I love your videos! I just wanted to share one of my favorite Disney World stories just for the heck of it: my younger sister and I are both shy, My shyness is much much worse than hers though. I was in about the 6th grade and already was self conscious about being too old for character meet and greets for some reason, so most of my conversations with princesses just included a “hello” and then letting my sister pick up the conversation. However my favorite interaction was with Tinkerbell... my sister and I were already laughing about what she had said to the families in front of us. When we got up to her, she looked at our sweatshirts and read the words on them, I was wearing a Gap sweatshirt and my sister’s said “Gymnast”. Tink asked if those were our names. I said no, and she immediately started yelling at me for stealing it from someone named Gap. It was hilarious. She even made a video with us saying hi to our cousin, who had cancer at the time. On our way out, she yelled after me, “I’m gonna tell Gap you have her shirt!” It was an overall great experience, and was the highlight of that trip. Sorry for the long story and thanks for making these videos, I love them!
Mouse Street TV I know, I was going through a weird phase then where I thought I was too old for everything... not like an I’m-too-cool-for-this kind of thing, more of a I-really-want-to-do-this-but-people-will-think-I’m-weird kind of thing. The Tinkerbell experience was my favorite though because most characters tried to engage my sister, but Tink made it really special and fun for both of us.😊
I went to Disneyland in February and it was the shortest lines I've ever seen! Easily got through over a dozen if not over 20 rides with several breaks. I went superbowl weekend which I think helped there be lower crowds. Weather was perfect too!
I’ve been to Disney world 9 times and I have found that Labor Day week is THE BEST!!!! there are absolutely no crowds the weather is really good and if you stay in the pop century you get deluxe dining free!!!! This is one of my favorite tips and I have tons more!

But overall there was a lot of uncertainty if I stayed (whether or not I would get more opportunities) and the risk wasn't really worth the reward. Also I'm really glad I can look back on my experience with fond memories, when I have lots of friends that are completely worn out working there.

A tip for the halloween party is that's you can go earlier than than the party starts. When I went in 2017 I was able to go early (I forget exactly the time) and stand in line to meet Moana who's line ended up 2ish hours once the party officially started

Oh cool! So she still has a few years to prepare. I don't think there's any jobs related to music through the college program though. The only jobs offered are the ones in the theme park. She might want to look into the professional internships?

Yes to bringing your own food! When I went a few years ago my friends and I brought pb&j sandwiches and snacks into the park and would eat them in line to save time! Kind of off topic but could you fo a video about filling in sparse brows? My natural hair color is dirty blonde and my brows are sparse because of that. Always look forward to your vids!
Haha I was literally thinking to myself last night, "I wonder if I should do a video on how to work with sparse brows"! Great minds think alike! In the mean time - I love Benefit Cosmetic's Gimme Brow. The fibers will attach to your brow hairs and even if you have sparse brows they will make them look a lot thicker! But they'll still look natural at the same time!
I went in July and no joke I’ve never been so hot as in the UK it’s not that hot or humid whereas the US is the complete opposite! Although the Park was very busy some of the wait times were quite manageable and if you have your fast passes it makes it a lot easier. Can’t wait to go back as I miss it already!
As long as you have a plan (vs. aimlessly deciding what to do as your day goes on) you can definitely get done most, if not all, of what you want to do! But putting up with the heat and crowds can be rough!

That is such a good/tough question! Mainly because my favorites are all still there! I think I'd have to say probably Ariel's Grotto Meet and Greet (the one at Disneyland that was replaced by Tinkerbell).
Hi Mackenzie! I just wanted to comment in regards to the question if you want experience to be a character, one of my good friends works at a party company where she gets to hang out with tons of different princesses when they go to birthday parties and sometimes even bigger events like fundraisers (my friend has worked at events for Dance Marathon and the Make a Wish Foundation!). She loves it, and I always tell her she should try a Disney audition. From what she told me, it could be a really good opportunity to learn about that sort of role, especially working with kids. I think a lot of different cities have companies like the one she works for so it could be one way! I have never worked for one or at anything like Disney so I can't say for sure, but I just wanted to put that out there! It also is a fun way to be a princess if Disney is a bit too far to work or not something you want to do or are able to do. :)
I think that would be a great experience! I do feel like I should say - from what I heard, Disney isn't too fond of the "princess parties". Mainly because they're making money off of their copyrighted characters. I could be wrong, but I've heard that Disneyland will check to see if the women auditioning post about that on their Instagram, and if they do they won't hire them. Again, this is just what I've heard, but I would hate for it to ruin your friend's chances if she does want to work for Disney! But if you know you don't want to work for Disney specifically or can't, it's a great alternative!

