They’re referring specifically to her, so I don’t get your point in bringing up a bunch of people. Why you guys think that you're entitled to the investor's money????? They're suppose to give you 280k for the Business you're not fully committed in.
Having risked everything for a business and lost, and looking back at the simple fact that most startups fail, I now think doing so is mad. It's easy to tell people to do that if you're one of the minority who did so and made a fortune. If you haven't yet made your fortune, you don't know if you have the ability to do so.
Their attitudes are excellent. Came in expecting to hate them, but came out thinking they're brighter and more conscientious than most of the people on this show, including the sharks.
Yeah agree 100%
I find it a bit insulting that they all think it's unacceptable for these men to try and give their families a decent life while trying to start their business. "How dare you not risk your marriage, your family, your credit, and your whole life to put every penny back into your fledgling business!"
It's how rich people convince themselves that luck had 0% part in growing their business and convince themselves to stop paying taxes.
Business is business. Let's see you invest $280k to someone that isn't dedicated full time, I'm sure your attitude would change.
They asked for a ridiculous 280k. It’s their part time job/hobby. Never invest in somebody’s hobby.
@@MrJamberee I agree that that asked for an outrageous amount, but it's asinine to hold it against a guy to pay himself a wage from his own business venture, especially when they have a family to support.

@Ego Master I think you're just a dipshit who can't handle the fact these people are 100x more successful than you'll ever be, most of the people are self made, and if you're talking about a loan try and fucking find a business owner of any kind big or small that didn't get a loan from a bank, a friend, or a family member to start out.
@@slowazzd2165
Lots of assumptions there. You don’t even know how successful they are, lol.
I don’t know her story at all, but if she did get propped up by rich parents, then she is indeed pretending she took a risk. And a loan from a bank is different from a “loan” from a family member. Families tend to be a bit nicer about money, at least in my experience, but it really depends on the family.
And most of the people being self-made isn’t what they’re referring to. They’re referring specifically to her, so I don’t get your point in bringing up a bunch of people. Unless by “most of the people” you mean most of the people on this show, then I get your point (as they mention “like most of the people on this show,” not “like most people” in a general sense).
If Ego Master was lying, fair enough. Idk her story or anyone else’s story on this show. And I don’t think it’s bad that people get help or loans or anything. I guarantee you that anyone who had rich parents or whatever would definitely use them to their advantage. They’re just saying she shouldn’t pretend she took a risk (assuming she did pretend, again, I don’t know her story).
And how did Janin manage to eat without a salary for 3 years? She had money coming from elsewhere. Probably the husband. Is she trying to impress us by saying she took no salary when most people need a salary to live?

I'm not familiar with any of the sharks' backstories, but I doubt any of them have ever known real financial struggle.
Most middle class families absolutely can't afford even a few months without income.
I commented this somewhere else, but it's probably a lot easier to take risks when you know that if you fail, your family will at least still have a place to sleep afterwards.
These guys have put the time, and they're obviously dedicated to their product -- which I think is crap, to be honest -- but the reasons the sharks gave to back out were utter garbage.

But now I understand he did what he had to to get a foot hold in his buisness and if he had not, we would have the financial stability that we had over the long run.

Yes and no. Those who are truly dedicated WILL devote 100% to their start-up. Women, and the men shackled by women, want to be part-timers and weekend warriors. @@icemachine79 they're spending $280k for 20%, if the business fails then they lose $280k. Of course they want someone that is 100% dedicated, otherwise they lose their money. Sharks are not a charity, you're clueless
@@XX-qj9sj Full time isn't the same as "fully dedicated". The Sharks were acting like petty elitists and you sound like a bit of a sociopath. I feel bad for your family and any ostensible "friends" you think you have.
This was kinda click bait, but I watched it all anyway, and it was good! It had it all: Suspense, intrigue, snarky-ness and a solid ending. Who knew?
In Australia beach crickets must be huge ... they deal with them with a freaking bat.
Any other Americans thinking "wtf is cricket?!"
JiffyWax Jesus i know what cricket is but I never knew this was something you can play on the beach. It’s not like us Americans go play baseball on the beach.
I'm French and what is this
Basketball on ice. Now that is something I'd wanna see.
cricket is an even slower and more boring version of baseball
JiffyWax Jesus you don’t know what cricket is? wow.. just goes to show you don’t pay attention to anything outside of america lmao
The inventor in the dark blue jacket is gorgeous. 😍
Was thinking the same...hes the hottest Aussie ever invented
With his rosie cheeks! Reminds me of Stu from What We Do In the Shadows.
the guy with all the lumps and bumps on his face and the creepy smile?
Good luck selling these here in the UK. The closest thing we have to a beach is a freezing cold rat filled river.
When Steve closes his notepad you know he is out
My aunt Rockface wasn't a Rockface but her name was Rockface because she had a big container of rocks dropped on her face at birth, the doctor had comfort rocks that he carried in his left hand during all surgeries/c sections. He dropsd it "with the force of a body builders punch" he said. Aunt Rockface lives a good life at least.
Sharks are out of their minds, it’s their money but the advice they gave was terrible. You can’t risk your families well being when you can fully support them with your current job and if you are happy and can mange both job and your business then you should continue and work on time management not putting all your eggs in one basket.
I think Andrew is wrong about one point. May be India is the biggest cricket market but it will be a risky market for this product. India's beach culture is not like the other countries he mentioned. Indians play cricket everywhere but beach cricket is not that big a thing in India unlike Australia and New Zealand. And anyway you will hardly find someone using coolers, let alone this cricket cooler in Indian beaches.
100$ is also a lot of money in India.
I can see why they don't want to lose their high paying day jobs for this idea. Can't somebody else put 3 sticks on a cooler too? or adjustment to the existing coolers?
No cause it's patented
Good on them for protecting their families.
it’s the first time i see naomi offer LMFAO
"there're not enough certainty for this business"
while the other sharks
"you want to changing a comfort job to a comfort job too"
Well Said.
How much of the show is just taped reactions edited in? Lol
A whole lot lol
So obviously UK Dragon’s Den is the original of these .....but seeing these foreign versions are so hilarious
This originated from Japan
Good they value family good for them.
These sharks: we want to see you starving to invest in you
