Yeah I found out a dog I picked up off of Facebook was a coydog. Now I know why they couldn't handle him. He was a literal sack of bones when I rescued him. I only now he is one because of his vocalizations, coat, markings and he looks JUST LIKE HER but is silvered. I named him Artorias the Wolf Knigh, from Dark Souls. Cause we really did have to save him from the abyss. He weighed like 20 lbs when we got him, he supossed to weigh about 70is, he is crossed with malamute. He is tame but I wouldn't say he is completely domesticated. He has to be outside most of the day or he goes freaking nuts.
@@TAPSMedia he is so intuitive to human emotions. We're training him up as a service dog. After his neuter he had the right kind of attitude for it. We figured since he was across we was probably sterile anyways, amd I didnt want to have coydog puppies and be super choosy about who they went to, so that people did t do the same thing to his babies that happened to him. He has learned to help me out of the bath, he has learned to signal to me for when I need my meds, he is learning to gran things like my heat pack and pill bottles. I wanted to post a video on him on my channel but I dont want people to get the wrong idea, because he is 2 years old and was starved his whole life and has a hard time gaining weight. He can eat 8 cups of food a day easy and he still isnt at his proper weight after a year. Any tips?? I'm super worried about his bone development and density. His teeth are loose n shit. I worry about him, but he seems happy, and he seems well.
Kevin RAAAMAGE same with Mila! Very intuitive and reacts to human emotion. It’s really interesting to watch and beyond affectionate as well. Best dog there is
@@KevinRAAMAAAGE Its cool that you have a coydog. They are truly smart and inquisitive creatures! Unfortunately, Service dogs cannot have any wolf or coyote content. Hence the name service DOG. It is in the ADA ( Americans with disabilities act). I know this because I am an animal trainer, who will also work with and train service dogs. Just thought I would tell you, so you can avoid a fine and possible imprisonment.
@@emilycarr1644 well they'll only know if I tell them. There is only one lab in whole country that can test for it. He doesnt show any of the posturing or cackling unless hes being attacked. That's the only time I've seen him do it, and I've had him almost a year. The trainers I've gone through can't even tell, and I only found out three months into owning him when I was told. So I'll doubt they'll notice. Right now he's being trained to walk along side me on horseback and leaves the horses alone, and is even protective over them. I know people who's dogs turn into slobbering, aggressive, monsters when they see horses. I appreciate the tip, but I'll take my chances. I actually need my dog, I don't really care if others think he is capable for me, nobody else gets to decide the dog that cares for me more than people have. I can guarantee he is more well trained than most dogs, he is super attentive and has taught himself to keep me from self harming and signaling me when I have a flare up. He was trained to be obedient, but we didnt teach him to keep me from hurting myself or him telling me I need medical attention. They arent trained to have that, it's a gift. What he has going for him isnt an opinion, it's a fact he can do those things.
I have a 1 year old Coydog pup. Mine has the hair color/texture of a coyote. Lean and agile. Very stubborn and independent. My other dog is a 3 year old Carolina Dog/German Shepherd mix. She keeps him in line. They're a perfect couple. She'll go find him when I tell her to and bring him to me. He's an adventurous guy. She's a homebody. Both are free range, rural dogs. They are very friendly and love to play.
I have a stray that I've had since Christmas eve 2023. I found her trying to run onto the Escenica (the two-lane highway running north and south along the coast of Baja, Mexico). The highway is super dangerous because people go so fast, and this dog was trying to run out on it. I saw her come very close to getting hit as I approached her. I had to get this dog who was obviously not very old (although not a puppy) and very, VERY scared off the highway. Two other people ended up pulling over to help and she was so exhausted, she eventually just laid down and gave up, and I just picked her up and put her in my car. I called her Mila, short for Milagro (the Spanish word for miracle). She ended up bonding to me over the next week or two. She is VERY strongly bonded to me. She goes everywhere with me. She will not stay in a room I'm not in. She loves my daughter and my daughter's dad, but she always has to be where I am. She is extremely sweet and not aggressive, but she has some behavior, mannerisms, and looks that I, as an owner of several dogs throughout my life, found just a little different. Anyway, I'm fairly certain she is a coydog or some mix of coydog/dogote and dog. It was crazy to find this video about Mila the white coydog because my Mila is white, too. I think it was a sign from the universe that I'm on the right track. 🥰 I think I will go ahead and get her DNA tested... just for the fun of it. I love her and we're keeping her no matter what she is.
Canid hybrids always amaze me. Coydogs vary in appearance depending on the dog breed a true coyote mates. I wonder what a coydog of a true coyote and a Turkish kangal would look like.
I have just discovered/realized that the three month old shelter puppy I was told was a Husky/German Shepherd is actually a Husky/Coyote (eight months old at this writing). It's the only thing that explains 1) the most unusual almost human "eyes", 2) how incredibly smart and alert she is, 3) why packs of regular dogs converge to chase her as soon as we get to the dog park, 4) why everyone is mesmerized by her and 5) how she can just run and run, more than any Husky she encounters. She is the most unique and most intelligent dog I have ever had and videos I find of coydogs look almost exactly like her and behave the same way, i.e. "denning", etc. She looks just like this, with the exception of more dark back fur and blue/almost white eyes. This realization made me understand why she can be so "wild" and mouthy, which helps me appreciate her. Even as a three month old puppy, she fearlessly wrestled with grown German Shepherds and Dobermans. She's pretty much as flexible as a cat, which I have never seen on a dog. She's incredible.
I'm pretty sure I have 1 that could be her twin.. I haven't been able 2 put my finger on it. Until I saw Mila. I would like to send a picture or short video to someone who could tell me more..???

It’s more of an inside joke my friend 👍🏽
@@TAPSMedia All right. That was just my advice to anyone watching who would rather enjoy the video in silence.