I try my best to make sure this question maintains character integrity. So Ariel at Walt Disney world is a mermaid how does she get off her shell when she needs to go swim with the fishes for a little bit. Does someone pick her up or can the shell move? I’m not sure how fully you can answer this question but I’m curious.
Unfortunately I can't answer that question, but if you think through it I think you'll begin to realize how difficult it would be to find someone strong enough to carry Ariel at the drop of a hat :)

Not sure you'll see this comment, but I was wondering how do you put Disney on your resume? Because it's such a huge company how do you do that and how often do you get questions about that?
That's a great question! I list both my roles and describe what I did. For character performer I would say "brought characters to life such as ......". I talked a lot about how I upheld the company values and what it was like working for a company well-known for guest service!
That's a good idea! I try to keep the titles of the questions up on the screen so if someone was scrolling through they could skip around and see which questions I'm answering. But I think I could include time stamps too!
I looove your name for us, and all your tips!! Also, for students wanting to visit, I go to Disney World in December every year the week before our 2 weeks of break and its not all that busy! I think our longest wait times were 120 minutes on Mine Train but all the lines were great overall !!! 💜💜
Amazing video! Thank you so much for answering my question. I was also wondering if there was a way to thank cast members. We're going on our honeymoon/one year anniversary next year and I'd love to be able to thank cast members for making our trip magical. Should I bring little thank you cards to write as we go through our trip or does Disney have another way to send thank you notes? When you call us brownies it reminds me of my childhood when I was a brownie for girl scouts and had to do a bunch of activities to get patches for my vest. Sort of similar to you missing Seattle when you lived in Florida there are so many times that I miss New Jersey because that's where I grew up especially the food. There are so many food items that just don't exist in Oregon that do in New Jersey and when I bring it up to my friends they look at me funny or tease me when I use an east coast phrase. I've lived in quite a few places so I've had to get used to new things. Nick and I celebrated hocus pocus 25th anniversary last night by watching the movie it was so much fun. Stephanie Mickle I'm from Long Valley, New Jersey (Northern NJ). I miss minute steaks, Italian ice, bagels, really good donuts, custard (soft serve ice cream) that's not DQ, really good pizza and really good Asian food and if course tasty cakes. I also really miss ocean city, NJ.
You can go to the city hall in Main Street and write a guest compliment for a cast member! It’s good to remember their name, where they work, what their job was, and it’s nice to write out what specific part of your experience with them was magical for you!
I agree with Vanessa - you can go to any guest services at any park and write what's called a "Fanatic Card". And they'll go on the employee's record, so if at some point they wanted a different role in the company or to become a manager that could help them!
I would love to see a video on the Halloween Party like idea you mentioned! I'm so excited that I'm going to go for the first time this year and feel very underprepared because Disney doesn't publicize that much. :) As always, I love to hear your thoughts on all things.

Fun!! I hope you have a wonderful trip! For the water rides there's usually spots where you can tuck a bag and keep it dry. So I'll just put my phone in my bag and I usually don't have any issues :) and I just got a random charger on Amazon!

