Allison story sounds like many parts are blown out of proportion. I believe she was raped and attacked, even had her throat slit, and stabbed multiple times, but the amount of blood loss she'd of had, wouldn't of been possible to live by any means if it was as bad as the story claims. There is no way you can nearly decapitate a head with wild violent knife thrashes, and not cut the throat in a way that'll lead to her dieing from suffocation on her own blood. Especially since their first attempts was by strangulation and they didn't even do that properly. Being gutted and still living is more than feasible, it happens quite often at serious car wrecks. I even remember a story of a EMT friend mentioning how once they arrived to a scene, to find a business man walking around talking on his cell phone while his guts were literally hanging out. He was in such shock and had so much adrenaline in him he just plain didn't notice. It takes much longer to bleed out from a gut wound, than a neck wound. A neck wound like she had, if as bad as the story claims, would of killed her in a matter of minutes. Period.
Her resilience reminds me of the older gal who's ex husband hired a biker hitman to kill her. She wound up beating the hell out of the hitman and eventually killing him in self defense if I recall correctly.
What is unbelievable is the amount of killers that dont understand how to properly kill someone. The time given in this case where they could disembowel and slash her throat and they dont just stab her in the jugular? Severing the jugular and you are guaranteed dead within 2 minutes, and you will know when you hit it. Why do I even have to backseat murderers.

All the comments about Allison’s story makes me feel good about this community. Turns out we all felt the same way about her and how amazing she is. As well as, I have never seen a story cause so many people to come together on here. What an impact!
Allison should play the lottery for how lucky she was to survive. I like to imagine the look on those monsters faces finding out she lived through everything they'd done
They're is more detail to the story. They said she needed to be able to verbally accuse them. A problem with cut throat. Against doctors advise for her healing at that stage she spoke up.
Those monsters don't deserve the lives they have. When someone commits such a horrific crime, brutalizing and nearly killing another person, then they forfeit their rights to a fair trial. That's the way laws used to work, laws nowadays don't go far enough to deter crimes like this. An inhuman monster doesn't deserve to be treated humanely IMHO.
The last story made me incredibly sad. We think of ghosts as being the scary ones, but we never stop to think about how scared they might have been when they died.
What i got from it was that the ghost might have been a solider that died from that orange chemical who wasn't ready to cross over or maybe doesn't even realise that hes dead
With all the weird malarkey that happens in the world ghosts aren't that far fetched of an idea. For the 3rd story I'd rather like to think it was a ghost rather than a god damned skinless horror in the the flesh
Yeah, I was relaying the story to my wife as soon as I heard it. I can’t even fault the bastards as being dumb for leaving her to die, who would have thought she’d live long enough to identify them, let alone make a full recovery? (I can fault the bastards for being subhuman scum that I’m happy to know are rotting in prison until they die and go to hell.)
I remember I was in high school when Allison came to our school and talked about her survival story. Was super intense. She even showed us the scar on her neck. Her outlook and sheer will is very inspiring

