ua-cam.com/video/5Dgp7f_EwXo/v-deo.htmlsi=LeAYlfVfa8tUy-IO I recorded this video going on 24 years ago of NS Train 40T with 100 cars in tow from Eldred to Emporium. This is how i remember railroads before PSR. I am not a fan of PSR in any form at all whether on a Class One railroad or shortline or regional railroad, 15,000 to 18,000 feet trains are just not safe the way i look at it. This is my opinion and i am sure others feel the same way. Hope everyone enjoys the video!
I also enjoy the videos you post i appreciate the hard work you put into these! 👍 As a shortline locomotive railroad engineer and a railfan it is sad to see what is going on the WNY&P Railroad, i have a video posted on my UA-cam channel of a NS Southbound train i chased over 20 years ago from Eldred to Emporium, two locomotives up front and two on the tail end pushing. Too bad the owner of the Rock Island Rail doesn't own this railroad, instead of downsizing the railroad, the railroad would be growing! Just my thoughts and opinion, thanks again for the videos you post i enjoy watching them in Texas where i live!
Thank you for watching! Im glad you enjoyed the video, we love having comments like yours! I would love to see the video of that NS train, would you mind putting a link so we can watch it? We also would love to see this railroad grow, but as per usual the railroad industry up there is only going to get smaller. Once again, thank you for watching!
ELS uis pulling 100 loads cars every couple days from Michigan down to Green Bay, they need more power, their engines are getting very old.@@loganfrey4968
It literally seems like yesterday WNYP received those GE’s. Also, I don’t really like the decisions that new CEO is making, sounds like he’s breaking something that isn’t broke, but I’m just a railfan that can’t do anything so
One engineer's comment I saw said it best... "Businesses are there for ONE reason- customers. Shareholders are just along for the ride. If the shareholders aren't happy with their stock values, they should move on elsewhere."
Rumor has it they keep stalling out on the Keating Summit Grade and with them abandoning from Port Allegany to Driftwood they don’t need them because the Keating Summit Grade is in between those two locations. They are going back to Progress Rail
@@Railfan814 Right, presumably the grade isnt profitable anymore for just the one customer. Im going back up in June to document the line from Emporium to Driftwood in case they decide to rip it out. We purchsed some conrail slides from Driftwood aswell, i will post them on my community tab if you would like.
@@blueridgerails Awesome! My house is right there by Milepost 115 just before the grade. It’s sad how such a busy line back in the 90s is becoming a big piece of junk rail at a rapid speed. A engineer for the railroad told me another company bought the yard in Emporium so I don’t know if they are ripping out that track or not.
@@blueridgerails How could they rip that track out though? They don't even own it. It's all on lease from Norfolk Southern. (I'm actually legitimately wondering if it's possible or not?)

Such an amazing video! Thanks for sharing the link, I will pin your comment.
@@blueridgerails thank you, I appreciate it! 👍
Powerful video.
Thank you, Drayton!
An unloaded center-beam as the first car? Way to live dangerously!
Jusy one probably wont be a huge problem, but definitely a dangerous move!
This is so underrated
Thank you!
No problem
Awesome job Nathan thanks for putting it together
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed.

Great Video! A shame those AC6000s will be going away.
Thank you! It definitely is.
The ex BNSF GE Dash 940CW had a Leslie air horn, maybe S3L, RS3L,nice video, grainer was booking, nice looking GEs and video!🛤🚂
Thank you! Those have RS3L horns.
Very nice bud.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Hurts as Pennsylvania native seeing WNYP downsizing especially operating on the once might PRR Buffalo Line.
Even from NC, it hurts us too.
I know of a couple Short Line Railroads in Upper Michigan who would probably buy them, check with the ELS RR. Thanks you great video.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed! They need a good home.
lol, I'm pretty sure there's no spots on ELS's system that would handle that heavy of power

Nice engines!
Definitely!
EMD power💪🏻🚂
Yep!
RIP WNYP as we know it
Sadly.
I have family from Youngsville, PA. Does the Pittsburgh & Buffalo operate the line heading west out of Warren, PA that goes through Youngsville?
Yes, BPRR operates the line fron Johnsonburg-Warren-Erie
Awesome dude! Had a great time with ya. Got to be honest you are the coolest kid I know, thanks for not being an Ipad foamer lmao
Thank you! We had a great time aswell, so glad we got to meet you guys!

It definitely does, just five years or so. These changes in my opinion are from a shareholder standpoint and not customer growth.
@@blueridgerails seems that way to me as well

It Really Makes No Sense To Get Rid Of The Big 6 Axle GEs On The Western New York & Pennsylvania
Once the railroad is cut into smaller pieces, the big power wont be necessary.