Thanks Jordonna!! Yes, when I did the college program in 2015 I worked during Halloween and Christmas! And there were pros and cons. It was really cool to spend the holidays there, and see how it was decorated! As a kid I always dreamed of being able to see Disney during the holidays (but couldn't because I was always in school during that time). But the downside was that it was crowded, overall I feel like guests were quicker to get upset, and I missed my family. But I mean out of all the years I have to celebrate Halloween and Christmas (25 so far), I think I can afford to spend one away from my family :) I hope you get the chance to be a performer someday!
Make a Wish sets the family up for a specific trip (I think it's maybe 4-5 days in the parks) and the families will usually stay at Give Kids the World. Are you asking more about the perks or the logistics?
12:58 sometimes the guest will ask for the Entertainment Host to join in the picture as well. I personally don't like entering the photo/interaction because you are taking away from the magic that is meeting a Disney character.
True! I think it depends on the circumstances too. Like if the attendant/host decided to jump in as a joke or take a selfie on the guest's phone that probably wouldn't be appropriate. But if the guests had a great time talking to the host and they wanted the host in the photo as a special memory I think that would be totally fine! But it also seems like the training for attendants/hosts and their protocol varies as well between Disney World and Disneyland!
What to do at rope drop DOES depend on what park. I applied my final semester of senior year and DIDN’T get in. 😔 You are really great at upholding character integrity. For Pooh at Disneyland they don’t have a photopass, so I put my phone on video and let the attendants know. They then also screencapped while taking video (which I didn’t even know was a thing they could do). A cast member saw my Premium Plus Annual Pass when I was last at DW and asked me which park I prefer and I answered Disneyland. This was a day when I took a boat from my hotel to Disney Springs and then two buses from Springs to Animal Kingdom and then a bus back to Disney Springs and then a bus back to my hotel. Obviously, for me, Disney World is TOO spread out. I LOVE how close everything is in Disneyland. My favorite thing at Disneyland’s Halloween party was trick or treating and then watching the parade, which was really unique. I FORGOT about the music they used to play at DCA. Good memories. 😊😊😊
So true! Oh no! See I would never want to recommend someone wait until the last minute to apply, because there is the chance of that happening! Oh that's awesome! I will admit, some photopass/attendants are more tech-savvy than others! But that's nice they did that for you! Haha so true, Disneyland is a lot easier to get around! And park hop too! I have a question: How are strict are they about casting extremely pale characters (snow white, merida, etc.) and if you "hang out with" one of said characters, what happens if you get sun or slightly in tan in the summer while working?
If you were to get too tan or sunburned as a performer in one of those roles then you will not be able to be in those roles until a casting director or manager says otherwise.

A question that I have is let’s say I wanted to be a dancer in the parades, do they have specific auditions for those roles or do you just go to regular auditions for performers and they will cast you as a dancer in the parades? I would love a Mickeys Halloween Party video! I went last year mid-September on a Tuesday to Disneyland (so I can’t speak for people who actually go on Halloween) and it was awesome! The lines for rides were SO short and getting candy was a breeze. And when one of the character attendants noticed our party was hesitant about waiting in line to meet Sally and Jack, they gave us tickets to meet them later and told us we could be in the front when we came back which is super nice! I know it’s pricey but I only had to pay for myself so it wasn’t too bad. I would definitely recommend going to anyone who can!
I think going in September definitely helps! It will pick up in October, but from when I went in September or early October the crowds weren't that bad!
Hi! I love watching your videos, and I am so thankful for all of the information you’ve shared about your Disney performer experiences. I’m not sure if you’ll know much about this, as you’ve never mentioned it from what I remember, but is it an entirely different role to be a performer in shows/performances? Like if I hoped to be a princess who performs in a castle show, or a dancer on Main St. USA, etc, would I have to specify that somewhere in the application/audition process or is that all included in the “character performer” title?
Yes, it is a separate role! You'll want to look under the "dancer" title on the auditions website! But if you wanted to be a character in one of those shows - they pick directly from the pool of current performers. So you'd have to audition to be a "look-a-like" performer first.

Thanks Vilma!! I really want to do a series like that but I haven't decided how I'm going to do it yet. Like I kinda want to do a "natural" makeup series that hint at characters (like using purple eyeshadow for Ariel and maybe a coral lipstick). But I'm such a perfectionist I'm afraid to do it and hate what I come up with! Haha I think I've just put an unrealistic amount of pressure on myself because I want to create something unique which is a challenge.

