    Could you do a video on things you should do on your wedding day to get ready? Aka what to bring just in case, when you should put the gown on, etc. Please and thank you!

      Yes! I have a video that will launch in about 5 weeks on how to remove static from your gown and veil. In the description of that video will be a wedding day check list you can download and use! Let me know if you need anything else. :)

    I also steam horse hair hems all the time and steam doesn’t ruin them and if the tulle is steamed properly it’s not “always” going to have a ripple or wrinkle in it ..

    Horsehair hem used to be made by horsehair that’s why it’s called that

    Hi, we have a heirloom (76 years old) vintage dress from that is satin with lace do you have any advice for steaming this? We would appreciate it. Thanks!

      Hello! Test a small part of the bottom to see how the dress reacts… if it gets damaged stop. Or take it to a professional dry cleaner that specializes in garments to assist you!

    How would one steam a dress that's quite heavy on beading?

    • @WeddingFashionExpert
      @WeddingFashionExpert  2 роки тому

      If your gown has heavy beading and doesn't show wrinkles anywhere no need to steam those areas. Only recommend steaming materials that truly need it. Let me know if anything else is needed.

    Can a net fabric be steamed iron?

      I always recommend testing a tiny piece on end just in case it does get damaged - it isn't visible.

    I have a scattered pearl tulle wedding veil. Would it still be okay to steam it? I bought the streamer you linked. It should arrive today 😆

    • @WeddingFashionExpert
      @WeddingFashionExpert  3 роки тому +4

      If the pearls are glued on you want to be SUPER careful with the steamer. I recommend testing a small portion of the veil at the bottom. Just in case the steam ruins/melts the pearls you can cut that part of your veil like it never happened. Hope that helps!!

    I have a crepe dress. Is it o.k. to steam it with a steamer or in shower?

    • @WeddingFashionExpert
      @WeddingFashionExpert  3 роки тому

      Great question! You will want to talk to your bridal store or seamstress and ask them what is best to use on the fabric or to a professional dry cleaner that is well educated in fabrics and wedding dresses.

    Can you steam pleated tulle?

    • @WeddingFashionExpert
      @WeddingFashionExpert  Рік тому

      I do not recommend it. It steams out the pleats and creates a larger issue at hands. Anything pleated should be handled by an expert

    Is glitter tulle okay to steam?

    • @WeddingFashionExpert
      @WeddingFashionExpert  2 роки тому +2

      I recommend testing a small area in the bottom back of the dress to be sure it's safe to steam.

      You’re asking someone else to give you things for free so your friends won’t make fun of you?? 1. You need new friends. 2. You need to rethink your priorities in life.

    Seriously just take your gown to a dry cleaners to have it pressed.
    Really dont try to do yourself unless you very much know what your doing.

    • @WeddingFashionExpert
      @WeddingFashionExpert  2 роки тому +4

      It's best to consult your expert seamstress - not all dry cleaners are experts in wedding dresses. It really depends on the fabric and gown. Highly recommend watching this video for more information on bridal gown cleaning. ua-cam.com/video/IaoB2rakA38/v-deo.html

      This is clearly for brides having a destination wedding who HAVE to steam their own gowns after being on a plane. Clearly if you can get it done by someone else you would. Hush.
