This band is bonafide.
Bonafide!
Gotta be the greatest niche comment ever. 🤟🏼
Until they R-U-N-N-O-F-T.
THE WORLD NEEDS NATIVE HOWL RIGHT NOW BROTHERS!!
This is the first time I ever heard of Native Howl , great cover, I have been left wanting more 🤟
Thank you so much!!!
What the hell UA-cam?! It took 4 years to finally recommend this to me. With all the "weird" music I listen to it should have only taken 4 minutes. Better late than never I guess. Now I can add Thrash Grass to my musical rotation. Will fit nicely alongside Soul Metal and Bardcore.
Welcome to the world of Thrash Grass 🤘
Oooo yeah haw 🤘
@@TheNativeHowldamn good to meet y’all. I love this !! I think Uncle Ralph may have flipped over in Clinch County tho. lol. We still appreciated Bluegrass Living On. Especially a mashup like this. I Love It !!!
Next album: ...And Justice for y'all.
Best of internet!
Not quite as good as the album before the last, Ride the White Lightning.
Their groundbreaking crossover album of lullabyes and children's classics, Master of Puppies, was quite unexpected
Underrated comment
Yo.
Everyone is ignoring the best part of this video, the "Folk You" on his guitar.
That growl he does sounds like Mongolian throat singing, and it's glorious
As a musician who finds the most obscure songs to cover heavy, i approve this message.
fellow Detroiter. LOVE knowing there's great blues and country rock artists from home. keep truckin brothers.
I listen to bluegrass to chill outdoors and listen to metal in the gym, guess it's time to go deadlift in Appalachia. Yee yee bo
🤘🪕
Occasionally... not often but occasionally, UA-cam gives me something wonderful.
Hip hop and banjos. Alternative and banjos. Metal...and banjos. What a time to be alive. Lol
Love this, better late than never! Music is timeless after all
1:20 O Brother, where art thou fans would be proud... he's even holding his hat!
I know i am. Im sure you are. Great song and reference. Good day to you sir!
Oh absolutely.. and no way can you listen to this and NOT smile!! 😊😊
I'm a fan of both Metallica and the movie so this was like a gift from the heavens for me
George Clooney would be so proud
Glorious!
The smash up was so good I've got tears of moonshine
Instant sub. Thrash grass? That's Pure Michigan!
Trevor Reniger or maybe Bluemetal??
Watch video on Thunderhead...blow ur head off
It's epic
Trevor Reniger Thrash Grass!! 💪🏽
I think I actually found the sountrack for my soul....
How am i *just* discovering this now?? Dropped the ball on that one, algoritthym
Better late than never! Welcome to the world of Thrash Grass
I love thrash metal, and old school blue grass, this was an amazing gem of work. Thank you my brothers.
Blue Metal? new genre?
Metallica "Harvester Of Sorrow" is nowhere near thrash. Thrash is a lot faster and heavier ..... LIKE THIS ...... ua-cam.com/video/gtxV3rQgyls/v-deo.html
@@chrisw5742 Metallica we’re a thrash band before they turned into status quo on that shitty black album what you are referring to is a close relative of thrash called speed metal
@@edwardgrist6920 Exodus were never called speed metal lol
Thrash grass is what you are looking for
Saw these dudes in El Paso with Zakk Sabbath last Thursday. Insanely talented and an amazingly good show! Don’t sleep on this if you get a chance at tickets!
You guys brought the house down tonight with Blacktop Mojo and Clutch!
Thank you!! We had a BLAST 💥
Didn't know that I liked this, until now.
This is easily the best James Everettfield I've heard!
You get a 10/10 for originality.
And a thumbs up.
And maybe a high five, if I ever see you.
🤘🤘🤘
You win the internet
would it not be easier to just misspell it james hatfield?
Never thought these songs would work so well together, but DANG, they're viscerally matched.
Thank you!! 🤘🏼🎶
Such a fun take on a classic song!
Cant believe no one has commented on the fact that the lead singer looks like a southern version of jason momoa
thats because he's heard it so dang much lol
I've been saying that since I first watched it. Looks like Jason and sounds like james Hetfield
I believe he's from Detroit.
They’re not even from the south there from a little town in Michigan just a mile or so from me called Leonard Michigan
😂🤣 they're ALL yanks
Love you guys, from the little bartender at The Forge in joliet. ❤❤
🤘🔨🪕🖤🐺
Everyone says the vocalist looks like Jason Momoa. A less built version but the tin can microphone is great. We used to make telephones using them to know when dinner was ready while hanging in the treehouse as kids. Mom would “call” us on it and we could understand her words.
But, we used them to sing too and they capture a grovelly voice.
Great cover from Metallica
Absolutely welcome!! I grew up loving Metallica and having listened to a lot of folk music! O' Brother Where Art Thou is a great movie!! You guys blended two worlds together to perfection!!
