Thank you Gunnar & Rein Elgersma for the incredible hike.
/ gunnarelgersma
Hiked around 20km that day and the glacier view was well worth the sweat.
For this hike I had Gunnar and Rein with me who also are experienced glacier guides. I do not recommend any inexperienced hikers to attempt this hike.
Mainly due to the strenuous climb and limited help available in case things go wrong.
For this hike, I had basic layers (shell jacket, thin fleece, and extra t-shirt) together with trail running shoes and softshell pants.
For food, a sandwich, chocolate plus some water, and my minimal camera gear set.
All the photographs in the video are shot with Olympus MJU II film camera together with two rolls of Kodak Portra 800 film.

Magnifico, bellissime riprese video e altrettante foto meravigliose. COMPLIMENTI
Hello! Really nice video you got here.
I am also planning to take mine to a hike on Sunday. I will be using Kodak Vision 3 250D 200 ISO. Did you set any settings on Olympus? Like did you turn of the flash in most cases?
Ayyyy video turned out great Joel! Thanks for an epic and looooong hike!
Dude thanks so much for the incredible hike and help with shooting! You guys are awesome and good luck with the coming road trip!
Wonderfully done and can’t wait for more. Amazing content as always. 🙏
Thank you so much for watching James and glad you enjoyed! Trying to get more videos out soon. 😀
Such a beautiful landscape...loved the shots!
Thanks so much Nuno and glad you enjoyed!
Think it'd be really cool to hear more about your country and the landscapes in a video, for us outside of Norway. Had a look through your videos and I'm blown away by how beautiful some of Norway is. Thinking about heading on a trip over to see for myself, but no idea where to start with where to go or how to plan it - I think it's be really interesting to hear about your favourite spots to explore and shoot aroudn the country, as well as being a really useful guide for some of us that want to head over and try it for ourselves :)
Thanks for writing this Danny. Definitely notes taken and I have been playing around this idea a bit already. Just need to figure out if that is made for photographer audience with similar interests to mine, or for wider audience who maybe aren't into hiking etc. Either way, really glad to hear you have enjoyed my films and like the way it looks over here. Hope you make it here someday! :)
Gorgeous thank you. Can you please advise what film would you recommend for the MJU II?
Thank you Michael! For most use, Kodak Portra 400 is amazing :)
I have seen so much of this country I’m fortunate to live in but it never stops to amaze me. Take 7:25 as an example. You’re just done. No point in looking for words. Glaciers are so majestic, I mean anywhere in the world. And we’re losing them… Fabulous video as always, and I loved all your photos! Try Lomochrome Metropolis some time, I think it’d suit the mountain mood :).
Thank you so much! Completely agree with that. 8 years into this country and I feel like I've have barely scratched the surface. Have to try get my hands in that film stock too!
Great video!! I alway use mju ii on street photography , it’s good camera for point and shot,!
Thank you very much! Totally agree with you and so nice you have one as well!
how many of these did you use the spot meter mode, and how many are edited ?
Some great shots in this one 😍
Thank you so much for watching and glad you enjoyed!

@@joelhypponen How is it so sharp! What was your post workflow?
I don't think the word cheap is suitable!! More like overpriced!!
Well, everything is relative since I got mine for 100 euros, but I agree there are some fat price tags for these.
@@joelhypponen I got mine for 50 euros!! And it is the dlx version!! It's just that nowadays it has gone up a lot!! So I don't think we can say that it's cheap anymore!! Lol
@@spyratekodaks7494 I agree with that, but I believe there are still some steal deals out there. But certainly not from any film camera dealers!
