    I'm American and I thank God that the British are our allies. The SAS is incredible. (actually all the British special forces are) If history has taught us anything its dont #@$# with the Brits!(Agincourt, Trafalgar, TheSpanish armada? Need I go on?) Aside from their terrifyingly proficient special forces they also gave the world some of the best music(and beer) out there. Cheers to our British allies. May we be allies for centuries to come.

      @ Not really. Fuck Rifkind and his entire extended family but the HK police seem to have done an amazing job in being able to prevent the PLA from having to just roll over that island. Guys, this is not their normal kit, they don't have one,. This is called the Black kit. It specialises in Counter-Terrorism operations, CQB, and hostages. The SAS have different kits for different operations.

    • @taiwandxt6493
      @taiwandxt6493 5 років тому

      As seen on TV no doubt, the Hell is the training that's personal training selection is the hardest thing any individual will ever be put through if you don't really really want it don't even bother. Escape and evasion is a exercise on the abilities of the individual in a survival scenario were you have to survive 24 hrs without food and try to evade non friendly combatants if you are captured you will be imprisoned and questioned the UK does not do torture but as a captured escapee you will without doubt be sleep depreciated and physically exhausted it doesn't take much to push the prisoner just that little bit more.

      Watch the rest of the documentary. They are trained to be in rooms with flashbangs so it has little effect on them. That combined with the filters on the eye parts of the gasmask reduce the effect of a flashbang a lot. Its more the surprise of one which distracts you, but if you have been in a room with one hundreds of times it will barely effect you. Thats why they run in at the same time.

    • @ReddoX30
      @ReddoX30 7 років тому +6

      It's more efficient that way. If you throw the flashbang, let it go off, then enter the room, you give the enemy time to react.
      By going in with the flashbang, you don't give them time to react.

All are certified Medical, Demolition, Rifleman personnel so incase all other SEALs in a squad or group die, the survivor can still get the job done

    @OlderG0ds Do keep in mind when we went into Afghanistan 1 Spec ops team had a Seal Officer commanding his team and a SAS team. and no that Seal team wasn't DEVGRU. further proof that Seal's are not less then the RM lol.. which is just a silly Idea to think. the Closet thing the RM is to any American unit is that of the Recon Marines or Army Rangers after all the Army Rangers came from the Royal Marines.

    @BeefyStoner JTF2 may be "new" but it was started back in the second world war just like the SAS, under the name devils brigade then it was disbanded untill 1993 they were bright back as JTF2 with anti smuggleing in mind and following the sept.11 events they became anti terrorisim. they were assisted by the SAS in there early stages but soon became better, plus they have an assortment of units and are able to adapt to ANY situation not just anti terrorisim. every member is trained for combat

    I don't know what other Yanks have said about the SAS, but the SAS, starting with Lt. Col. Stirling in WWII are THE modern commandos and have trained virtually all other commando forces in the free world. This includes US Navy SeALs, US Army Green Berets and Delta Force, and others. Over the decades, these and other groups have developed their own style and continue to train with other nations' spec forces. But the origins were Brits.

    Thats like saying the British didn't invent the first tank, the Italians did. Leonardo Da vinci made a arrowproof shell but it was never used in warfare and designed 500 years before the British Tank.
