I wonder if I could make a suggestion - make a teeny-weeny little red or International Orange tassle for the head of the little sheath. That way if you ever drop it amongst other woody sort of things you will be able to see it and not wonder where the hell it's got to.
I know this was 3 years ago but 😮, if your still about on UA-cam might you 🤔 be able to help ?? The blade that you used for this kolrosing build, did you buy it or make it from an old spade/ flat drill bit ?? Also what angle would you put on the blade ?? I would guess an equal grind on each side, Straight grind or do you put a secondary bevel on the blade ?? Hope you can help 🙏 Cheers Les.
Just found your videos. Very nice. I look forward to watching more as you put them out. I was hoping to see a full build. Can you tell me what steel you used for the blade, what is the diameter of the steel and what is the angle of the blade? I would like to make one of these, but haven’t been able to find a lot of information.
Hi Rich, thanks for watching. Many more vids in the pipeline. I can't take credit for the blade. I should have made it mayself as it is not difficult but I already had this blade from Hewn & hone a British manufacturer. It is forged bearing steel, 6.3mm wide stock forged to 10mm wide blade. These measurements aren't that important. There are many different blade designs out there. You need something easy to control & sharpen, wide stock with a fine edge & small & shaped so it doesn't cut too deeply.
Another beautiful video.
Nice to know that you now own something that is _totally unique_ !

Amazing tutorial, clear & informative instruction. Thank you
Toppen!Thank you🎉
Excellent handle build :), My partner uses a pyro iron for wood decoration or a small knife, that blade looks worth getting :)
Thank you. I use pyrography sometimes as well depending on the product. The blade is really good & pretty cheap as well.
Nice job 👍 I gotta admit a project like this always reminds me of how dirty my mind is 🤣
Your mind must be deep in the gutter to find dirt here ;-)
Chum - you're _nuts_ !

Cost you £23 if my research is correct...
