The dude that made a flip after being shot at 10:57 is a legend!
oh yea, that looks like it hurtt
Ouch.
Is nobody going to mention the guy who threw himself backwards at 10:58
Superb acting on his part!
i dont know
@@History__001huh?
Can we get a best supporting actor award for this guy? 😂
15:51 actually your garand's ammo feeding failing made your footage more immersive and realistic. Imagine how many of the soldiers in real life had such failures on their gun. It would've been nightmare.
They maybe used airsoft
@@amarjahic6546The rounds used are blanks as there are muzzle flashes but no real rounds being fired.
@@ProtogenRoleplays1698 thought they might have used bbs? how are you supposed to tell if you've been hit? (though id understand if not since that could be dangerous with no one wearing any sort of eye protection)
@@delusion5867 It varies from reenactment group to reenactment group.
@@delusion5867 your usally just looking for muzzle flashes being shot in your direction and you die once you think you would have been shot or your group just tells you you will die in battle
You might not remember me and my friend we came up to you while you guys were walking to the beach never been so happy to see my friend so happy. Keep up the good work.
Yes! D-Day Ohio! Are there requirements for equipment?
Most likely
Depends on role, operation and historical accuracy
The person above me is correct. Cause if I was on D-Day I would want the m7 assault gas mask bag, a bag over my rifle too, but if I was in Battle of the buldge, I would get the M4 lightweight gas mask bag. Or my helmet net, decals, my uniform, like on D-Day with my unit, we have M41 field jackets, but the others could’ve had HBTs. Later in the war some units went with the M43, but the 1st infantry division 16th Infantry Regiment Dog company chose to stick with the M41 the whole war, while the airborne in D-Day chose the M42, but then went to the M43.
ETC
ETC
You get it
Thanks, just curious whether you can go without a rifle sling or something.
I mean you surely can't wear your birthday suit
I cant imagine what these boys went through. 17, 18, 19 and even 30 year olds. Now look at us. :(
Now we're better than ever 😎
@@charon_lix no we are 101% worse
We legit have the privilege of not dying from the common cold@@Tobinator7274
My Grandfather was apart of the D-Day landing. He told me once when I was a kid about it. I asked him if he was scared his response was “sometimes in life you will find yourself in scary situations, but all you can do is push on, trust in your training, and push that fear behind you son” I didn’t know what he was talking about until I got older
@@Tobinator7274no we are 58% better with just equipment then you have technology that gets you atleast 95% so that is factually wrong
The weapons jamming is historically accurate for a beach assault.
Thumbs up👍
The "Inglorious Basterds" cut for the disclaimer.😅
Brilliant❤❤❤
"The actors were not shooting at each other" the guy with the RPG ne like:
That DUKW really working as should it had been in real life was LOVELY!
6:36 your lucky I love you is kinda suspicious should his fiancé be concerned😂😂
dude that scream when you died was so good, that was amazing
Seen a big red 1 patch in the bunch. My grandpa was in the 1st from 42 to 45. North Africa Sicily Omaha Beach first wave, hurtgen forest and aachen was his last he was wounded and out of water shortly after that. Bronze star at troina, Sicily. Forever my hero. Miss him alot.
My gramps was in the coastguard and my dad tells me stories since he died before I was born. He will forever be one of my heros though
Thank you for sharing your grandpa's story!!
Yeah my great grandpa was on Pearl Harbor he grabbed his 1911 and shot at the air like he was actually from the USA although he was Arab instead of
Another banger from World War Wisdom, thank you for this
Sweet. I have a old DUKW in the garage and a few others. I probably should get involved one day.
Love to see more D-Day reenactment footage
Call that Garand Bob Marley, cause it keeps jamming
5:30 The guy on the left playing dead did the family guy death pose
Haha 😂
I love your content and learning about World War 2!
Wow! Awesome footage, can’t wait for this years! Always love these, they look so fun and I wish i could do them! And your camera “setup/place” looks great!