I’m going to WDW in a week, all the way from Mexico 🇲🇽 and I wondered... my brother is on a wheel chair, can he enjoy Disney as anybody else? What rides can he get in? It’s our first time there and he’s really excited but also concerned that he may not be able to meet his favorite characters of all time... thanks for the video I really liked it and also you have such positive vibes💕
Yes he can! In fact you can go to guest relations and see if you can get a pass that will allow you to skip the line. I think there's a specific name for it (I just can't remember) but it's for people in wheelchairs or that have disabilities. My brother-in-law is handicapped and needs a wheelchair at times and we've been able to do that with him at Disneyland. I can't say it's always faster, but it allows you to go on the ride a certain way that is wheelchair-friendly. For rides - most if not all should be wheelchair accessible! Same with meeting characters, guests come in all the time in wheelchairs. It's totally normal there! You guys are going to have so much fun! :)
Hi Kenzie! I just wanted to say that I love your videos! Also, I have a question for you. After the Disney College Program, where you offered to continue working at Disney World or did you have to apply for another job to work for Disney?
Thanks Kelly! I auditioned while I was living there and just happened to get offered a role at the end of my college program. So they were technically two separate jobs. After my program ended I was on my own for housing and transportation and had to find a place to live and had to ship my car out.
I think it would be awesome!! I actually can't wait to see the live action movie that's coming out soon (not Disney related). But if Disney did do one, I would love to see someone like Ian Somelhalder as Prince Eric, I think he'd be perfect! I'm not sure who I would cast as Ariel, I'd have to think about it! I think having Rebel Wilson as Ursula would be SO funny. I know she was Ursula for a performance once, so I'm sure they could do it again!

I’m not sure if you know much about this stuff but I’m going to ask anyways. Do you know about any Disney careers? I have this dream of working for Disney but I’m not really sure what careers I could go into with Disney and every time I look it up nothing really pops up other than applications
Unfortunately I don't know a lot. I think there's so many different levels to the company it can be pretty overwhelming! There's imagineers, ESPN, tv/movies, theme parks, tech, retail, etc. Try checking this out: jobs.disneycareers.com/brands. It looks like it does a good job of explaining all the different sectors within the company!

Is the outdoorsy culture of Seattle/the west coast the only cultural difference you noticed when you lived in FL? I live on the east coast and have never been west so I'm curious about it!
Yeah, it's kinda hard to explain. It seemed like the way of life was different too. For example - where I grew up it was the norm to go to college. If you didn't, it was almost shameful. And you would go to a university too, like everyone applies for top colleges and if you end up going to a community college it's kinda frowned upon too. Obviously it's not like a written rule, but more like a societal norm. And I have several friends who are my age and getting their masters or going to law school. In comparison, I had lots of friends who had no desire to go to college and wanted to work for Disney instead. I had friends that worked at Disney while they went to college, but the fact that I was working at Disney and had a degree was rare. You're going to have people in the college program who are in college obviously, but I'm thinking more of the full-time cast members. So from what I could tell, it was perfectly normal for people there not to pursue higher levels of education. But - my views could be skewed if I only saw a portion of the population. Overall though, it seemed the pressure and drive to pursue higher levels of education wasn't there. I hope that makes sense, it's kinda hard to explain!
kenziemacbrown Thank you for responding! ❤ That is so interesting and it does make sense because that would also stick out to me. Not placing a huge cultural value on higher education must be a southern or a Florida thing because I don't think all of the east coast is like that. I live in the Washington DC area and college/university is very highly valued here. And community college is not anyone's first choice- unless you're broke like me and paying for school yourself! My mom is getting her PhD right now too. Pretty much everyone I know has multiple degrees or is getting one, so if I moved to a place where that wasn't going on I would definitely notice a difference too. I have a friend (has a degree in tech) who just moved to Florida to work for Disney and I always tell her....Disney is the only reason I'd live in Florida, if ever!

I love your videos! I just wanted to share one of my favorite Disney World stories just for the heck of it: my younger sister and I are both shy, My shyness is much much worse than hers though. I was in about the 6th grade and already was self conscious about being too old for character meet and greets for some reason, so most of my conversations with princesses just included a “hello” and then letting my sister pick up the conversation. However my favorite interaction was with Tinkerbell... my sister and I were already laughing about what she had said to the families in front of us. When we got up to her, she looked at our sweatshirts and read the words on them, I was wearing a Gap sweatshirt and my sister’s said “Gymnast”. Tink asked if those were our names. I said no, and she immediately started yelling at me for stealing it from someone named Gap. It was hilarious. She even made a video with us saying hi to our cousin, who had cancer at the time. On our way out, she yelled after me, “I’m gonna tell Gap you have her shirt!” It was an overall great experience, and was the highlight of that trip. Sorry for the long story and thanks for making these videos, I love them!

