      Search on "Sprite lightning" on YT -- you'll turn up some neat videos. Some of the first pics were taken by an astronaut who was killed when Columbia broke up on re-entry. It's an incredible, sobering story.

      And then she says that we should send out signals because she believes that aliens are good. No observational data, no reliable and repeatable experiments, just a belief. And that does not have any relevance I have to agree:D

      @@raspas99 Well, maybe not a belief, but a reasonable assumption. ET has made it way past our current level without destroying itself. For humans, that outcome is still very much in question. Given that, which side would you feel safer with? Rather, I think signaling is kind of naive --to think that they would actually answer. BTW, we've been signaling anyway, ever since the invention of radio.

      @@thzzzt How many, if any, other alien civilizations have they destroyed? Tricky subject, we should be careful and not send out primitive radio signals. It will demonstrate to any hostile creatures our helplessness.

      It's not insane tho. You should watch 'cool worlds' video on why we might alone in the universe. We really don't have any idea how likely life is to start. If it's like 1/10^40 chance then we're probably the only ones in the observable universe. If it's 1/10^10 then there might be a few per galaxy. We just don't know the odds of bio genesis occurring.

      @Evan Koch Seti has recently been checking for laser signatures as well. It's fairly new technology and just a minute section of space has been covered.

      There definitely is already aliens here on earth at this very moment. The Navy UFO is the clearest sign of that. No human has that technology, if Russia or US had that tech they would immediately over power every other power on earth and rule the galaxies. We do not have it as far as we’re concerned.

    Her statements are profound. How we as human beings are still in the infancy stages of progression. (Leading with our ego, wars, famine etc.)
    And that we are all the same, that we are one. Perhaps someday in the distance future, we will all out grow the old egotistical habits and learn to live in peace and compassion. Amazing interview.

    What I'm curious about is that we as a galaxy are rotating like how the Earth rotates around the sun...but if there is advance life on the other side, can we receive that information or are we getting the signal blocked much like going into a elevator or a tunnel with your smartphone