11:04 *WHERE ARE THE SMOKE GRENADES!!!! THROW SMOKE!!*

Nice video, really entertaining and historical keep it up 👍
Love all of these videos, very informative and enteryaining! Also, where did you get your navy life belt?
Keep up the good work man
I’ve always wanted to go thank you world war wisdom for putting me in the action
love the vids keep it up
I love the videos, and you have inspired me to start collecting ww2 items, especially those used on D-Day
Rita Hayworth was a fine honey and you damn right a lot fought for her 😮💨
Shoutout Shawshank Redemption too.
great video! and remember those re-enactment photos from about a year ago? I have them set for my home and lock screen (better than the soldior on his knees as he watches a building burn down in the night)
Real good medic there lol
Excited to watch
Did I see Echos of the Past in there? 7:01
Yes, good eye!
@@WorldWarWisdomwhere do you get all of your equipment from?
@Ghostshotplayz I know a lot of dudes get stuff from ebay for cheaper repros and some originals but Stand in the door 1944 has some really good looking stuff. I don't reenact so I can't give you any more help but from watching and my own collection of GWOT stuff I know ebay is usually not a bad place
thank you for your service
only 10k views??? this deserves more
I reenact German 12th SS, that "For Rita" shout got a pretty good laugh outta me. I was actually watching this from the crowd that day cause No SS allowed on the beach battle anymore. Also is your nickname "Hollywood"?
Really?
@WorldWarWisdom
Yes another dday Ohio video also can you do a video on your bolt action m1903 Springfield Parris and Dunn training rifle
I recently got one off eBay and I would like to see a review on one by a fellow reenactor I don’t have the 1903 training rifle from eBay just yet in my physical possession yet
but I would love to see a video on one before the training rifle from eBay becomes one of my new items for my reenacting and military surplus collection.
Best reenactment ever
The sexy m1 garand ping always goes for Rita
Great warning
16:10 haha RITAAA 😂😂
I wonder where this is and how much needs to be spent to go to the event. I'd assume it's a trip to Normandy France, and you rent or buy the equipment from a surplus/vintage store or the people who run the event.
With the 80th anniversary of the original landing being this year, it would be a huge honor to me to try and reenact what our canadian boys did on Juno beach that day
I believe this takes place in Ohio
I was there too, and I met him with a group of friends.
literaly what all men wish we could do in sand
Yes.
Soldiers were instructed to manually cycle the M1 if failed to work in semi-auto.
bro we are just a like its crazy i just got a usmc ka bar sinned by all of the 5th army
Do yall use hearing protection because that maut be real loud
What are they using in the fake bazooka and mortar?
Love this event I believe i was actually there on that particular day
I got yelled at in rockford ill reenactment for shooting that close to someone. But I would love to do this with yall some day but I'm without a unit at the moment..was with 1st I'd 26 infantry reg.c. company bunch of old guys decided to retire and left me and 3 other young guys to find another squad..
so good
Medic: Where are you hit?
WWW: AAAAUUUUUGGHHHHH 😂
🙌
How many young people today even know who Rita Hayworth was?
Where can I get one of those M1 Garand gel blasters in New Zealand?
Gel?
FOR RITA made me laugh
Big red 1s now stations at Kansas army base
What is cost of your equipment in this battle becase i would like to this soon
Same
Be prepared to drop about $2000 between uniforms and weapon
@@christianwilson5956 dayum! I better start saving
@@mrtunasandwhich6799 find a group first. Many groups and experiences reenactors have loaner gear. You can also buy piece by piece and build your kit over the year.
@@mrtunasandwhich6799 first you should find a unit to join. They might have loaner gear for you to use while you get started. You can also buy it slowly over time.
Can you do next Berlin or the strong hold plz
This is cool asf
With my first time ever seeing this happen I liked it. But I have a question. Is the weapons heavy?