Mouse Street TV I know, I was going through a weird phase then where I thought I was too old for everything... not like an I’m-too-cool-for-this kind of thing, more of a I-really-want-to-do-this-but-people-will-think-I’m-weird kind of thing. The Tinkerbell experience was my favorite though because most characters tried to engage my sister, but Tink made it really special and fun for both of us.😊

I went to Disneyland in February and it was the shortest lines I've ever seen! Easily got through over a dozen if not over 20 rides with several breaks. I went superbowl weekend which I think helped there be lower crowds. Weather was perfect too!
You're right! Typically during any big sporting event the crowds are going to be down, which is super nice!
I’ve been to Disney world 9 times and I have found that Labor Day week is THE BEST!!!! there are absolutely no crowds the weather is really good and if you stay in the pop century you get deluxe dining free!!!! This is one of my favorite tips and I have tons more!

But overall there was a lot of uncertainty if I stayed (whether or not I would get more opportunities) and the risk wasn't really worth the reward. Also I'm really glad I can look back on my experience with fond memories, when I have lots of friends that are completely worn out working there.

A tip for the halloween party is that's you can go earlier than than the party starts. When I went in 2017 I was able to go early (I forget exactly the time) and stand in line to meet Moana who's line ended up 2ish hours once the party officially started
So true! I've hopped in to Jack and Sally's line around 5pm (when the party starts at 7pm) and have been able to see them right when it opens!

Yes to bringing your own food! When I went a few years ago my friends and I brought pb&j sandwiches and snacks into the park and would eat them in line to save time! Kind of off topic but could you fo a video about filling in sparse brows? My natural hair color is dirty blonde and my brows are sparse because of that. Always look forward to your vids!
Haha I was literally thinking to myself last night, "I wonder if I should do a video on how to work with sparse brows"! Great minds think alike! In the mean time - I love Benefit Cosmetic's Gimme Brow. The fibers will attach to your brow hairs and even if you have sparse brows they will make them look a lot thicker! But they'll still look natural at the same time!

I went in July and no joke I’ve never been so hot as in the UK it’s not that hot or humid whereas the US is the complete opposite! Although the Park was very busy some of the wait times were quite manageable and if you have your fast passes it makes it a lot easier. Can’t wait to go back as I miss it already!
As long as you have a plan (vs. aimlessly deciding what to do as your day goes on) you can definitely get done most, if not all, of what you want to do! But putting up with the heat and crowds can be rough!
kenziemacbrown my whole family is Disney crazy so our trip was planned a month before we went so we knew what we were doing everyday! The heat was tough and the crowds were hectic too!

Hi Mackenzie! I just wanted to comment in regards to the question if you want experience to be a character, one of my good friends works at a party company where she gets to hang out with tons of different princesses when they go to birthday parties and sometimes even bigger events like fundraisers (my friend has worked at events for Dance Marathon and the Make a Wish Foundation!). She loves it, and I always tell her she should try a Disney audition. From what she told me, it could be a really good opportunity to learn about that sort of role, especially working with kids. I think a lot of different cities have companies like the one she works for so it could be one way! I have never worked for one or at anything like Disney so I can't say for sure, but I just wanted to put that out there! It also is a fun way to be a princess if Disney is a bit too far to work or not something you want to do or are able to do. :)
I think that would be a great experience! I do feel like I should say - from what I heard, Disney isn't too fond of the "princess parties". Mainly because they're making money off of their copyrighted characters. I could be wrong, but I've heard that Disneyland will check to see if the women auditioning post about that on their Instagram, and if they do they won't hire them. Again, this is just what I've heard, but I would hate for it to ruin your friend's chances if she does want to work for Disney!
But if you know you don't want to work for Disney specifically or can't, it's a great alternative!

I try my best to make sure this question maintains character integrity. So Ariel at Walt Disney world is a mermaid how does she get off her shell when she needs to go swim with the fishes for a little bit. Does someone pick her up or can the shell move? I’m not sure how fully you can answer this question but I’m curious.
Unfortunately I can't answer that question, but if you think through it I think you'll begin to realize how difficult it would be to find someone strong enough to carry Ariel at the drop of a hat :)

Not sure you'll see this comment, but I was wondering how do you put Disney on your resume? Because it's such a huge company how do you do that and how often do you get questions about that?
That's a great question! I list both my roles and describe what I did. For character performer I would say "brought characters to life such as ......". I talked a lot about how I upheld the company values and what it was like working for a company well-known for guest service!