1:24 Fun fact, flight 666 to HEL used to be a thing for eleven years. It was Finnair’s flight from Copenhagen to Helsinki. :) The flight number has since been changed, but they do still operate a route from SIN to HEL (Singapore to Helsinki).
Knowing that Hel is the Norse goddess of the underworld makes this that much more comical. The urge to say "Welcome to Helhiem" must be overwhelming for those pilots.
Allison ... what an amazing human being ! I cried, oddly out of pure joy , to hear and see this womans' story and THEN her positive attitude hence forth truly humbled me and my petty issues of the day. Hats off to you Allison, I want my daughter to hear your story and know what amazing things people can do in situations way worse than high school drama . And to carry your words with her as she goes through her own lifes journey.
@Lacie Noakes thank you! I actually got the chance to do this yesterday and while I was taking her and her friends to the mall after school. They love riding with me bc I play the spooky stuff and there were 3 girls in my car that included my daughter and all of them honestly wanted to hear it again. They could not believe that she had lived . One said " I'm going to think about this every time I think life is too much and then thank God for never putting me to a test like this " . Truly amazing lesson and I STILL have goosebumps every time I hear it again. I never want my child to have to go through that and being the "scary stories mom" has actually made them more aware of what the world is like and how to spot danger and use their heads. I think it is wonderful that they are able to use the lessons that these stories are able to teach them without them knowing that they kinda just sat through survival 101 😆 ❤❤
@@heatherdavis345 I hope you and your daughter's friend understands that the horrific event that took place for this woman isn't a test from God. So many women and men go through similar terrifying ordeals and don't survive . It's not because they were weak or undeserving, it's because Allison got so damn lucky (even if she was a particularly strong person in the first place). You can do everything right and still lose to evil people. Someday maybe society will advance far enough where that won't happen anymore. I think that, for example, things like listening to women's complaints about their life might help in the long run. It may stop "evil" people from even developing since it would inspire empathy in those around us. It seems that you and your daughter are very close but just for anyone else reading this, please remember not to downplay your children's troubles no matter how trivial they may be. It's a dangerous world out there and you really have to cherish every moment you get.
@Liziren and it's more of the moral to her not to put herself in situations , be more alert and aware of her surroundings. But she has oppositional defiance order and that means mom has to find ways to get her attention to the right things other than social status.
I am overjoyed that he's back to doing story narrations. Maybe it's his tone, or maybe it's the eerie music he pairs with the stories, but Lazy's narrations always seem spookier than other YT horror narrators.
@@KarlMarxFanClub yeah really.. My take as a military man: Someone genuinely trying to kill her? Any competent killer wouldn't need that many blows. So either they were incompetent or it was Divine will.
I was planning to end it with this world. Hearing Allison's story makes me reconsider my decision. If she made it, I should make it too. At least, I hope I'll make it too. Thank you, Lazy, for this video and this story especially.
@@Protagonist_earthc17 I agree. Nonetheless, sometimes the feeling is overwhelming. I'm good for the moment. My best memories are not many but I manage most of the time.

tekbarrier kinda got a point. These kind of stories rarely happen in Norway, or at least rarely compared to other countries. Except when it comes to ghost stories. In fact, many of my friends and colleagues believe in ghosts.
@@SuperStrangSshadow Norway is considered pretty safe. Then again, I'm living on the countryside. If you head into the wrong alley in Oslo during night or some of the other "big cities" you might risk stumbling into trouble. But again, the criminality here is nothing compared to other countries. Like, the Police here is not even armed. They deal with most cases the pacifist way.
@@MrNinjafreak You don't know anything about that. You don't live here. There are lot of partners killing each other. People get murdered very often, sometimes every week. And there are also often many family tragedies where some parents has killed their own children. Norway isn't that calm as you think.
The story set in barcelona where the woman kept trying to escape from the creep was horrifying, and the way u narrated made it so vivid I could envision it clearly! U are an underated talent lazy!

