I love this Mod. The Speed Clear is really fun!!! Also, things spawning in while you're waiting for a drop just makes sense. I hope TFP are considering that when Bandits are finally ready. (in 2028... ish)
i love the idea of the defend the safe house quest wish it was in the base game would be fun to build a spot a lil bit in a poi to defend a mini horde night really cool idea and mimics one of the best parts of the game the only thing i would change is maybe a 1 min timer to have more time to build something if you liked but i dunno how hard it is to do this quest
Yeah - it's a real toss up between those that want time to build and those that want to just get in and fight. I considered a random one where you wouldn't know how long they would take - but that seemed like the worst of both approaches :D

Great improvements on those quests, I really love what you've done, not only with this mod, but with everything else too. I do have one gripe though, there should be more quests to choose from overall, five are not enough with the increased quest types, they are barely enough for vanilla. The first few days I think most people focus on POI quests based on distance and type of loot, and even later in the game you get the feeling of "no good quests today". The Food/Meds quest is pretty much a no-go at the start and the Supply Drop, just like the Burried Supplies, eats away at the available POI quest options. Basically, I'd want a better chance of getting a quest type I like in a POI I like.
Hey mate - I hear you. Took a minute - I thought you were asking for more different quests, but you just (I think) want more choices - so 10 options to pick from, which would also help with the quest balancing. I'll have a look and see what can be done - I have a feeling others have done something similar before.
Currently playing Undead Legacy but I am thinking about switching to latest version of the game with this mod in mind, I just hope that the game already fix the problem with zombies doesn't spawn in clear quest with lead to soft-locking me from finishing the quest. Anyway, thank you for your hard work!
Hey CautiousPancake, loving the new quests and all the good work you do for us! Any chance of developing a quest type of gathering certain zombies and bringing them back to the trader for studying?? I was thinking it'd be hilarious if there was a harpoon-n-tether type of weapon that would tie the zombie to you and you'd have to wrangle it back to the Trader as it wraps around trees, gets stuck on rocks and cars, and possibly tears loose making you have to go get another one like it, Lol. If it's something you can pull off... GREAT! If not, then I'm happy to give you something to chuckle about 😎👍
That's an idea I've not tried - let me add it to the list and have it sit for a bit to see if I can see a way to make it work. It'll be harder than what I've done to date, that's for sure!
Just an idea for the med supply quests... Would it be possible to add temporary additional slots to the backpack to put the required items in, thus being a visual reminder to the player not to use the items. Loving that this has been updated 😎
That's an interesting idea! I also considered making a step where you combine the required mats into a single supply package - so that it uses less room, and it's a specific quest object that can't be used/lost. If this new version needs fixes that's something I'll consider implementing (but also look at the backpack slots you've suggested!)
Ideas for new quests types. If NPCs are added, maybe you can save people from POIs. A POI could be infested so much, that it is not worth/possible to safe, therefore you have to destroy (a part of) the building. Just for fun or the challenge, maybe somepeople would try to get the satchel, endloot etc. from a POI without killing a zombie, a pacifist type of quest. Another idea, a quest from a group that is looking for new members, therefore they are testing your skills and they demand that you do the POI with a particular weapon. Maybe some of those ideas work better only for lower tier POIs and if there are more type of quests it would also make sense to make some of them rarer than others.

I usually come back from time to time to see if there's something new I can figure out to get them working. Good thinking on the lower tier or rarer requirements - sometimes it's too much to have them always available.

I had an idea for a mod, give the traders another option besides buy/sell and quest...Jen has option(s) to heal you for money, Rekt can repair tools for money or maybe just pay for a food water fillup, this guy sells gas and/or repairs vehicles, this guy repairs armor, that guy repairs weapons. I would hate it on day 1 accidently getting an infection and the stuggle for a cure....ah there is jen....but the medic isn't selling a cure for THAT! Or why hang out near Rekt...for more seeds in inventory and rude comments to player?
That's a cool idea! For getting started with mods - I've used a few things, like trying to find other mods that do something similar, then working with them to understand how they work. There's Guppy's unofficial mod discord, which has a ton of really knowledgeable modders in it, and of course finding any/all modding videos on youtube. Basically it's a jump in and make small mods and tweak things. It's a steep learning curve, but worth it!
I'm on the default setting? (runs to double check in case I messed it up)... yep just the default. What do you use and why is it better - I'm genuinely curious to try!

I could add this for sure - I'll have to see what the kill count is for an infested tier 5 to match it to :)
Instead or in addition to the quest balancer I would prefer to have more quests to choose from.
The fun pimps have some on their roadmap though so I think there are two more from them coming.
CP question: how do you make it so someone can test/see a POI you are making as a challenge without sending the pre-fab files?
I don't know another way sorry, pretty much it's sending the prefab, or making a video to show people - or letting them join in game!
