- A small leatherworking tool holder with a little bit of space for more tools. Personal project so I let a couple of mistakes slide - including some camera settings that need to be tweaked:(

I was enjoying the video, right up to the point when he stuck that round knife in the holder with the blade up. As a professional leathercrafter, that made me shudder! My round knives are so scary sharp that just slightly brushing your fingers against the blade would leave you with a nasty, nasty cut. Would have been much safer to cut a slot in the wood in which to drop the knife in, blade down.
It was my thoughts they are wicked sharp.
I was thinking the same thing.. Mine is Crazy Sharp, so he might wanna consider moving that...
Neat idea. Might have to do something similar to keep my workshop organised coz I have shit everywhere

Now that's a setup. I want to make like a suitcase of sorts. One side with tools, the other with tooling, stamps, etc. Then when opened, you have like a wall. I tend to carry my stuff from place to place. Once I'm stationery I'll make something better. Or leave what I have and drill it to the wall.
That's a good idea. I like what I made, but it doesn't quite have a home so it gets moved around my workspaces. Making it a case would protect the tools much better.
Yeah. I work in the house or the garage or anywhere. I don't do big crafts and currently have everything in 2 tackle boxes. Very annoying but manageable. It would be nice to just open it and go.

Don't be a modern day weenie. Nothing wrong with an open blade. Just be smart about it.
He could easily just make a leather sheath and its fine... Like he said it hasn't been an issue, I'm sure he is safe.👍

Thanks!(?) I think selling one is a great idea. Should the MDF be replaced with something nicer or use MDF and keep the price lower?

In my opinion since it is a workshop tool I would say plywood as I loathe MDF. But that is just me. Do your cost analysis and then compare pricing to Tandy’s to help set price.

Thanks! I am still considering selling them, but haven't had a chance to build them. I have time coming up very soon. I'll put it on the top of my list. Need to think about price some more. I'll reply here when I've got one for sale.

Overall I love it but that round knife sticking straight up is all wrong... re-think that. Mine is sharp enough to perform neurosurgery.
Looks pretty nice. However I really don’t understand a portion of logic in couple of moments. You could simplify couple of things and it wouldn’t really affect an overall look. 7/10