This episode was such a great start to the series. I hope we eventually do get a part 2. Can’t believe it’s been 5 months since this episode was uploaded.
there’s a documentary about alison, called Alison (lol) which is where i first learned about the case. it includes all the gory details so it’s extremely difficult to get through but it truly shows her strength and will to live, highly recommend it
I was a kid when that attempted murder happened in SA. I was sitting and listening thinking that it sounded so familiar. Then you got to the throat slitting part it all came back. Anyway, well told! Thanks for a great episode.
Love this series and all I can say is welcome to South Africa. We have a crime rate higher than the mafia and violence against woman runs like water through the streets.
And Eskom keeps the lights off instead of on. Like our country may be a shithole, but we have some positives, that can be replicated anywhere else, like our foods. Gods I really want to get out of here…
Lazy - u have got to be kidding me???? 3 years since the American road trip series? Unreal my man. U have been a part of my life for longer than that. Just crazy how much you are a part in ALL of our lives!!!! Love ya kid ❤️
I'm a native South African and I can't disagree with you at all. The landscapes, animals, cultures, foods, etc. are beautiful but it's the people that make it dangerous. It saddens me quite a bit.
Greetings fellow Logan, as a person born in SA, I can’t agree more, I love everything about this country that doesn’t involve these dangerous and evil individuals (except Afrikaans despite it being my home-language)
@@howdareyouexist better be a joke… and if you’re serious… some people here are very, very violent… especially to white people (there is a political party that advocates to ‘kill the boer’ which are mostly white) and women of any race…
These were some good stories. Strong start to the new series. That Allison one was especially insane. If it was in a fiction I'd be eye rolling but to think someone actually survived that. There's little people I have more respect for than her.
You’re one of the few channels that I can listen to and actually feel like I’m temporarily escaping in to a different world. You’re awesome at creating an immersive environment, Lazy. Keep up the amazing work as always ❤️
A World Tour version of the American Road Trip series, eh? I like the idea very much. I look forward to this and the future entries when they get released.
This is a great new series. Thank you! Can't believe it's 3 years since the road trip!! The stories were amazing and Alison such an inspiration!! Glad the man from Brazil turned his life round and is doing good work to save other young men from that life now. Hoping to get a part 2 soon!!!
I am from South Africa myself I knew about the Allison tragedy it was bad, I think somewhere I had a book where she wrote about what happened to her and to motivate people to keep fighting, it is very sad. Another shocking fact was that at the time Allison sold copies about her story and one of the men ( I think it was Frans Du toit) wanted a copy of the book to read in prison
The fact that that animal is able to be alive in prison is a mockery of the system. He should have been eliminated in the same manner he attempted to do to Allison.
These are fantastic. Thank you so much for gifting us with another brilliant video, Lazy. Can I ask: Will Ireland feature on this world tour? There's so many stories of hauntings, banshees, ghosts and other Celtic supernatural folklore. Would be awesome to see you cover some stories from my home land! :D Nonetheless, keep the good stuff coming! My mother and myself adore your work!
Alison's story proves that with the will to live there is an unknown strength in us that just can't be explained ...💯 much love & respect from South Carolina 🙏🏽
Alison is one of my "Inspirations" to have that happen to you, & not only survive or even thrive but stick it to the bastards that did something like that to you for "Fun" is unbelievable. Strength is in all of us, it's something we cannot learn from others, but by learning what people like Alison can do gives us the push to see what we can do for ourselves when the time comes, I've unfortunately had a few of these moments & not only have I survived, I have helped others do the same, had I not been inspired who knows where we would have been.
And I already heard the Alison Botha story. Amazing and inspiring story of courage. It's also crazy she managed to also have two boys after being stabbed in her womb so many times. Just unworldly and incredible. That woman was put on this earth to live
Love everything you do, but it's always nice to see you get back to your roots with the scary stories. If this series is anything like the last one, we're in for a treat.
Crawling along a roadside after being stabbed 46 times, being disembowelled and having to HOLD YOUR OWN HEAD ON to stop it falling off while using the other hand to hold her intestines in might just be the most insane thing I have ever heard! What a total fucking badass lady Alison is!
I can't even imagine how poor Allison could have suffered through such horrific injuries, literally holding herself together. An amazing and sad story, but what strength! Thank you again for another great video. Your voice is so relaxing despite the stories you tell, I'm a huge fan of your channel, keep up the good work!
I doubt it'll be continued, but this is the series I've most been wanting to see a continuation of. I looked it up tonight to revisit it and make sure it wasn't just something I had imagined.
Hey lazy, do you think you could do more cases from Latin america? I would love if you could do the case of Teacher Nibaldo, it happened in Chile, he was a friend of my aunt. He was murdered by his wife and honestly the case is really scary
Thank you for including South Africa. I remember this story. Amazing how someone's will to live can be this strong. She deserves everything good in her life.
Thank you, Lazy! Amazing stories, as always. I’m looking forward to the next batch. And a word of advice for people holed up in bathrooms: you have access to slippery liquids (shampoo, liquid soap, etc.). Use them to slick up the floor or your limbs (makes it hard to grab hold of you). Squirt them in the bad guy’s face, if possible. I hope no one reading this needs to use this. Stay safe, everyone!
Nice! I remember recommending this as a series after I watched one of the 50 states horror stories videos. Im excited for this series to hear some unique stuff from cultures unfamiliar to me! =]
Nearly woke my partner up when I clicked on the notification for this video and saw edgy filter Cockmongler staring at me from 2005. Don't expect comedy out of you, Lazy, but that was great. Very excited to see another geography series through! The road trip was definitely my favourite theme you've done for the channel, and your 'region locked' videos were my faves of your lot. Absolutely stoked
You, Deadbug, and Criminally Listed are my three favorite True Crime Channels of all time. That’s because you guys put the most effort and quality into your content. Rock on!!!
That second story is like action movies where people somehow super humanly resilient. Edit: Holy shit, it's not a story?! I guess I missed the true part in the title. I swear, if it's not your time, it just isn't. And I have a harder time everyday believing that there is such a thing as coincidences
You might like the documentary series I Survived. Horrifying situations as told by the individuals who lived through them. Some end on positive notes, like Allison's. There are some episodes on youtube if curious.
Hey, Lazy. I love your videos. I am a truck driver who loves listening to scary stories on my runs, and your channel is one that I always find myself going to for an entertaining time. The stories you choose are super interesting, and your narrations make them so easy to listen to. The light ambient music you include also helps your videos be even more chilling. Thank you for providing us all with great, scary entertainment!
When you listen to stories like these it always reminds me of this. "There are no limits to the evil of humanity, if it's possible somebody has already done it." In the Brazilian story the predictable guy Louize is unsettling and all but the real scary people are the ones who look utterly unassuming until it's too late. Never buy into stereotypes.
Oh man, that first story! “Quickly, get the kids out the house. My brother has killed my parents and is probably coming to kill you all!” “Hang on now, I have multiple questions.” I kind of get it, when you’re surprised you have questions, but listening as a third party I was like just get out of the damn house!!!!
I'm late to this video, but I didn't buy number 1 at all. Seemed like bull. Just because someone says it's a true story, doesn't make it so. All of these "true" scary stories with no proof always have alot of details, too many. But the actual true stories get to the point without all the inner monologues. Can you recall every detail of the most traumatic moment of your life? Neither can I. The husband sounds like he was written by someone who is definitely not a husband or a parent. He didn't ask if wife if she's okay, or did she call the police in the first phone call? He just panicked? And the dramatic moment "Ted" happened to see him and showed him the knife? And the husband didn't immediately get furious that a man was threatening his children? Sorry this one is a little too ridiculous.
@@jenniferjohnson-jb7ki I also didnt buy it, not because of the details tho, I guess you can add some here and there to make the narrative more interesting for the video. For me its because even tho I am the first person to forget my phone around a house, in this situation Im sure first thing I would do is make sure I got my phone to call police as I try to get the children safe. But also, using scissors as a defense weapon instead of a knife?
Before I watch this video I just want to thank you for everything you done . I’ve been watching you since the beginning and I’ve always love hearing your stories at night . Remember, the best things happen in the dark …..
Please! Upload the second part soon! I been waiting for a very long time for the next part! I am dying to see what stories you have for us in the next part and it’s been a very long time but still no second part! So please make the next part and upload it soon!
The men who attacked and very nearly killed Alison Botha were granted parole in July of this year. She is currently seeking help to challenge the court's decision, but she must be absolutely terrified.
Ah... Another new edition. Perfect timing, just when i was about to call it a night. You sir, are the best at what you do. Please, for our sake, keep it coming. Again, you're the best Lazy, thank you.