Easily the most unique thing I think I've ever witnessed music wise
Thank you
Even wearing the black wristband. This is awesome and I'm a really hard sell on these mashup songs. The attention to detail is phenomenal and the guy singing Back and Forth between the two different vocal styles even in the same line is just great. You guys rock
Thank you for that. We really try to be as detail oriented as possible to make as authentic a recording and art piece as we possibly can. Keep rockin!
@@TheNativeHowl Of all the bands that cover this song, yours is by far my favorite. I never cared for Metallica's version (have tried to like it but frankly it sucks). You gentlemen out did yourselves, you took my favorite bluegrass song, cranked it up to 11 and made it one of my top 10 favorite songs, thanks!
@@TheNativeHowl love it!
Heck yeah, even FOLK on the guitar
The banjo player was the real hero here, let's be honest.
theres a point towards the end of the track where by virtue of what he is playing it stops sounding like banjo and starts sounding like sitar. really interesting
So when can we expect For Whom the Banjo Tolls to drop? Just curious.
dude!
Thomas Scott 😂😂😂
Id listen to that
Lars might stop by it like this or sue you. 50/50 odds. Either way, it will be worth it!
Thank you
This never gets old... Que "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou"..
As a hillbilly metal head from Central PA, this somehow speaks to me on a deeply spiritual level.
🤘🪕🔨
Finally a musical mashup that matches two of my completely different favorite things lol
I saw these fuckers LIVE, opening for BLS in Fayetteville AR, easily one of the best acts I've ever seen, in one of the best shows I've ever seen, let "opening acts". BANGED MY HEAD THE WHOLE FUCKIN' TIME, LOVED IT & LOST MYSELF IN IT! They whipped my ass into a fuckin' frenzy for the coming pit, within which my old ass got rocked straight in the face & wore a black eye for 2 weeks & fuckin' loved it & am still proud of it. Great pit! Great show! Great time! Great BAND! ... Great memories! 😉✌️🤘🖖 Getcha fuckin' Pull!!!
Haha hell yea brother 🤘
We saw you live last night in Columbia, SC! we really enjoyed y’all. It was nice to meet n greet after while buying a shirt. We came home and looked up your videos and songs till we fell asleep. Thanks again guys!
I am a Man of Constant Sorrow
I've seen trouble all my days
And I bid farewell to the Motor City
The place where I was born and raised
The place where we were born and raised
Anger, Misery
You'll suffer unto me
Harvester of Sorrow
Language of the mad
Harvester of Sorrow
You can bury me in some deep Valley
For many years, where I may lay
Then you may learn to love another
While I am sleeping in my grave
While he is sleeping in his grave
Anger, Misery
You'll suffer unto me
Harvester of Sorrow
Language of the mad
Harvester of Sorrow
All have said their prayers
Invade their nightmares
To see into my eyes
You'll find where murder lies
Infanticide
Harvester of Sorrow
Language of the mad
Harvester of Sorrow
Language of the mad
Harvester of Sorrow
Of Constant Sorrow
Harvester of Sorrow
Of Constant Sorrow
Harvester of Sorrow
Of Constant Sorrow
Harvester of Sorrow
Harvester of Constant Sorrow!
🤘🤘🤘🤘
For once, UA-cam suggests something that I actually like.
their AI has got to be getting better...its been recommending stuff I actually like too...wtf is going on here?!?
It's ok. I've emailed support and they said they'll fix it. You should get more Kardashian recommendations starting tomorrow.
Dood the native howls whole discographies is dope. Check em out.
Try thunderhead
Might just be my new favorite band.. lol
the brilliance to this song is next level
Whoever thumbs downed this, I seriously worry for you. When can I expect this to be on spotify?
Hey Trent, we aren’t sure yet because of licensing issues. We are still working at it but hopefully we will have an answer one way or the other in the near future. Thanks for the support!
@@TheNativeHowl reach out to Metallica themelves, they will surely help
@@SantomPh Metallica hates people using anything of theirs as far as I've heard.
These two styles of music were ment for each other!
I used to hear my dad play this. Always thoght it was mattalica
The first thing I thought of listening to this was that I need a werewolf horror film soundtrack headed by these guys
Huge smile on my face the whole time I watched it
I can't make perfect sense of this, oddly , I am glad it exists.
They mashed an 80s metal Metallica song called "harvester of sorrow" and a song by a bluegrass band called "man of constant sorrow" and they killed it.
HOW APPROPRIATE! I am from the upper midwest. Great place to be FROM. It is an emotional prison camp.
That was just badass. I knew there was a connection between bluegrass and metal!!
Things I didn’t know I needed or wanted:
1) this
When you gonna give us back Johnny cash already or Robert e lee you carpetbagger
Hot damn....that was some mighty fine picking and a strumming
Jesus, Mary; Mother of Joseph and Dale Ernhardt Jr - How did I not know this band existed...Fuken Brilliant!
