Flying Turbines is a lot of fun, I now have 3 and I think this Freewing Avanti S V2 is probably my favorite! It really does fly amazing. The little Jetcat P20 powers this Airplane perfectly!

No better feeling than watching something you built fly perfectly
It was amazing !!
The smallest production rc jet turbine is actually made by Lambert (kolibri) from Germany 😉
Flies nice with a jetcat to it seems.. Nice flight 👍
Beautiful Jet!!! Nothing sounds better. Great flying!! Love the way it banks..Didn’t know they cost so much 👍👍
P90 o9 I l0
Instead of trimming all the way up, assign the turbine to a switch. Flip the switch, slide the throttle...easy peasy. Also allows faster shutdown.
Absolutely. Trim up/down is from way back in the days. Switch is way safer as you say especially for emergency shutdown.
Excellent video. I have two Avanti 80mm, V1 & V2. Can't quit afford to upgrade my little red Barron at the moment, but what a handful with that P-20!
SWEET! Love my Avanti. Better tape the hinge lines! Watch out for servos and control arms pulling out. They don't remove the paint to glue. The servos are metal shafts and the screws can fall out because there is no threadlock. If you have the flaps move all the way down, the servos can stall and stop moving. They will reset on their own. I wish the elevator linkage was aligned straight to avoid unnecessary elevator hinge stress. The left flap servo is still in the wrong place from a mistake in the original 2017 design. The V2 has the front strut a bit shorter and for grass should have been a bit longer. Smaller main wheels can help, but not as good on grass. Of course for us bush pilots, the front strut support is a must have.
Lambert kolbri T15 is the smallest turbine engine 👍🏼
Woaaaah, googling that now. Thanks!!!
Was gonna comment this myself.
Jay, beautiful flying Ace… That’s sweet…
Outstanding, she looks and sounds beautiful in the air. Makes me want to jump on that turbine bandwagon. 😅
haha
Lol I did it. And got 2 more pretty quick. It’s addicting 💰
@@Jays_rcgarage and that's why I have not yet! I'd be living on the streets with Turbine RC Jets though LOL. The addiction is real.
I have an avanti s v2 myself, best flying jet I’ve ever owned or flown! Highly recommend for anyone!
🔥
Been flying micro turbine foamies for 6 years and I was far from the first, but welcome to the club
The excitement is real!! Good job bro!
É muito realista. Eu iria adorar ter um. Meus parabéns.
Wow thats amazing. The exhaust temp is really high, I'm surprised it doesn't melt even with reflective tape.
Surprised me at first too. But it works 👍🏼
venturi effect brings cold air inside the fuz and outside the thrust tube. Keeps everything cool
I'm baffled as to why you didn't have three different rates set up before you took off?
I’m sure he also doesn’t have ama, a turbine waiver or electric brakes.
Instead of turning the travel down in your transmitter, you should move the linkages in on the servo arms. Decreasing the travel in your transmitter hurts its resolution and the positioning accuracy of the control surfaces.
Turbine rc sounds too good
That they flies beautifully 🤩
That thing sounds CRAZYY🔥🔥🔥
Man this guy is so helpful
BEAUTIFUL FLIGHT!😮
That sounded like the bendix clutch on the starter making the noise.
Nice job! I thought turbine powered planes required brakes. Will you be adding brakes?
Awesome! That is very cool. I like it.
Nice jet Jay🔥
The Lambart T15 is the smallest model turbine. With a weight of only 200 grams and making 15N of thrust turning a cool quarter million rpm at wot.
That's crazy I have nitro rcs but these jets are wild
Also why are you using trim up??? Simply assign trim to a switch? Makes startup and shut down simplified and makes much quicker emergency shutdown should it be needed.
So cool!
Love it I just can’t afford a Rc plane
Should have used a Xicoy x45, over double the power, same weight, better throttle response etc.
Have a K45 in my F22. May get a X45 for a plane. Won’t be this though lol
Awesome!
Nice video. Could you tell me what kind of flight times you can get with these kinds of conversions ?
There getting around 6-7 minutes
I thought the Kolibri T25 was smaller. How about the Xicoy X45?
You are right. Lambert Kolibri T-15 until T-35 is a bit smaller and lighter (length 150mm / P20 171mm Diameter 55mm / P20: 60mm. Weights (engine only) 255g (T-15) until 270g (T-35) Jetcat P20: 350 gramms)
Xicoy X45 is as well a bit bigger (length / diameter: 165mm / 59,8mm, 395 grams engine, only)
Good comparison between T-25HP and P20: ua-cam.com/video/GkH_ezJU6Hg/v-deo.html
finally so happpy too see it fly im trying to find one to buy
Definitely cheaper to find one built already 🤝
i cant find any new or used do you know where i can find one?@@Jays_rcgarage
Yo it’s looking good
The aluminum around the engine may short out the plug
I found this out recently with the kingtech in my f22 lol....
I'm confused I heard him say fuel tank are they not electric?
I have two jetcats currently
P20? What size. Curious what I’ll get hit on this repair 💰
@@Jays_rcgarage never had one that small. I have a P70 and a P120 currently.
What Best❤
video suggestion: review a cheap rc plane under 50 dollars
The only "airplane" you can get for under 50$ is a 2 channel glider with no control surfaces
Hi im trying to get into flying and i cant get any planes i bought to fly
What’s going on with them?