The thumbnail slayed me 💀 anyway Lazy, just wanted to say thanks for making such consistently interesting content and I always look forward to your weekend uploads especially as they made my weekend shifts more interesting and made it worthwhile to get up early
Your road trip series was so interesting, and most of all, it was soothing. Your older stuff is some of the only content I can fall asleep to, and I think we need this right now.
Lazy, again, I must say. I'm sure this video is a banger. But the earlier version of the thumbnail sent shivers down my spine especially now that it is currently 2:15 in the morning here 😭
Lazy I’m SO excited for this new series!! The road-trip series was what made me initially become a huge fan of your channel, I’m really glad you’re bringing it back in another way :)
Omg!!!!! That poor girl Allison!!! That is some true will to live!!!! I’m glad you made it Allison!!!! It’s great that you’re helping others now. Perhaps that was your calling, and why you survived.....to help others survive!!!! Absolutely amazing. May god’s grace be forever with you!!
These stories remind that sometimes a man or a woman (mostly men) may look human; however, they lack the main quality that separates humans from monsters. Empathy is so important. If you know someone who doesn't show empathy or fakes it, run like hell!
Those "monstrous" qualities are vestigial traits left over from our evolution. Soft, privileged, modern humans obviously don't understand that those traits are what helped humanity evolve and strive in the past. It wasn't spineless cowards that ran from violence that built our society. Despite weak willed modern sentiments, violence is literally what built our species. Only those willing to fight, kill, and take what they wanted ever managed to survive and procreate, meaning those traits were passed from generation to generation. Lamenting those character traits is little more than you admitting that you have no understanding of the concept of evolution. These aren't "monsters", they're human in the most base sense of the word.
@@SkunkApe407 I agree to an extent, but we're not wild animals living on the savannahs anymore and human success has been built on a mix of cooperation and competition for millennia now. The "monsters" (in reality, psychopaths and the like) are incapable of cooperation because they don't understand the concept of mutual benefits and have no true social bonds with other people. Their utility to society is therefore quite low, because they're unable to wield power or influence without abusing it. They might be successful in the short term, but in the process they cause a huge amount of chaos and damage to others in their reach. But psychopathic traits have survived in the human gene pool because they are advantageous to the individual (not least in - to put it bluntly - being able mate with lots of partners)
@@James-gc5if competition has always been the greater catalyst for advancement though. Just look at the advances made during the first and second World Wars and compare them to the relatively stagnant progression since. Those men you call "monsters" are the very men created by and needed for conflict and competition. The problem isn't that they don't fit into society. The problem is that society has failed to create a place for them until they have need of them. Society's desire to end all conflict will eventually be its undoing. You can only starve a dog for so long before it turns on you.
I was waiting for this!!! I loved the USA one so much, I'm so glad you reused the concept! Can't wait to see Russia, my home! Thanks, Lazy Mask! Keep up the good work!

