Fact about Shin Godzilla:
Shin never wanted to destroy or kill anything/anybody
all the radioactive stuff is hurting them, and the body is forcefully evolving, breaking apart and reassembling bones to catch up, and it’s in constant pain. Which is also why it leaves a trail whoever it went.
Shin was roaring in pain, not in rage.
And the lasers where a defensive instinct the body had, they didn’t want it.
And the fire part before turning into a laser was technically the creature puking up Radiation
Shin Godzilla's pain has a tradeoff which it can adapt to anything that would hurt its body and one example is when it was nuked and hit the dorsal plates on its back and Shin immediately developed a countermeasure to it by making its dorsal plates shoot radiation beam. In conclusion, Shin is a type of Zilla that can adapt and counter immediately anything, gladly he was frozen because it would be more terrifying and hard to stop Shin if he would evolve further to his other forms.
So, basically it's like Titanosaurus getting controlled even though they were good?
He is just an animal, he doesn't know anything happening to him. His genes are protecting him from anything happening
Aint no way you just called a fucking animal A they😭😭😭

You gotta say that the design of this Godzilla is terrifying but also realistic. Everything about it screams “in constant agony.” Even the fish eyes weren’t just for looks, but prob for the reason that it lives in deep shallow waters.

Shin Godzilla is literally a pain incarnate, he was a normal animal who turned into this disgusting thing that resembled a Godzilla by horrific deformities and mutations. His blood is constantly boiling and he feels all of it but it incapable of expressing his pain because his deformities and mutations. It wasn't even trying to hurt anyone in the movie, it was just mindlessly stumbling through the city waiting for it all to end. His atomic breath wasn't even an actual weapon, he was just using it to his advantage to stop missiles from hitting him and the actual atomic breath was him throwing up radiation because his organs were literally burning. It pains the poor thing to even exist because it knows what it has become and that it has no option other than wait for it to end, but it never will end due to its healing that makes it near immortal. Since he is quite literally made up entirely of deformities caused by the radiation by the time he gets to form 4, simply moving at all puts him in total agony which he wasn't able to express because it couldn't even cry or at very least look sad, because it's face was coated in a thick layer of growths that fixed it into the shape of a disgusting grin when looked at from the front. It was never actually evolving throughout the movie either, it was growing major malformations that twisted its body to the point were it because an unrecognisable monster, and he could feel everything that happened to him whenever he "evolved".
Tell al the 2 yos that, that say GODZILLA WANTS TO DESTROY AND FREEZES ITSSELF TO HIDE
I ain't reading allat
"Simply moving at all puts him in total agony," what I found most profound about it is how stiffly he moves his body at this point and how perfectly it's represented. It's a very realistic interpretation, - for real world example, I am put into my own total body pain like this and quite literally walk with the same exacerbated degree of stiffness. I can barely move my legs, and nothing else when it gets really bad. [Dont feel sorry for me, I just wanted to express how amazing and thoughtful their representation of pain is, and how readable they made it just from looking at him, despite his lack of expression] I can't help but also wonder if his joints have locked and become unmovable, from possibly fusing together??

I like how it’s evolving, every evolution of shin is in fact a rapid change to survive. The gills leaking blood when it came on land was its way of cooling itself but on land, it was suffocating, which is why it moved so sporadically. So it evolved to stand up but lost its ability to cool itself that’s why it runs off to the ocean.

I would call Shin Godzilla more of Sad than Evil because of the song “Who Will Know” and people only thinking Shin is evil when he isn’t. More of a mindless beast like a Zombie that thinks his monster like existence is pure pain. it is just a creature that only wants to reproduce and not knowing the destruction he is doing. I think Shin Godzilla relates to that one kid in school that gets bullied multiple times for no reason and the bully is humanity itself because of atomic bombings, nuclear waste, etc and the atomic breath of Shin Godzilla and his fire was just an act of self defence.
But still, I love all Godzillas good or evil.

The fact that it can just evolve immediately when faced with adversity is amazing. And for it to be ready to evolve into human-like creatures before they fully froze it is just so horrifying its brilliant. 10/10 Best Godzilla movie
I also love the ending because it's actally inspiring. The Monster adapts to improve its form and it was forced to change from a powerful beast into somthing humanoid because even it knew the near perfection humanity was I I evolutionary stand point. A species that could kill anything else 'superior' to it. Humanity even has and continued to fight aganst itself not just in violence but in fields like economics, technology, politics and more. A continuous arms race that surly shin godzilla recognized and wanted a part of that band wagon. Why be a sharp clawed tiger when a man in a spear could end you? Why bother being a ~400ft monster when you be crazy-balls of iron species turned your own biology against you and froze you to death.