I looove your name for us, and all your tips!! Also, for students wanting to visit, I go to Disney World in December every year the week before our 2 weeks of break and its not all that busy! I think our longest wait times were 120 minutes on Mine Train but all the lines were great overall !!! 💜💜

Amazing video! Thank you so much for answering my question. I was also wondering if there was a way to thank cast members. We're going on our honeymoon/one year anniversary next year and I'd love to be able to thank cast members for making our trip magical. Should I bring little thank you cards to write as we go through our trip or does Disney have another way to send thank you notes? When you call us brownies it reminds me of my childhood when I was a brownie for girl scouts and had to do a bunch of activities to get patches for my vest. Sort of similar to you missing Seattle when you lived in Florida there are so many times that I miss New Jersey because that's where I grew up especially the food. There are so many food items that just don't exist in Oregon that do in New Jersey and when I bring it up to my friends they look at me funny or tease me when I use an east coast phrase. I've lived in quite a few places so I've had to get used to new things. Nick and I celebrated hocus pocus 25th anniversary last night by watching the movie it was so much fun. Stephanie Mickle I'm from Long Valley, New Jersey (Northern NJ). I miss minute steaks, Italian ice, bagels, really good donuts, custard (soft serve ice cream) that's not DQ, really good pizza and really good Asian food and if course tasty cakes. I also really miss ocean city, NJ.
You can go to the city hall in Main Street and write a guest compliment for a cast member! It’s good to remember their name, where they work, what their job was, and it’s nice to write out what specific part of your experience with them was magical for you!
I agree with Vanessa - you can go to any guest services at any park and write what's called a "Fanatic Card". And they'll go on the employee's record, so if at some point they wanted a different role in the company or to become a manager that could help them!
I would love to see a video on the Halloween Party like idea you mentioned! I'm so excited that I'm going to go for the first time this year and feel very underprepared because Disney doesn't publicize that much. :) As always, I love to hear your thoughts on all things.

Fun!! I hope you have a wonderful trip! For the water rides there's usually spots where you can tuck a bag and keep it dry. So I'll just put my phone in my bag and I usually don't have any issues :) and I just got a random charger on Amazon!

Hey Kenzie! I love your videos so much and really want to hang out with a character when I’m old enough! You really inspire me and keep me believing that dreams come true! Have you worked holidays like Christmas and Halloween and is it harder or easier? Do you have a favorite time to work?
Thanks Jordonna!! Yes, when I did the college program in 2015 I worked during Halloween and Christmas! And there were pros and cons. It was really cool to spend the holidays there, and see how it was decorated! As a kid I always dreamed of being able to see Disney during the holidays (but couldn't because I was always in school during that time). But the downside was that it was crowded, overall I feel like guests were quicker to get upset, and I missed my family. But I mean out of all the years I have to celebrate Halloween and Christmas (25 so far), I think I can afford to spend one away from my family :) I hope you get the chance to be a performer someday!

How do Make a Wish trips work at Disney World?
Make a Wish sets the family up for a specific trip (I think it's maybe 4-5 days in the parks) and the families will usually stay at Give Kids the World. Are you asking more about the perks or the logistics?

12:58 sometimes the guest will ask for the Entertainment Host to join in the picture as well. I personally don't like entering the photo/interaction because you are taking away from the magic that is meeting a Disney character.
True! I think it depends on the circumstances too. Like if the attendant/host decided to jump in as a joke or take a selfie on the guest's phone that probably wouldn't be appropriate. But if the guests had a great time talking to the host and they wanted the host in the photo as a special memory I think that would be totally fine! But it also seems like the training for attendants/hosts and their protocol varies as well between Disney World and Disneyland!

