Getting ready to defend big “boom” turkey leg talking Jhon on what I believed at the time Uncalled for and idiotic trolling but not understanding why you would call him a female and worse why 100 idiots would “thumbs up” to trash like that …… then I read the 1st reply and laughed so hard realizing you didn’t call him “Miss” no, you said you”miss” him . @luciferiexcelsi3284 8 років тому +11

      Youve probably never been more wrong about anything in your life. Vick is absolutely not the greatest Falcon of all time, since hes not even our greatest QB of all time. Your criteria isnt based on anything factual and is probably black on black bias.
      Both Vick and Ryan have gone equally as far in the playoffs, both losing in the NFCCG. Vick has exactly one more playoff win than Ryan. Ryan has the highest qb rating in a championship game in NFL history. Vick had a 58 qb rating in his one championship game appearance.
      Ryan has 5 straight 4000 yard seasons, 4 straight 4500 yard seasons. Something Vick hasnt done once.
      Ryan only has one season in his entire career, his second year, with under 60% completions, something Vick has only done once, when he wasnt a Falcon.
      Matt Ryan is 80-59 in his career with a 92.3 career qb rating.
      Mike Vick was 63-54-1 in his career with an 80 qb rating.
      Vick had 22k passing yards and 6.1k rushing yards totaling just over 28k total yards. Ryan has 35k passing yards.
      Vick has 169 total tds, 133 passing, 36 rushing, in his 15 year career. Matt Ryan has 226 total tds, 221 passing, 5 rushing, in currently his 9th season,
      Vick is 2-2 as a starter and 2-4 in games played in his playoff career with a 77.6 passer rating. When throwing more than 16 times in a playoff game, vick never had a qb rating above 79.
      Matt Ryan is 1-4 in his playoff career with an 85 passer rating. He had a 105 qb rating for the 2012 playoffs.
      Ryan also has 34 gw drives in his career, the most in the NFL since he came into the league.
      Vick has had 12 300 yard passing games in his career. Ryan has had 40.
      You have absolutely no clue what youre talking about. By almost no metric is Vick better than Ryan. Sure Vick could run. but he was mediocre at best as a qb when he was with ATL. Matt Ryan is the best quarterback in Falcons history and its not even remotely close.

    • @terucks
      @terucks 8 років тому +3

      Good point statically, but Mike won more playoffs games than Matty Ice. U forgot to remember they won the divisional in 04 against the rams that lead to them the NFC championship against Philly. As I said before, if matty Ice wins more playoff games, he will be the greatest falcon ever

    • @terucks
      @terucks 8 років тому +3

      Please don't get me wrong ! I love Matty Ice I think he is an elite quarterback top 5 without a doubt! My dad had to debate with me saying he is the worst quarterback because he gave games away and lot of losses he had to endured. But Vick was special he was created lot of first things Falcons had never done except the super bowl. Heck the GA Dome was packed and so much fanfare with him than Matt Ryan. That's what I meant. I want Matty Ice to win more games and win that superbowl

    Vick had very good stats this game but his stats this game don't do justice to how much he dominated in this game. He single handily kept the falcons drives alive over and over again on third down and didn't even really give Farve a fighting chance. Also in almost every key moment in the game where the Packers needed a stop, Vick burned them

This 2002 season,he came outta nowhere and i really thought he was going to lead ATL to that Lombardi, shame he had to run into the Eagles a week later, losing 20-6. smh.

    Mike vick is one of the most clutch QB's. He has had historic comebacks and in my opinion had the best overtime play in history with a 50 yd run going through 2 defenders and winning it. I miss seeing him play, hope he signs that 1day contract with the falcons

    As a Packers fan, it just looked like we weren't prepared to play that day. I will give you that we got beaten pretty bad by the Jets the previous week. So maybe that shook our confidence at the time. Atlanta just played a good game. They were efficient and made the plays they needed. As someone who is in college to be a coach, that is my viewpoint on this game. I am a proud fan but I am an honest fan. We just didn't look ready, not even for Michael Vick, but to even play football that day.

That’s why Al was just so damn informative to all who listened. Thank you Al …. Thank you .

      Not really a lousy roster, it was just depleted. The team linked into the playoffs at the end of the year. Brett Favre looked downright bad in the last few weeks and they were bailed out by their defense. The week 17 thumping by the Jets destroyed their souls. I’d say, despite the worse record, the 2003 team was much better.

    Firing Dan Reeves was a big mistake, at time had been a head coach for 3 Super Bowl teams; more importantly, coached a dual threat QB in John Elway. If Vick didn’t get hurt in the preseason game against Ravens, Reeves would had probably would have coached for more years. On The Herd, Vick admitted, he should have fought for Coach Reeves, and said he was a good coach for him.

  • @gammastation
    @gammastation 6 років тому +1

    Thing about Michael Vick is he could've been great if he kept himself grounded well, in other words, stayed humble(use Joe Montana as an example), but he started feeling he could get away with anything, which is what usually happens to someone in his status. When he got charged with dogfighting, it changed him. After that, he was never the same. If he had stayed humble, he'd know that there was a certain level he could not go beyond. With that said, he could've had better stats than Tom Brady or Drew Brees. When you accomplish great things, you must never lose sight of who you are.
