Hi pamela. YES. The reason being is that regardless the material of the lamp (glass, brass, clay) it still needs to be protected from getting scratched or damaged. This is the best way to keep it safe!
I have lamps with harps that are anchored by their collar UNDERNEATH the bulb socket. 55 year old lamps which have been packed many times. How do I pack so the harps aren't jostled out of alignment?
Hello Tal. If you pack the lamp shades separate from the lamps and keep the harps connected to the shades rather than the lamps, you can literally stick the harp into a bunch of crumbled up papers underneath the shade which should keep the harps from moving. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Simple. I thought it would have been a bit more involved. Thank you.
my pleasure.
I like how you make so simple. Will you still do the same thing if the lamps were non breakable, see brass lamps?

Can you do a video on packing large pictures? Thanks.
I promise we will, this fall, as we are extremely busy with moving right. Thanks for watching.
How does the double box package effect shipping cost?
Most shipping companies rely more on weight then on volume.