Yes most of the time. I’m not sure though.
i live in norway and i have a us web gear but there are no us reenactnents here
Why do you never use a Thomson?
Wow alot of people show up.
We'll meet Again!
Very good acting!
Im interested in this, Is this like airsoft where actual projectiles are being shot or is it basically just roleplay??
Its blanks im pretty sure
@@1SilverDollar Ok ty
Are you single? I love history and the fact that you renact it is so amazing I would gladly be decked out with you. I don’t care if all I can do is dress up in non military clothes I want to watch in person. Plus I would get to hear every you know! And see the gear it’s so exciting thinking about it! ❤
That’s kinda weird
@@KitDaKat it’s hard to find a man that loves history so much that they are willing to dress the time period with so much accuracy. I admire it and find it very attractive 🤷🏻♀️
My dad drove a duck during WWII.
Near you standing a Polish soldier? 😁

For Rita!!!
For Rita!
It's an interesting vehicle I think I had a toy of it I was told that my dad you didn't have one of these but he had one of the cars small cars that was amphibious of course I was young at the time
Btw how can I get a job or a hobby but where would I sign up bc this is the thing I want to do
I'm guessing you buy all the stuff (uniform, gun, equipment props, etc) and sign up somewhere.
@@TheTrueMr.Chickenwell you’d probably get someone to teach you some stuff
FOR RITA!!!
FOR RITA!
FOR RITA!
FOR RITA
I was there but didn’t see you
That's so cool!
Question: is this airsoft? How do you know when you’re hit?
Real guns, but they fire blanks. The hit system is kinda like an honor system, but he has some older videos that explain better
@@isaaks350 thanks!
I'm just thinking about how two officers would react if they were called out to shoot in the area and there are 30 - 50 people in military uniforms shooting.
Can anybody answer when you get shot does it actually hit your skin
Nice for ritaaaa 😂
Can you give me some history about who Rita was?
American actress that was popular in the 40’s
I might be going as a reenacter this year so don’t shoot me (I’ll be a wss medic) lol
Is it bb or air soft
No real gun with blanks
So what are they shooting if they arent shooting eachother?
Blanks
do you get hurt when you get hit
No.
im at 3:31 rn
howdy
im 13. is it possible for me to join re-enactment groups?
In 3-5 years yeah,
@@Bountyhopper HAHA Maybe he could be on the German side, they had 'em pretty young.
@@tinman8518 I doubt any reenacting groups would let him field at that age
@@Bountyhopper Just joking.
Airsoft shells, or what are they firing?
Blank rounds
Bruh, this looks like you time traveled back in time... Good shit.
@WorldWarWisdom
I beleive that the gas cylinder on yourgarand may be broken that may be why your rifle was not cycling😊
Are those real weapons 🤔
Yes, but they fire blanks
I'm pretty sure you know what you are doing but it looks so strange to me that so many soldiers are running around without being shot. How accurate is your reenactment when it comes to the number of people being shot?
Well sense the real landing on Omaha had 34,000 troops and suffered 2,400 casualties, you really can’t fully count the losses with 100-200 reenactors
What are the were the guns real
Ye
the guns are real?
Yes, but they fire blanks
Is he in real war?
No, it's just a reenactment of the most successful operation during WW2. Operation Overlord took place from June 6th, 1944 to August 30th, 1944.
Is this airsoft or actual guns
Actual guns that fire blanks
Do u perform this in front of an audience or just do it by urselfs
There a big audience
@@Bountyhopper ok Ty
depends, this is a public reenactment where they do battles but there's 2 others, one where they show how a US soldier would look like in WW2 and a private reenactment, saying from memory so sorry if I said something incorrect
Is this real gun bcs idk 😅
The guns are real but they are firing blanks
IS THIS REEL
IS IT
Did ppl actually get killed in this video
No, they use blanks
@@Jackiewinkell2 they used blanks. This is a historical reenactment of d-day