There's literally 0 ghosts bro, people who believe in that are easily gullible.
@@Bread-nx9fo Of course ghosts aren't real, but that doesn't mean ghost stories don't mean a lot to nearly every culture on Earth.
With all the weird malarkey that happens in the world ghosts aren't that far fetched of an idea. For the 3rd story I'd rather like to think it was a ghost rather than a god damned skinless horror in the the flesh
Allison’s story was so awful. It’s unbelievable she really survived what happened to her
Yeah, I wonder where her scars are...?
Yeah, I was relaying the story to my wife as soon as I heard it. I can’t even fault the bastards as being dumb for leaving her to die, who would have thought she’d live long enough to identify them, let alone make a full recovery? (I can fault the bastards for being subhuman scum that I’m happy to know are rotting in prison until they die and go to hell.)
Man she gripped onto life like a soldier
And total proof we all have very strong healing factor hidden away. People are forgetting she looked like a dirty mess when discovered by the Vet.
@@Necrow_Productions you seriously did not just ask this? What's wrong with you?
I remember I was in high school when Allison came to our school and talked about her survival story. Was super intense. She even showed us the scar on her neck. Her outlook and sheer will is very inspiring
Thats nice 😊👍
Allison story sounds like many parts are blown out of proportion. I believe she was raped and attacked, even had her throat slit, and stabbed multiple times, but the amount of blood loss she'd of had, wouldn't of been possible to live by any means if it was as bad as the story claims.
There is no way you can nearly decapitate a head with wild violent knife thrashes, and not cut the throat in a way that'll lead to her dieing from suffocation on her own blood. Your throat is a large part of your neck. So I don't believe she was "nearly decapitated" by any means. slit throat? possibly, with it looking way worse to the attackers, than it really was.
Period.
She came to our school too. She really is inspiring and made a very big impact on me
1:24 Fun fact, flight 666 to HEL used to be a thing for eleven years.

What a wonderful idea, I think that I'm going to do the same thing for my two daughters as well!! ❤💜💗🖤
@@liziren1983 she understands. She just uses the term as she is still finding her voice in this world. ❤
@Liziren and it's more of the moral to her not to put herself in situations , be more alert and aware of her surroundings. But she has oppositional defiance order and that means mom has to find ways to get her attention to the right things other than social status.
Good on the man from the Brazil story. I'm glad he's trying to protect young men from his own mistakes

That second story is nuts! To think that anyone could survive such an attack just speaks to the strength of the Human spirit.
Yeah shit was super crazy. Stabbed 30 times and throat slit 16 times that is just such a crazy way to go but to survive it is even more insane

@@MrNinjafreak I know what you mean but I think that might be some kind of bisarr stories in Norway too. There's a lot of criminality, though,
@@SuperStrangSshadow Norway is considered pretty safe.

Sick fucks. Happened before my time but it's a cautionary tale for us.

The fact that that animal is able to be alive in prison is a mockery of the system. He should have been eliminated in the same manner he attempted to do to Allison.

My brother has killed my parents and is probably coming to kill you all!”
“Hang on now, I have multiple questions.”
I kind of get it, when you’re surprised you have questions, but listening as a third party I was like just get out of the damn house!!!!
Exactly my thought!! I yelled at my phone. “Just Go!!”. Then I thought I might have asked one question. Do you know if he used a gun
I'd be too scared of him showing up while being outside of the house to leave it lol

These stories remind that sometimes a man or a woman (mostly men) may look human; however, they lack the main quality that separates humans from monsters. Empathy is so important. If you know someone who doesn't show empathy or fakes it, run like hell!
Kind of like your profile pic, huh? Run away!
"Mostly men" oh you just had to go there didn't you 🙄
