I have a set of Storm, Storm Max and the Go. The Storm are my summer, no boot go to, Go is my winter boot fit and the Storm Max are for when I need the extra propulsion. Awesome fins, all of them!!
Mr Mac, Thanks for the great input... many of us have different fins for different applications, like what you described. Thanks Bob C
It would be great to specify the buoyancy of each fin model. Based on my experience: the Avanti Quattro is a soft fin, slightly negatively buoyant. Many of my diver friends like it a lot, but I find it soft and not powerful enough. The RK3 is a very soft fin, not powerful at all when you need to kick. It's nice for control but lacks power. The Oceanic Manta is my favorite fin; it's an all-in-one honestly. They are powerful, easy to control, and neutral to slightly positively buoyant. They have a tremendous kick in the current. I should note that this is my personal experience in the Red Sea, so it could vary according to the different salinity levels of the water
Great info on your fin choices Frederico. Regards Bob C
Hi Bob. With all the Different Stiffnesses, Length's, How do you know what to buy? I go to my Local Shop he only has couple of different ones to look at. I went out on a limb and ordered Sherwood Elite Fins. In Both Scuba and Snorkel styles. They work fine for me. Then I Tried a SEAC FP100(I think). Narrower and Stiffer. Caused me to get Blisters on my feet. Obviously I don't use them much.

Just a point of clarification. You are referring to the Go Sport and the Go Sport Gorilla which is not the Go fin which is a barefoot fin.The Go Sport Gorilla is designed to be stiffer and is approved for public service diving.
Yes, there are actually three different fin models as you said. Barefoot, Bootie version and Stiffer Bootie version.
what about the original storm fin that you can wear barefoot, I thought it was very comparable to the go travel. That storm looks like the new storm max to be worn with a boot.
I'll need to do a barefoot comparo at some point... Good comment. Bob C
Is that a storm or a storm Max? Big difference
This is a Storm Max, the Storm is more of a bare-foot fin and has the little plastic springy things and are much smaller size for size.
Think the Title says Storm Max vs the Thumbnail. Thanks for the note Bob C
No tusa travel rights to compare
Not yet still waiting on them... Thanks for asking ! Bob C
Hi Bob, what do you think of the Apex RK3 fins? I thought they would be a suitable addition to the video if you had any to hand. While I'm not a tech diver, I bought them for recreational use and I love them. They are pretty powerful, compact (albeit), allow me to swim with minimal effort and even let me swim against current fairly easily.
Alistair, What do I think, I like them a lot and I own a pair of Orange ones in Super. They're a bit heavier @ 2.8 than my GOs, but are the same length @ 22". I have a small collection of fins; RK3s, Novas, Xtremes, and GOs. All purchased with my $.
- I like them because they are short and powerful when I need it. Thanks for your note. Bob C
What about the ScubaPro Go Sport regular and Gorilla versions?
I personally am nota big barefoot fin guy... Mine are GO-Rillas..
