Though love can manifest in intricate sonnets, songs, and soliloquies, it’s often most poignant when spoken in the softest and simplest of terms. In this reimagining of the Chris Botti recording, Kelly Hall-Tompkins’ heart-breaking violin and Kellerman’s floating flute do just that, dancing together in sweet and simple honesty.

That's NOT what's actually meant by the title of this song. It's OPPOSITE that feeling. It's about being SO DEEPLY in love with your mate.......that you don't mind growing old TOGETHER.

This was my favorite song while performing Reiki trying to heal my beloved senior cat. Ultimately she had a brain tumor and I was unable to heal her. She passed away 3 days ago. Love gets old but it just gets better and never ever dies. I heard this piece of yours on *Soundscapes* (Music Choice) on the comcast/xfinity channels for months and still do. My oldest brother was in the hospital having had a triple bypass a week after being diagnosed with a State 3 cancer in his esophagus. He was in inpatient/in rehab from July 7 through Sept 22 2021. Though he had treatment and surgery for the cancer too, we are currently waiting for a biopsy of a very small node in a lung. We keep hope and faith and pray this is a benign node.
This song made my heart cry and smile because I truly believe that love, even as it gets older, is eternal and heals us too in a way that faith, belief in God does too. I don't know what your thoughts were when you wrote this on "love getting old," but it brings such emotion I sometimes cannot even say how much and how I feel: Sad, thankful for healing and all bestowed upon us, happy......... This song brought me an immense sense of peace and comfort while my brother was in the hospital and rehab and gave me that feeling that though I wasn't able to be there with him physically t visit (due to restrictive covid things) I felt close to him anyway in thoughts and prayers and the love I have for him that whole time. Thank you, it's beautiful.

Hi Music in Motion, 'Love Gets Old' was composed by Holly Palmer / Benji Hughes, I was inspired by Chris Botti's version to do a cover.
A better title would have been "Love NEVER gets old". 'Love gets old' sounds more like a complaint. This piece is way too beautiful for that, Mike.

The title is NOT meant to be trite or boring. It's meant as a recognition of TRUE LOVE GETTING OLDER WITH YOUR SOULMATE. As in.......as long as we get old together.
