I love watching you flying your FPV plane or the MiG29 or the super huge one with the pilots head moving. You will always be my #1 rc plane channel until the end of time Jay. Keep the good work up
I started flying with that Amazon yellow G-ncup and I thought it worked pretty well as a trainer for beginners. Now I'm on the FMS 1300mm PA18 super cub
Thanks for putting me on the SMC lipos. Ordered my first ones today and they shipped same day! Just got my first plane FMS Ranger 1220. Hope the 2200 high voltage isn't too much 😅
I’m starting my rc plane collection and hobby. I’ve started with a toy grade and I’m going to master flying that one. Any idea what I should do next? Any reasonable budget.
you said that the yellow piper cub is a really not the best choice. The gear are not aerodynamic and that is because I took them off and it without the gear, it flys like a UMX timber. so, I recommend trying this out. Also, it can fly quite fast (for a toy grage), I never expected that speed from a toy grade plane.
I really need your help. When I was really young I always wanted an airliner. I mastered the mini twin otter the apprentice mini s and the champ do you think I’m ready for the al37 I already purchased decals I wanna buy the plane but I want your advice,
The AL37 is a little tricky.. I would start with a smaller EDF Jet and work your way up to that. You need to fly something that has Flaps and Retracts!
@@Jays_rcgarage I already bought it so I really don’t know what to do now lol I can’t cancel it either. What would you reccomend? I mean I’ve flown the umx citation before so I think I can fly it but I want to know what you would do
@@Jays_rcgarage do you think I should get an the viper v2 or head straight to the al37 because I already bough the 737 I just don’t know if I should fly it and waste all my money or get a step below it
Hello, I love your videos! I also love RC planes, but I keep losing them as they get blown away in the wind. Do you have any tips for flying in windy conditions?
Smaller plane that don't use powerful batteries (1-2s) typically don't do good in wind. Wait for calm days or pick up some bigger more powerful planes! 😎
Well I am a lousy pilot even on Flight Simulator so I would need something that is easy to land, that sustains minimal damage on a hard landing. I am thinking ducted fan (no propellor to break) and no wheels to break.
Guy's i want to buy my first rc plane and i think i want to get like a cub or a cessna 172 but should i get a toy one or a ready to fly one for me who has a football field sized garden ? 🤔
I tried flying my p51 today and the protection propeller broke mid air and flew into a tree while my plane nose dived into the snow. I had to shake the tree for a good 10 minute to get it down.
I strongly disagree with you on the Yellow Piper Cub at 2:09. I flew thar thing flawlessly. You have to center everything first and put the control rods on the correct control surfaces holder. That plane has long wings, is large, and SHOULD NOT be flown in a small backyard like yours. Plus, you do crash a lot. Yes I watch all your videos lol
The worst advice for beginners. I agree with some of his descriptions of some items but turbine jets shouldn’t even be suggested to rank beginners . C’mon, is this joker serious??!!!
This video really took out a lot of the guesswork for someone getting into the hobby. Jolly, good show and hats off to you, my good sir 🙌

I have a few toy grade, a few RTF's, lots of Hobby Grade, tons of DIY Flite Test planes, and most of the UMX planes.
Wow, this was a great video and I learned a lot. All the brands and models were confusing but I got a lot out of all your work.
I’m getting the ready to fly Cessna 182. For Christmas I’m so excited!

This is a great flight video. Your plane is fantastic.

Good video! I'm sure this will help lots of people. Great job

I'm trying to get better at the talking thing.😂 You do it well
I have been watching your channel for awhile and I really like it. Great content. Do you sometimes build your own planes from scratch?
Nice video this is very helpful, what is your favourtite but reasonabley priced rc plane iam looking for around 1700mm?
Hello jay,

Anything RTF from FMS like the Ranger or Horizon Hobby like the RTF Apprentice. Unless you want to skip the RTF step and grab a programmable remote!

Quick question, are styrofoam planes a good starter?
for planes that have their motors on their wing, is it better to place them at the front or the back of the wing?
I’ve got an idea maybe try and make the AN-225
…
Nice

XFLY? Heard good things about it. Easy on the elevator and keep the power on until you are high up! Than you can feel it out 😁
@@Jays_rcgarage ye it's xfly but I'm just worried about. Landing
@TropicalChickenAviationEdits when landing lower speed carefully . Try to learn in the grass so if you do crash not as much damage will happen

Just a word of advice for someone who got in neck deep a few years back. Beware of this hobby can be a real money pit, ESPECIALLY helis!!
To be fair, most hobby’s are. I have a few, motorcycles, cars.. the RC is most definitely expensive. But it is the cheaper of the bunch lol
