lake properties held by one family for over 70 years. There are never ever enough waterfront properties in Maine.
Nickerson Lake is a location everyone wants to be but only so much comes up that does not get gobbled up quickly. Will keep listing the waterfront properties... the by far most popular type I get calls on. Who would not want to be on the waterfront?
@@debbiemower Everyday, just repeating what folks online, in the office, on the phone and in emails tell me. They think Northern Maine, rural Maine has so so much lower priced waterfront. Try finding something an hour from Boston on the southern end to buy. It's too expensive for many and too many people plus many lakes have milfoil, are overworked.
@@AndrewMooersmainerealestate I don't disagree with that, but you just proved my point. It's either Aroostook or Southern Maine. There's a lot in between. Covid drove the out of staters up here, and prices shot up, and stayed there. I get that you push for The County because that's your territory, but Mainers have been priced out of the market.
I would like a Maine property close by in between Waterville and Bangor weather at least 10 acres or more or something that has a good cabin for one person and or maybe two and I want water or extreme preferably
Consider buying a lake on a smaller less known lake and building or parking your RV on it Debbie. Remember, nice family own the place and have lots of fond memories since back in the 1950's! Have you been to Nickerson Lake?
I am currently living in texas we have been looking at possibly buying a piece of land or a home with land in maine we dont mind off grid i am disabled and on a fixed income and my credit is poor so i need an owner financed or help with financing if it is possible.
Have a lot of owner financing on land but not so much on buildings, homes. I bought a lake place with half down, made payments at a better rate than the bank at the time through the owner. You could consider buying near a lake, on 40 acres and tap into the many lakes that are handy to the land. That's what a lot of folks do to keep the cost down for waterfront access. You just need a boat to haul from lake to lake. Some go that route Ed. 😀
I can see myself drinking coffee in the morning overlooking that calm water
Or something colder at night. Lakeside is relaxing. Let's go water skiing (the kids holler in the background)

What is the total square footage of acreage on this land and what is the price Andy
Just shy of 1000' for living area.. plus you have the porch that is 3 seasons... 38'x10' which is huge, could be more if closed in and insulated.