For Pooh at Disneyland they don’t have a photopass, so I put my phone on video and let the attendants know. They then also screencapped while taking video (which I didn’t even know was a thing they could do).
A cast member saw my Premium Plus Annual Pass when I was last at DW and asked me which park I prefer and I answered Disneyland. This was a day when I took a boat from my hotel to Disney Springs and then two buses from Springs to Animal Kingdom and then a bus back to Disney Springs and then a bus back to my hotel. Obviously, for me, Disney World is TOO spread out. I LOVE how close everything is in Disneyland.
My favorite thing at Disneyland’s Halloween party was trick or treating and then watching the parade, which was really unique.
I FORGOT about the music they used to play at DCA. Good memories. 😊😊😊

I have a question: How are strict are they about casting extremely pale characters (snow white, merida, etc.) and if you "hang out with" one of said characters, what happens if you get sun or slightly in tan in the summer while working?
If you were to get too tan or sunburned as a performer in one of those roles then you will not be able to be in those roles until a casting director or manager says otherwise.

I've never been to Disneyland's Halloween Party, but I'm planning on making one for Disney World since it seems to be a popular request!
Hey. I just discovered your channel and now I'm hooked. Have been binge watching them one after them other. I think I became a "Brownie" 2 mins into the second vid I watched. I'm going to disney world next mth and am superrrrr excited. How is the crowds generally in the first week and weekend of December?

Favorite Male and Female Marvel Superheroes?
Honestly, I wasn't super in to Marvel until recently. But I would say favorite Male Superhero is Black Panther, but I'm not sure about female. Can I say Okoye? Haha I don't know if she would technically be considered a superhero, but she's definitely a badass!

A question that I have is let’s say I wanted to be a dancer in the parades, do they have specific auditions for those roles or do you just go to regular auditions for performers and they will cast you as a dancer in the parades? By the way I love your videos so much thank you for going out of your way to make such amazing videos!! 😊💕

I definitely have the fear/anxiety of feeling too old at DCP if I get accepted again, I'll be turning 23 during the spring program, but I'm hoping to make the most of it regardless- I feel like overall I'd just be thrilled to be there in the first place! and btw, I got the seasonal Character Performer job at the theme park that's local to me! 1. I do like to sing, I just don't do it well! Haha I mainly reserve my singing for car rides!
2. I try not to miss Splash Mountain, it's one of my favorites!
3. That's a tough one! I've pretty much tried everything I've wanted to! Like there hasn't been a time where I'm like "that sounds really good but maybe next time". EXCEPT I just remembered that there was this mac and cheese dog thing at California Adventure that I didn't try because I wasn't hungry. But it looked GOOD! I want to try it next time!
4. Yes - Scarlett Johansson, Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo, Neil Patrick Harris, Kelly Ripa and Vince Vaughn. Those are all the ones I can think of off the top of my head!
5. I don't know if you've seen The Vampire Diaries, but I would LOVE to see Ian Somelhalder as Prince Eric! I think he'd be a good one!

Hi Kenzie. I will go to WDW in September as part of a business trip. My kids won't be travelling with me. I want to meet the princesses and ask them to record a short message for the kids for me to send home. I wonder if they can do that. Thanks.

I would love a Mickeys Halloween Party video! I went last year mid-September on a Tuesday to Disneyland (so I can’t speak for people who actually go on Halloween) and it was awesome! The lines for rides were SO short and getting candy was a breeze. And when one of the character attendants noticed our party was hesitant about waiting in line to meet Sally and Jack, they gave us tickets to meet them later and told us we could be in the front when we came back which is super nice! I know it’s pricey but I only had to pay for myself so it wasn’t too bad. I would definitely recommend going to anyone who can!
I think going in September definitely helps! It will pick up in October, but from when I went in September or early October the crowds weren't that bad!
Hi! I love watching your videos, and I am so thankful for all of the information you’ve shared about your Disney performer experiences. I’m not sure if you’ll know much about this, as you’ve never mentioned it from what I remember, but is it an entirely different role to be a performer in shows/performances? Like if I hoped to be a princess who performs in a castle show, or a dancer on Main St. USA, etc, would I have to specify that somewhere in the application/audition process or is that all included in the “character performer” title?
Yes, it is a separate role! You'll want to look under the "dancer" title on the auditions website! But if you wanted to be a character in one of those shows - they pick directly from the pool of current performers. So you'd have to audition to be a "look-a-like" performer first.

