I feel the same way. There were a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon around that time. Which of course is never the artists fault.
The track he did for the Venom flick is way better as far as hip-hop songs in movie soundtracks go.
I’m surprised how bad “Dirty” sounds today.
I didn’t like it back then because everything about her transformation felt fake. Remember how she started speaking with a rapccent too? 😬
But I remembered the song at least being decent. It’s not 😂 I think pop made a massive shift post Lady Gaga.
Fighter is way better
Check out Wendy Williams talking about Xtina during this era and how she pretended to be black, came to her radio station and asked "dis ma seat?" LMAOO
Had me till the Eminem hate. The song is legendary.
@Buffet Line Thank you. I clicked on this to see what Finn would say about Em. Now I don’t have to watch it.
yeah i dont get it, why is it trendy to hate eminem these days lol. "eminem and rappers like him arent real rap". Such a dumb take.
I meant to post this reply to your comment instead of another person's: While it's not anywhere near my favorite hip hop songs, Lose Yourself could be argued to be the greatest hip hop song of all time. Not because it's the absolute pinnacle of wordsmithing or anything, but because of the way it blends technicality, story telling, and accessibility so perfectly. Very few songs have ever been able to pull that off.
This guy might have the worst taste in music ever. He problaly has a children of bodom tattoo on his lower back
@@RCmetal11 because he's overrated
Damn! That Missy Elliott did hold up well. Shit's fun.
aaah these videos make me so happy
And the Escape the Fate video is just Van Halen’s Hot for Teacher redone. It’s awesome!
That's the point then steel panther did it
My husband wears fedoras.
I’d like to think he is the first description.😬
Remember. Finn thinks Lose Yourself is a cringe song.
So you're doin pretty good today.
I was born the same day Puddle of Mudd was formed, I'm from the Kansas City area, drummer and singer for my band in high School and we played she hates me... Oh nostalgia... Lol
Every one of these songs still hold up for me, the only exception being Puddle of Mudd because they were never good.
Finn, my brother in Christ. In one sentence you'll praise the name of Suicidal Tendencies, and in the next say that "She fucking Hates Me" sucks as if it isn't THE EXACT SAME SONG as "I Saw Your Mommy" by Sui.
Dying Is Your Latest Fashion still 100% holds up today. The video for Situations? Not so much.
I love Finn’s wildly extreme views.
Jesus that MGMT video made me feel like I was experiencing a bad acid trip
Nooo! How dare you remind me that I've listened to that damn song, "she hates me". I had no business listening to that drivel. Things like this are why I'd like to remove some very cringey memories.
You know Desertfox's grandma was serving throat in her heyday lol
Wow lost a lot of respect after that NF comment. Lol jk but in all seriousness. NF is really good and honestly he has helped a lot of people with depression and other mental health issues. He’s helped me a lot when I’m in a bad place.
I honestly did lose respect for it because he's always talking shit about whites constantly but yet lived a hard life himself? Nah his takes on that just ain't it with NF and token. He clearly lakes an extreme amount of knowledge on these people and general subject.
I met Escape The Fate at a Hot Topic whenever they were on their way to film this video 😂 I sold Ronnie some boots off the clearance rack 🤣🤣🤣
That's awesome
"She Hates Me" is a song that was meant to be a one hit wonder. I know it's not but it makes more sense alongside Nada Surf's "Popular".
Kid rock honestly needs to do emo.
Christina, Xtina, and in this video, Crustyna
no shit, I played bass for my cousin's stoner metal band for a minute and they fucking covered Lose Yourself.... it was pretty much the only song that was fun to play as a bassist
I blame the “dirrty” music video for my current taste in women lol
I miss those types lol
15:06 Is this the kid who plays young JB in Tenacious D? It looks exactly like him. Lose Yourself is a banger Finn!
it really is a good morning, thank you finn!
My football(soccer) team Stoke City come out to the instrumental version of Lose Yourself by Eminem , say no more
"Goddammit that guys cute"- Finn
No one disses dirrty on my watch. Dirrty is S tier Christina.
Lose Yourself is fine and NF is great. Not the best takes from Finn here today.
Edit: just want to say I respect the opinion, and lose yourself is overplayed, but those are hard disagrees from me.
Puddle of Mudd 'She hates me' not bad ol boy's cover of Nirvana's 'About a Girl ' yeah bro, She definitely hates you now! Awesome video Finn,yo I got married 3 months ago finally feel complete. I appreciate ya bruh One Love ❤️🎵✌️🖤💯💯💯♠️
NF is legit tho, NF is the Eminem of Christian music