Just a proper big scary-looking monster that needs to go down.
He's right
There was no evil scientist in Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island and KOTM. The first film literally had no villains at all. KSI had the *MOTHERFUCKIN* Samuel L Jackson play as an evil general/hunter. KOTM had an eco-terrorist as a villain. GVK kiiinda had a scientist/technological CEO as a villain. The love plot in 2014 was barely significant to the plot…..it just showed a wife concerned for her husband’s absence. KSI had a very small love plot which wasn’t even a love plot at all. It was just James and Mason bonding with each other. KOTM literally showed relationship and trust issues between Emma and Mark which was weaving its way to being solved but ended up with Emma sacrificing herself. GVK barely had any love plot at all, well except Godzilla and Kong becoming best mates at the end. The center of the Earth “bullshit” was barely impactful in the other films. Sure it was hinted at, but they never went to the Hollow Earth until GVK finally showed the place.

I disagree. The previous Godzilla movies have worldbuilding while this one didnt

Shrugged off getting hit by 80 tanks at once. Unless he's offended by brrrrts I think he'd be just fine.
It was indeed a good movie.
They must certainly have seen that the tail was starting to make new humans/zilla hybrids after it got frozen.
I'f I'm not wrong the epilogue had them even talking about the Zilla popsicle having to be costantly kept under that temperature because if not it would start moving again.
There was talk about a sequel but it looks like the hollywood version took priority or made the japanese project stop, that I find is a shame.
I actually thought it was because the guy who made it went and Finished his anime movie series Rebuild of Evangelion. He was going to come back to this after.
@@The.Frumious.Bandersnatch Is he coming back?
That IS a shame. Would have loved to see shin further evolve into true godhood
This movie is hot garbage
I think there was a lot of concept art for future evolutions where he eventually becomes a universe, unless I'm remembering that wrong?

Get out while you can. I’m weeks in and too far gone but you can still save yourself
IDK why didn't this godzilla blow up, This is a fantastic movie...
He went thru years of evolution in hours
It did, a bit after as we are seeing recently
Yeah this is great
It is a good movie if you can tolerate all the dialog. There is an excessive amount of dialogue. This is to some extent intentional as it seemed to be a bit of a parody about how the Japanese over deliberate on things and can sometimes overthink things. If you could trim down about a half hour or 45 minutes of this movie it would be even better. Basically remove some of the boardroom meeting stuff and you would have an absolute Blockbuster that is more streamlined for American audiences.
It did blow up in Japan. It was the highest grossing Godzilla film next to the 1962 King Kong vs Godzilla.
Baby to a kid to a teenage to a adoult to a ice statue
Lol
He became a graveyard itself
IT WAS SO GOOD
This version of Godzilla seemed the most like a true monster. Such a good movie. On one hand a sequel would be cool but i think it would be best as a stand alone movie. The original 1954 Godzilla was a metaphor for the horror of nuclear war. This Godzilla i think is a metaphor for the Japanese governments slow response to the 2011 Tsunami and nuclear meltdown.
I mean, it was a satirical movie about the government's indecisiveness
There might be a sequel since a new Godzilla movie coming in 2023 is gonna be made by Toho who also made shin Godzilla.
When other Godzilla's Nuclear Breath is either a blast or something alike. Shin just goes full flamethrower and then goes fuckin beaming on those people
I thought nuclear plasma beam was standard.
Dude ... this poor thing makes me cry. They starts as a normal fish but because of nuclear exposure it has deformed, everyone sees him as a threat. But this.. Is pure innocent....
Humanity is really powerful
One of my favorite Godzilla movies! A unique and detailed take on his evolution. When he first comes on land you see the word ALPHA (beginning form) on one of the boats. After he destroys the stealth bombers and decimates the city, you see オメガ (Japanese for Omega or end form) burned into the side of a building I believe. Additionally, the score ( Who Will Know) playing as he decimates city and bombers, is poetically perfect for the scene and is from the creature’s perspective. “ A shaft of light is all I need, to cease the darkness killing me.” Stealth Bombers are of course black ( darkness) and shaft of light is his beam. Perfectly placed theme!!!! Great movie!!
It was ok at best.
Godzila 2019: Am gonna kill those moutos and looks like a badass
Shin Godzilla: Am suffering please end my misery, I don't even know who I am, Where am.
XD
🤣🤣🤣
Doesn’t make any sense but ur comment is still funny 🤣
@@JustMatheus How doesn't it?
*2014
one of the best installments of the Godzilla universe, stoked for Godzilla: Minus One.
This movie is actually not about giant monster but rather a metaphor of Japan's socio political situation. Here Godzilla is a symbol of catastrophic event perticularly pointed towards the recent Fukushima nuclear disaster and the Japanese government's inability to handle the situation.
9:50, gotta love the fact that Shin actually closed its eyes before the impact
And peeps...ya gotta find the first blast along with its music...hauntingly beautiful and terrifying
Shin doesn’t close it’s eyes its a form of protection for it’s eyes when it does it’s atomic breath (for example).
Is it real
Nah bro it’s the reflection of the bombs