Metal Grass! Awesome!
Holy shit... This is kinda rocking shit. Love it.. ♥️
It all came together better than I expected. The transitions are awesome, everything flows so smoothly.
The result... provides multiple eargasms. 😁
I love Django jumping over that log ..... so athletic..... and yeah .... I like the band kicking it as well
Didn't know I needed this or even wanted it,but happy I did...
I didn't even have to listen to it. I knew immediately I was gonna love this. Listening to it, boy was I right.
Reworked the song to bluegrass, absolutely genius
Oh mygawd. I just heard this for the first time today. Outstanding!
You have to make them faces while singing it 😂😂😂😂
The world definitely needs more of this
Loving The Soggy Bottom Boys x Metallica mash-up. The world needs more Native Howl. Folk yeah! 🪕🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
It's 9 in the AM, but I feel obligated to drink this moonshine now. Cheers
Holy shit! Toe tapping, head banging, jug playing badassery!
What sort of Witchcraft and devilry is this! You guy's are magicians or wizards! I was smiling through this whole song, sometimes laughing at how strange yet amazing it was.
I love it too!
So, uh...when exactly can we expect "...And Bluegrass for All" to drop?
Actually there's an album already out by either Hayseed Dixie or Iron Horse called "Fade to Bluegrass"
NIIIIIICE
Iron Horse did it.
We’re not exactly sure, but you bet your ass they’re gonna mix the bass guitar out of it!
That is "Fade to Bluegrass" and Fade to Bluegrass II," part of the Pickin on Series
Alright Then 🤘
So fresh, something different❤🖤♥️ I love you guys!
Dudes This is freaking OUTSTANDING
Keep this up!!!!!! Perfect!!!
Ha sweet guys! kicking ass!
Wooooow!!!
Got to see these fellas last night open for Corrosion of Conformity. Absolutely KILLED IT! I didn't even wait for the set to end. Went and bought a shirt, sticker and the double CD they had at the merch booth.
Thrash Grass is my new favorite metal genre.
🤘🤘
This is fucking fantastic. I don't know how I got here, but I'm staying.
Man 🐸 🤘that movie is cool and now this... Perfection!! 🎶
Dude Metallica and The dead south just had a baby
Easy there, should be s little gras on the infield before you play ball.
I posted my comment BEFORE I read yours lol. So cool someone else got the same vibes
Really enjoy this band’s sound. They just keep
bringing it.
This song made my beard grow a beard
That’s the goal! 🤘🏼😂
Certified banger
Fresh air ....i loved this it's my roots and my favorite band wrapped into one BadAzzz jam 💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸💯
Growth, evolution and balance in music. This is brilliant.
Blue grass metal is awesome...... I been lovin' it since Heyseed Dixie days......
Blessings from THE TRINITY 🌟🙏🕊️
Cheers 🤳🔥✨

I can only imagine how hard this was to create. Mad respect!
I remove my beard, only to reveal a slightly smaller beard
I tried pulling my beard but all it did was make my mouth hang open like a idgit.
Some baby beards need a little extra protection
That's true Chuck Norris stuff right there.......righ chare
Ahh, a recursive beard... Most clever!
@@ergbudster3333 *an idgit.
Those black wrist bands are rad.
Dudes eyes before the mic switch made me laugh. Definitely worth a like even for originality
See banjo does make everything better
Except involuntary sodomy
@@ximkai8794 I've always found involuntarily sodomizing folks a more nuanced approach
@@maryjaneberman7649 it does require more finesse than one would think.
If you dont like banjo you get the hell outta here 🤘🏻🤘🏻
especially incest!
What an amazing discovery. Greetings from Poland.
I want to like this twice.
Pure magic.
The song I didn't know I needed. I loved this so much!
Folk You..that was some mighty Fine Banjo picking..Mighty fine
The best of both worlds 👹
Just proves that you can add a kick ass banjo to any song and it will be cool as hell...
Back in the 90s i wanted to start a thrash polka band that also had banjos and bagpipes.
If this song only had bagpipes, it would pretty much nail it...
👍👍👍👏👏👏❤❤❤
The bagpipes are a symbol of Scotland. "Hillbilly" is the derogatory name for the people of the mountainous region of the Appalachia and the Ozarks. The original white settlers of this region migrated from Scotland and were supporters of King William III, hence, the nickname "Hillbillies".
Having bagpipes in a band that also had banjos would be very much in line with the history of the origins of these people.
Damn if this is the coolest sounding rendition of two songs blended together. Love the sounds and use of the true sounds of the instruments.
More than 2.
Steve 'n' Seagulls are hosting guests in the Seagulls' Nest. Love to hear the two bands together!
Never thought I’d see man of constant sorrow mixed with harvester of sorrow! Whack. WAY TOO COOL
🤘🪕
Good to see people having fun playing music again
