Do you always blow dry it before? I want to use as little heat as possible but have a harder time getting that sleek look without blow drying a little bit

Great question Emily I do not blow dry my sons hair at all . We wash ,detangle, air dry, condition(moisturize), then braid . The Sleekness depends on the product you use .🖤

After about 2-3 weeks of wearing style , we take hair down , wash & de tangle wear his natural Afro or bun for a few days then back In Braids .