Thanks Vilma!! I really want to do a series like that but I haven't decided how I'm going to do it yet. Like I kinda want to do a "natural" makeup series that hint at characters (like using purple eyeshadow for Ariel and maybe a coral lipstick). But I'm such a perfectionist I'm afraid to do it and hate what I come up with! Haha I think I've just put an unrealistic amount of pressure on myself because I want to create something unique which is a challenge.
Haha no worries I get it! Being a bit of a perfectionist myself as well so I get it. I know whatever you come up with will be great though. Your skills and creativity with makeup is something that I really admire! 💛
I’m going to WDW in a week, all the way from Mexico 🇲🇽 and I wondered... my brother is on a wheel chair, can he enjoy Disney as anybody else? What rides can he get in? It’s our first time there and he’s really excited but also concerned that he may not be able to meet his favorite characters of all time...

Yes he can! In fact you can go to guest relations and see if you can get a pass that will allow you to skip the line. I think there's a specific name for it (I just can't remember) but it's for people in wheelchairs or that have disabilities. My brother-in-law is handicapped and needs a wheelchair at times and we've been able to do that with him at Disneyland. I can't say it's always faster, but it allows you to go on the ride a certain way that is wheelchair-friendly.
For rides - most if not all should be wheelchair accessible! Same with meeting characters, guests come in all the time in wheelchairs. It's totally normal there! You guys are going to have so much fun! :)

Hi Kenzie! I just wanted to say that I love your videos! Also, I have a question for you. After the Disney College Program, where you offered to continue working at Disney World or did you have to apply for another job to work for Disney?
Thanks Kelly! I auditioned while I was living there and just happened to get offered a role at the end of my college program. So they were technically two separate jobs. After my program ended I was on my own for housing and transportation and had to find a place to live and had to ship my car out.

I think it would be awesome!! I actually can't wait to see the live action movie that's coming out soon (not Disney related). But if Disney did do one, I would love to see someone like Ian Somelhalder as Prince Eric, I think he'd be perfect! I'm not sure who I would cast as Ariel, I'd have to think about it! I think having Rebel Wilson as Ursula would be SO funny. I know she was Ursula for a performance once, so I'm sure they could do it again!

I’m not sure if you know much about this stuff but I’m going to ask anyways. Do you know about any Disney careers? I have this dream of working for Disney but I’m not really sure what careers I could go into with Disney and every time I look it up nothing really pops up other than applications
Unfortunately I don't know a lot. I think there's so many different levels to the company it can be pretty overwhelming! There's imagineers, ESPN, tv/movies, theme parks, tech, retail, etc.

Is the outdoorsy culture of Seattle/the west coast the only cultural difference you noticed when you lived in FL? I live on the east coast and have never been west so I'm curious about it!
Yeah, it's kinda hard to explain. It seemed like the way of life was different too. For example - where I grew up it was the norm to go to college. If you didn't, it was almost shameful. And you would go to a university too, like everyone applies for top colleges and if you end up going to a community college it's kinda frowned upon too. Obviously it's not like a written rule, but more like a societal norm. And I have several friends who are my age and getting their masters or going to law school.
In comparison, I had lots of friends who had no desire to go to college and wanted to work for Disney instead. I had friends that worked at Disney while they went to college, but the fact that I was working at Disney and had a degree was rare. You're going to have people in the college program who are in college obviously, but I'm thinking more of the full-time cast members. So from what I could tell, it was perfectly normal for people there not to pursue higher levels of education. But - my views could be skewed if I only saw a portion of the population. Overall though, it seemed the pressure and drive to pursue higher levels of education wasn't there.
I hope that makes sense, it's kinda hard to explain!
kenziemacbrown Thank you for responding! ❤ That is so interesting and it does make sense because that would also stick out to me. Not placing a huge cultural value on higher education must be a southern or a Florida thing because I don't think all of the east coast is like that. I live in the Washington DC area and college/university is very highly valued here. And community college is not anyone's first choice- unless you're broke like me and paying for school yourself! My mom is getting her PhD right now too. Pretty much everyone I know has multiple degrees or is getting one, so if I moved to a place where that wasn't going on I would definitely notice a difference too. I have a friend (has a degree in tech) who just moved to Florida to work for Disney and I always tell her....Disney is the only reason I'd live in Florida, if ever!
